DIRECT DETERMINATION OF NEODYMIUM AND ERBIUM IN RARE EARTH MIXTURE BY DERIVATIVE SPECTROPHOTOMETRY

The absorption spectra of 4f electron transitions of the complexes of neodymium and erbium with 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid in the presence of diethylamine and ethanol have been measured by normal and third-derivative spectrophotometry. Their molar absorptivities are 70.7 l.mol~(-1).cm~(-1) for Nd and 62.5 l.mol~(-1).cm~(-1) for Er. They are 7.6 times and 14.9 times greater than those of corresponding chlorides, respectively. Use of the third-derivative spectra both eliminates the interference of Ce(Ⅳ) and increases the sensitivity for Nd and Er. Beer,s Law was obeyed from 0-10 ug/ml of Nd and Er. The method has been applied to the determination of neodymium and erbium in rare earth mixtures.     

Hydrogen bond directed synthesis of pyridazine and naphthyridine containing macrocycles

This work describes a high-yielding, one-step synthesis of pyrizadine and naphthyridine containing macrocycles directed by intramolecular H-bonding.     

Quark-diagram estimates ofCP violation in two-body baryonicB_d^0 - \bar B_d^0 decays

CP violation in partial-decay-rate asymmetries are examined for some two-body baryonic decays of \(B_d^0 - \bar B_d^0 \) system. We discuss two feasible experimental circumstances: the symmetrice ⁺ e ^? collisions (i) on theZ ⁰ resonance to produce incoherent \(B_d^0 \bar B_d^0 \) states, and (ii) just above the ?(4S) resonance to produceC=even \(B_d^0 \bar B_d^0 \) states. Using the quark-diagram scheme, we estimate the branching ratios of those decays, and the numbers ofb \(\bar b\) pairs needed for testing theCP-violating effects for 3σ signature. We find that the promising channels may beB _d ⁰ , \(\bar B_d^0 \to p\bar p\) , \(\Delta ^ + \bar \Delta ^ - \) , \(p\bar \Delta ^ - \) , \(\Delta ^ + \bar p\) , \(n\bar n\) , \(\Delta ^0 \bar \Delta ^0 \) , \(n\bar \Delta ^0 \) , \(\Delta ^0 \bar n\) , \(\Sigma _c^ + \bar \Sigma _c^ - \) , \(\Lambda _c^ + \bar \Lambda _c^ - \) , \(\Sigma _c^ + \bar \Lambda _c^ - \) , \(\Lambda _c^ + \bar \Sigma _c^ - \) , \(\Sigma _c^0 \bar \Sigma _c^0 \) , \(\Xi _c^0 \bar \Xi _c^0 \) , which should be interesting for experimental observation.     

A note on approximate controllability for semilinear one-dimensional heat equation

The one-dimensional semilinear heat equation is considered. It is shown that if the nonlinear functionF(y) is uniformly bounded then the system is approximately controllable for every given terminal timeT>0 under some ordinary condition onb. The results may be extended to the general one-dimensional semilinear heat equation with one-dimensional control or to a boundary control heat system with semilinear boundary condition.

通过对经典弹性力学半反演法的特点与应用力学方法的特点的对比,阐明应用力学方法是在经典弹性力学半反演法的基础上发展出来的,指出应用力学方法源自经典弹性力学．讨论了在弹性力学的教学过程中,突出半反演法和应用力学方法之间的关联,会产生很好的教学效果．     

三电极共面介质阻挡放电的放电特性及诱导气流实验研究

等离子体流动控制激励器由于其响应速度快、激励频带宽、能量损耗低、可靠性强的优势,在航空航天领域的主动流动控制等方面得到了广泛应用.文章提出了一种新型的等离子体气动激励器——三电极共面介质阻挡放电激励器,研究了该激励器电极结构对放电特性和诱导气流速度的影响,并与传统共面介质阻挡放电和沿面介质阻挡放电激励器进行了比较.结果表明:（1）随着激励电压的提高,高压电极和地电极之间先出现了丝状放电并逐渐延伸到第三电极;（2）随着第三电极与高压电极之间的距离增大,诱导气流速率从2.4 m/s下降到0 m/s,而第三电极宽度的变动对诱导气流速度影响可忽略不计;（3）相同外部条件下,该激励器诱导的气流速度小于沿面介质阻挡放电激励器,但高于共面介质阻挡放电激励器.
