A synthetic tris-(bis-(aminomethyl)pyridine) receptor was prepared in excellent yields via reversible imine condensation strategy. Catalytic activity in Henry reactions of the corresponding copper(II) complex was studied. Capitalizing on previous works by Anslyn with related receptors, the dramatic increase in basicity induced by this type of complex on diketo-derivatives was used to perform a nucleophilic addition of a deprotonated substrate onto an electrophile within the cavity. Hence, a Lewis acid stabilized nitronate was reacted with various aldehydes. A notable preference for small reactants easily accommodated in the cavity over encumbered ones was observed, thus representing an example of substrate-selectivity. 相似文献

The properties of four-wave interaction via the nonlinear quantum vacuum is investigated. The effect of the quantum vacuum is to generate photons with new frequencies and wave vectors, due to elastic photon-photon scattering. An expression for the number of generated photons is derived, and using state-of-the-art laser data it is found that the number of photons can reach detectable levels. In particular, the prospect of using the high-repetition Astra Gemini system at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is discussed. The problem of noise sources is reviewed, and it is found that the noise level can be reduced well below the signal level. Thus, detection of elastic photon-photon scattering may for the first time be achieved. 相似文献

The interaction between broadband drift mode turbulence and zonal flows has been studied through the wave-kinetic approach. Simulations have been conducted in which a particle-in-cell representation is used for the quasiparticles, while a fluid model is employed for the plasma. The interactions have been studied in a plasma edge configuration which has applications in both tokamak physics and magnetopause boundary layer studies. Simulation results show the development of a zonal flow through the modulational instability of the drift wave distribution, as well as the existence of solitary zonal flow structures about an ion gyroradius wide, drifting towards steeper relative density gradients. 相似文献

The analyses of possible conformations, molecular structures, vibrational and electronic properties of 2-(methylthio)nicotinic acid molecule, C7H7NO2S, with the synonym 2-(methylsulfanyl)nicotinic acid have been first presented theoretically. At the same time, FT-IR and micro-Raman spectra of 2-(methylthio)nicotinic acid were recorded in the regions 400–4000 cm?1 and 100–4000 cm?1, respectively. In our calculations, the DFTB3LYP method with 6–311G(d, p) basis set was used to have the structural and spectroscopic data about the mentioned molecule in the ground state and the results obtained were compared with experimental values. Furthermore, gauge invariant atomic orbital (GIAO) 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts in different solvents, UV-vis TD-DFT calculations, the highest occupied molecular orbitals (HOMO-2, HOMO-1, HOMO), lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO), molecular electrostatic potantial (MEP) surface, atomic charges and thermodynamic properties of molecule have been theoretically verified and simulated at the mentioned level. The energetic behavior of title molecule in different solvent media was investigated by using DFT/B3LYP method with 6–311G(d, p) basis set in terms of integral equation formalism polarizable continuum model (IEFPCM). We present optical characterization and laser results achieved with single-crystal fibers directly grown by the micro-pulling-down technique. We investigate the spectroscopic and optical quality of the fiber, and we present the first laser results. We achieved a cw laser power of 10 W at 1064 nm for an incident pump power of 60 W at 808 nm and 360 kW peak power for 12 ns pulses at 1 kHz in the Q-switched regime. It is, to the best of our knowledge, the highest laser power ever achieved with directly grown single-crystal fibers. 相似文献

We use time-dependent density functional theory and Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics methods to investigate the fragmentation of doubly ionized uracil in gas phase. Different initial electronic excited states of the dication are obtained by removing electrons from different inner-shell orbitals of the neutral species. We show that shape-equivalent orbitals lead to very different fragmentation patterns revealing the importance of the intramolecular chemical environment. The results are in good agreement with ionion coincidence measurements of uracil collision with 100 keV protons. 相似文献

We analyze the dynamics of an AdS5 braneworld with matter fields when gravity is allowed to deviate from the Einstein form on the brane. We consider exact five-dimensional warped solutions which are associated with conformal bulk fields of weight –4 and describe on the brane the following three dynamics: those of inhomogeneous dust, of generalized dark radiation, and of homogeneous polytropic dark energy. We show that, with modified gravity on the brane, the existence of such dynamical geometries requires the presence of non-conformal matter fields confined to the brane. 相似文献
