Electro-optically active polymer–liquid crystal composites based on ferroelectric liquid crystals and stretched porous polyethylene films were developed. The alignment of ferroelectric liquid crystals incorporated into the porous polyethylene films with average porous diameter of around 200 nm was observed and studied. It was shown experimentally that these samples containing ferroelectric liquid crystals are flexible electro-optical films exhibiting a saturation electric field near 2·10Vm?1 and a response time of about 30 μs under the action of the saturation field. A simple theoretical model of ferroelectric liquid crystal molecules' complete reorientation in electric fields inside pores of the films has been proposed and confirmed experimentally.  相似文献

An efficient and simple method for the synthesis of 2-unsubstituted 1-aryl-4- and 1-aryl-5-acylimidazoles has been developed. It consists in the condensation of α-diketone monooximes with aromatic amines and formaldehyde on the presence of boron trifluoride etherate, leading to the formation of stable boron trifluoride complexes of N-oxides. Further reduction of these complexes led to the corresponding imidazoles. This method permits broad variations of substituents in the aryl part of these compounds.  相似文献

1,1,1-Trifluoro-4,5,5-trimethoxyhex-3-en-2-one and lithium (2Z)-1,1,1-trifluoro-5,5-dialkoxy-4-oxohex-2-en-2-olate were synthesized for the first time via direct trifluoroacetylation of 2,3-butanedione acetal derivatives. A simple and effective approach to acetal or acyl substituted CF3-pyrazoles, 5,5′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-3,3′-bipyrazole, and, to 5-trifluoromethylfuran-3-ones is presented.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the finite-element analysis of natural vibrations and hydroelastic stability of two parallel plates interacting with liquid. The influence of the fluid layer thickness on the eigenfrequencies, vibration modes and hydroelastic stability boundary are estimated based on the results of numerical solution of some example problems. The numerical investigation substantiates the existence of various instability modes, the onset of which depends on the combinations of kinematic boundary conditions specified at the plate ends. We present a method for finely adjustable electroosmotic flow (EOF) velocity in cathodic direction for the optimization of separations in capillary electrophoresis. To this end, we use surface modification of the separation fused silica capillary by the covalently attached copolymer of acrylamide (AM) and 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonate (AMPS), that is, poly(AM-co-AMPS) or PAMAMPS. Coatings were formed by the in-capillary polymerization of a mixture of the neutral AM and anionic AMPS monomers premixed in various ratios in order to control the charge density of the copolymer. EOF mobility varies in the 0 to ∼40 × 10−9 m2 V−1 s−1 interval for PAMAMPS coatings ranging from 0 to 60 mol.% of charged AMPS monomer. For EOF in PAMAMPS-treated capillaries, we observed (i) a negligible dependence on pH in the 2–10 interval, (ii) a minor variance among background electrolytes (BGEs) in function of their components and (iii) its standard decrease with increasing ionic strength of the BGE. Interest in variable cathodic EOF was demonstrated by the amelioration of separation of two kinds of isomeric anionic analytes, that is, monosaccharides phosphates and helquat enantiomers, in counter-EOF mode.  相似文献

A second plateau in the harmonic spectra of laser-driven two-electron atoms is observed both in the numerical solution of a low-dimensional model helium atom and using an extended strong field approximation. It is shown that the harmonics well beyond the usual cutoff are due to the simultaneous recombination of the two electrons, which were emitted during different, previous half-cycles. The new cutoff is explained in terms of classical trajectories. Classical predictions and the time-frequency analysis of the ab initio quantum results are in excellent agreement. The mechanism corresponds to the inverse single photon double ionization process in the presence of a (low frequency) laser field.  相似文献

We prove that the standard second‐kind integral equation formulation of the exterior Dirichlet problem for the Helmholtz equation is coercive (i.e., sign‐definite) for all smooth convex domains when the wavenumber k is sufficiently large. (This integral equation involves the so‐called combined potential, or combined field, operator.) This coercivity result yields k‐explicit error estimates when the integral equation is solved using the Galerkin method, regardless of the particular approximation space used (and thus these error estimates apply to several hybrid numerical‐asymptotic methods developed recently). Coercivity also gives k‐explicit bounds on the number of GMRES iterations needed to achieve a prescribed accuracy when the integral equation is solved using the Galerkin method with standard piecewise‐polynomial subspaces. The coercivity result is obtained by using identities for the Helmholtz equation originally introduced by Morawetz in her work on the local energy decay of solutions to the wave equation. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献
