For the IR spectra of the hydrogen bond a general theoretical model is presented which puts on equal footing the Fermi resonance and the coupling between the high and low frequency modes. The fundamental hamiltonian is derived and its spectral consequences studied in detail. A new steroidal-platinum(II) hybrid compound was synthesized using a simple and efficient methodology. The synthesis was performed by a convergent approach with cross metathesis (CM) as a key step. An olefin derived from lithocholic acid and a vinyl substituted ethylenediamine derived from l-serine were used as chiral building blocks, which were combined in the CM step. The most important advantage of this method was the utilization of l-serine as a cheap, stereoisomerically pure substrate. A steroid with a diamino system in the side chain was subjected to reaction with potassium tetrachloroplatinate to obtain the target platinum(II) complex. Steady-state emission spectroscopy of 1-anilino-8- naphthalene sulfonate (ANS) and 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH), fluorescence anisotropy, and DSC methods were used to characterize the interactions of the newly synthesized 1-carba-alpha-tocopherol (CT) with a 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC) membrane. The DSC results showed significant perturbations in the DPPC structure for CT concentrations as low as 2 mol%. The main phase transition peak was broadened and shifted to lower temperatures in a concentration-dependent manner, and pretransition was abolished. Increasing CT concentrations induced the formation of new phases in the DPPC structure, leading to melting at lower temperatures and, finally, disruption of the ordered DPPC structure. Hydration and structural changes of the DPPC liposomes using ANS and DPH fluorescent probes, which are selectively located at different places in the bilayer, were studied. With the increased concentration of CT molecules in the DPPC liposomes, structural changes with the simultaneous formation of different phases of such mixture were observed. Temperature studies of such mixtures revealed a decrease in the temperature of the main phase transition and fluidization at decreasing temperatures related to increasing hydration in the bilayer. Contour plots obtained from concentration–temperature data with fluorescent probes allowed for identification of different phases, such as gel, ordered liquid, disordered liquid, and liquid crystalline phases. The CT molecule with a modified chromanol ring embedded in the bilayer led to H-bonding interactions, expelling water molecules from the interphase, thus introducing disorder and structural changes to the highly ordered gel phase. 相似文献

Mono- and diglycerides play an important role in the metabolism of plants and animals. They are usually constitutive elements of complex mixtures and are not always as main components, which considerably hinder the identification of these analytes. This work communicates about a synthesis of a wide range of esters of glycerol and aliphatic C(6)-C(20) acids and presents gas chromatographic characteristics of 32 compounds in the form of the most reproducible parameters-linear-programmed retention indices on high-performance capillary columns with non-polar stationary phases. Expression, characterization, and mutagenesis of a series of N-terminal fragments of an animal fatty acid synthase, containing the beta-ketoacyl synthase, acyl transferase, and dehydratase domains, demonstrate that the dehydratase domain consists of two pseudosubunits, derived from contiguous regions of the same polypeptide, in which a single active site is formed by the cooperation of the catalytic histidine 878 residue of the first pseudosubunit with aspartate 1032 of the second pseudosubunit. Mutagenesis and modeling studies revealed an essential role for glutamine 1036 in anchoring the position of the catalytic aspartate. These findings establish that sequence elements previously assigned to a central structural core region of the type I fatty acid synthases and some modular polyketide synthase counterparts play an essential catalytic role as part of the dehydratase domain. 相似文献

We present a new idea of marking based on spectral properties of CO2 laser radiation. The idea has been illustrated on RF excited waveguide CO2 lasers in different configurations: single channel, multi-waveguide and slab-waveguide ones. The pulse operation of the laser has been considered as well. The advantage of the presented diffraction marker is avoiding complicated and fallible mechanical elements. The only executive elements of the marker are a diffraction grating and a piezoceramic transducer. It has been shown that the slab-waveguide configuration of the RF excited CO2 laser equipped with an unstable resonator is the most promising configuration for application to the diffraction marker. 相似文献
