Impulsive stabilization of nonlinear systems

In this paper, we investigate the impulsive stabilization ofnonlinear systems by employing Lyapunov's direct method. Sufficientconditions for both stabilization and destabilization are obtained.Some examples are also worked out which demonstrate the sharpnessof the conditions.

本文根据非正交模理论导出了描述光栅作用下双波导间反向耦合的耦合模方程组.通过数值计算对这种结构的反向耦合特性进行了初探,并同光栅作用下单波导反向耦合特性作了比较.     

Impulsive control of a Lotka-Volterra system

This paper investigates control problems of a Lotka-Volterrapopulation growth model. We assume that our only means of controllingthe population dynamics is via impulses in the N₁ population,i.e. adding or removing some members. With this impulsive control,we establish criteria for keeping all the species from goingextinct by stabilizing some positive point, which may not bethe equilibrium point of the system. Several examples are alsoworked out.
