A cost-effective, iron- and manganese-oxide-supported clinoptilolite-based rock was prepared. Based on its nanoporous structure, it worked as a nanoreactor, thereby providing enhanced functionalities. The mono- and bimetallic Fe- and Mn-oxide-supported clinoptilolite was thoroughly characterized with thermoanalytical FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and XPS spectroscopy. All the spectral procedures that were used confirmed the occurrence of a new MnO2 phase (predominantly birnessite), including mostly amorphous iron oxi(hydr)oxide (FeO(OH)) species on the surface of the above-synthesized adsorbents. The synthesized products validated a considerably higher adsorption capacity toward Pb(II) pollutants compared to the natural clinoptilolite. The following order of a(max) toward Pb(II) was found: MnOx-zeolite (202.1 mg/g) > FeO(OH)-MnOx-zeolite (101.3 mg/g) > FeO(OH)-zeolite (80 mg/g) > natural zeolite (54.9 mg/g). The adsorption equilibrium data were analyzed by the two-parameter empirical isotherm models Langmuir, Freundlich, and BET as well as the three-parameter Redlich–Peterson isotherm. 相似文献

Quantitative determination of omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in human plasma and urine with high accuracy and precision provides significant information to monitor the underlying etiology of several diseases. In this regard, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry is a good choice owing to its great selectivity and sensitivity. Additionally, the hybrid quadrupole–time of flight–mass spectrometer systems provides easy identification of target compounds with superior mass measurements. In this study, an analytical method has been developed for simple, accurate and simultaneous determination of linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid in a short chromatographic analysis period. The developed method is suitable for the quantitative detection of these four compounds with detection limits ranging between 1.1–3.0 ng ml−1 and its applicability was assessed in human urine and plasma samples. As a result, acceptable accuracy (between 83 and 111%) and good precision (<6%) were obtained for target compounds using matrix matching calibration strategy. 相似文献

Chiral monoaza-15-crown-5-type lariat ethers annelated to alkyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-α- and β-d-glucopyranosides have been synthesized. These macrocycles generated significant asymmetric induction as phase-transfer catalysts in a few two-phase reactions. The catalytic effect of the lariat ethers with methoxy, ethoxy, and i-propoxy substituents on C-1 of the sugar unit in both α and β positions was compared. In liquid–liquid two-phase reactions, the nature and position of the substituents did not have much effect. The α-anomers were somewhat more efficient in terms of enantioselectivity than the β forms. In asymmetric Darzens condensations, in the epoxidation of trans-chalcone, in the Michael addition of β-nitrostyrene and diethyl acetamidomalonate, and in the reaction of 2-benzylidene-1,3-indandione with diethyl bromomalonate, maximum enantioselectivities of 73, 94, 78, and 72%, respectively, were obtained in presence of glucopyranoside-based lariat ethers as catalysts. 相似文献

Exploring materials with regulated local structures and understanding how the atomic motifs govern the reactivity and durability of catalysts are a critical challenge for designing advanced catalysts. Herein we report the tuning of the local atomic structure of nickel–iron layered double hydroxides (NiFe‐LDHs) by partially substituting Ni2+ with Fe2+ to introduce Fe‐O‐Fe moieties. These Fe2+‐containing NiFe‐LDHs exhibit enhanced oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity with an ultralow overpotential of 195 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm?2, which is among the best OER catalytic performance to date. In‐situ X‐ray absorption, Raman, and electrochemical analysis jointly reveal that the Fe‐O‐Fe motifs could stabilize high‐valent metal sites at low overpotentials, thereby enhancing the OER activity. Density functional theory (DFT) has been applied to the analysis of the structural and electronic properties of the alkyl-cobalt(III) phthalocyanine complexes, [CoIIIPc]-R (Pc = phthalocyanine, R = Me or Et), and their pyridine adducts. The BP86/6-31G(d) level of theory shows good reliability for the optimized axial bond lengths and bond dissociation energies (BDEs). The mechanism of the reductive cleavage was probed for the [CoIIIPc]-Me complex which is known as a highly effective methyl group donor. In the present analysis, which follows a recent study on the reductive Co-C bond cleavage in methylcobalamin (J. Phys. Chem. B 2007, 111, 7638-7645), it is demonstrated that addition of an electron and formation of the pi-anion radical [CoIII(Pc*)]-Me- significantly lowers the energetic barrier required for homolytic Co-C bond dissociation. Such BDE lowering in [CoIII(Pc*)]-Me- arises from the involvement of two electronic states: upon electron addition, a quasi-degenerate pi*Pc state is initially formed, but when the cobalt-carbon bond is stretched, the unpaired electron moves to a sigma*Co-C state and the final cleavage involves the three-electron (sigma)2(sigma*)1 bond. As in corrin complexes, the pi*Pc-sigma*Co-C states crossing does not take place at the equilibrium geometry of [CoIII(Pc*)]-Me- but only when the Co-C bond is stretched to approximately 2.3 A. The DFT computed Co-C BDE of 23.3 kcal/mol in the one-electron-reduced phthalocyanine species, [CoIII(Pc*)]-Me-, is lowered by approximately 37% compared to the neutral Py-[CoIIIPc]-Me complex where BDE = 36.8 kcal/mol. A similar comparison for the corrin-containing complexes shows that a DFT computed BDE of 20.4 kcal/mol for [CoIII(corrin*)]-Me leads to approximately 45% bond strength reduction, in comparison to 37.0 kcal/mol for Im-[CoIII(corrin)]-Me+. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction and molecular dynamics simulation has been used to perform complete structural characterization of nitromethane solution of a 16-membered gold(I) ring. The joint application of these two methods was an adequate tool to describe not only the structure of the complex but also the solvation properties of the complex in nitromethane and the effect of the solvation on the bulk structure. It has been found that a relatively diffuse slightly distorted solvation shell is formed around the complex, following the shape of the molecule. Nitromethane molecules in the solvation sphere are distributed randomly; no special orientation can be detected. The interaction energy of the complex with nitromethane molecules is attractive. In bulk, besides the antiparallel orientation of the nitromethane molecules, T-shape orientation and long-range order in antidipole orientation can also be detected. 相似文献
