Vibrational Structure of the B—X System of Isotopic Ago Molecules

Spectra of ¹⁰⁷Ag¹⁸O and ¹⁰⁷Ag¹⁶O molecules have been obtained in a low-pressure arc in oxygen atmosphere, and recorded with medium dispersion. Vibrational assignments for the bands of B ²π —X²π system were verified by the study of the oxygen isotope effect, and the vibrational constants were obtained for the states involved in transitions.     

多级离心泵内叶轮出口压力脉动研究

为研究瞬态工况下离心泵叶轮出口处的压力脉动情况,为离心泵泄漏流道流动提供边界条件,建立了包含叶轮和导叶流道的离心泵模型,基于CFD方法计算得到了其在不同工况下的性能参数,利用测试数据对结果进行了验证。分析了瞬态工况下叶轮出口处压力的变化趋势,比较了不同工况对叶轮出口压力脉动的影响,发现叶轮出口压力随叶轮旋转呈周期性变化,压力脉动频率与转速及叶轮数量有关;偏工况时叶轮出口压力脉动趋势与额定工况基本一致,但脉动频率及脉动幅值有较大区别;随离心泵转速增加,叶轮出口处压力脉动的最大值和最小值均呈减小趋势,但幅值随转速增加而增加,且增幅明显。     

Electromagnetic wave absorption of polymeric nanocomposites based on ferrite with a spinel and hexagonal crystal structure

We have investigated composites designed for microwave absorption based on magnetic filler, composed of phases within the SrO-Fe₂O₃ system, embedded in a polyphenylene sulfide matrix with a concentration ratio of 80:20 by weight. The formation of the nanosized particles of SrFe₁₂O₁₉ and Fe₃O₄, as the principal magnetic phases was achieved via the co-precipitation of Sr²⁺/Fe³⁺ ions using different molar ratios. The various precursors obtained were calcined between 600 °C and 900 °C in air. The electromagnetic parameters of the composites were measured with a vector network analyzer at 400 MHz to 32 GHz. The results show that with a composite composed of a complex magnetic filler comprising the nanoparticles of two magnetically diverse phases, i.e., a spinel phase as the electromagnetic wave absorber in the lower GHz range and a hexagonal phase operating at a higher GHz range, above 32 GHz, a microwave absorber with an broad absorption range can be prepared.     

A Classification of 2-Arc-Transitive Circulants

A graph X is k-arc-transitive if its automorphism group acts transitively on the set of k-arcs of X. A circulant is a Cayley graph of a cyclic group. A classification of 2-arc-transitive circulants is given.     

Quantum Interference, Quantum Theory of Measurement, and (In)completeness of Quantum Mechanics

The new techniques and ideas in quantum interferometry with neutrons, photons, atoms, electrons, and Bose condensates that fluorished in the last two decades have influenced in a decisive way the thinking and the research in the foundations and interpretation of quantum mechanics. The controversies existing among different schools on the reality of matter waves of quantum theory, the postulates of quantum measurement theory, and the (in)completeness of quantum mechanics have to be approached now in a new way. Our argumentation follows the spirit of the Paris school.     

Localization of Surface Spectra

We study spectral properties of the discrete Laplacian H on the half-space with random boundary condition ; the V(n) are independent random variables on a probability space and λ is the coupling constant. It is known that if the V(n) have densities, then on the interval [-2(d+1), 2(d+1)] (=σ(H ₀), the spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplacian) the spectrum of H is P-a.s. absolutely continuous for all λ [JL1]. Here we show that if the random potential P satisfies the assumption of Aizenman–Molchanov [AM], then there are constants λ _d and Λ _d such that for |λ|<lambda; _d and |λ|> Λ _d the spectrum of H outside σ(H ₀) is P-a.s. pure point with exponentially decaying eigenfunctions. Low temperature nuclear orientation of239Np in gadolinium host

The angular distribution of γ-radiation from the decay of²³⁹Np oriented at low temperatures in gadolinium host was investigated. The orientation parameters B2 and B4 were determined. The attenuation factors for two long-living states in²³⁹Pu at 391.5 keV and 285.4 keV were calculated. From the anisotropies measured the multipole mixing ratios for 11 gamma-transitions in²³⁹Pu were deduced. The results obtained support the assignment of spins of the levels at 492.2 keV and 391.6 keV as 3/2⁻ and 7/2⁻, respectively.     

Analysis of confiscated fireworks using Raman spectroscopy assisted with SEM‐EDS and FTIR

A forensic analysis of several samples of pyrotechnic artefacts was performed by Raman spectroscopy assisted by scanning electron microscopy/energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (SEM‐EDS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. Among the components, several nitrates, ammonium perchlorate, nitrocellulose, metallic titanium particles and shellac were detected. The combination of Raman spectroscopy and SEM‐EDS showed very useful performance. All components were detected by Raman spectroscopy except for shellac, kaolinite and titanium particles, which were not conclusive enough and had to be determined by FTIR and EDS. Carrier envelope phase stabilization of a Yb:KGW laser amplifier

In this paper we report on the active stabilization of the carrier envelope phase (CEP) of a Yb:KGW chirped pulse amplifier laser system seeded by a Yb-doped solid-state Kerr-lens mode-locked oscillator. The regenerative amplifier delivers 180 fs CEP stable pulses of 30 μJ-1 mJ energy at a repetition rate tunable from 1 to 200 kHz. The bandwidth of the feedback loop was extended by a factor of 5 using a specially designed high-pass filter, which resulted in a dramatic decrease of CEP jitter below 0.45 rad after the amplifier.
