Colloidal catalysts for oxidation of water to dioxygen, which are stable on storage and under the reaction conditions, are synthesized based on CoIII, MnIII, FeIII and CuII hydroxides. Stabilization of the colloids with dextrated starch allows the process of hydroxide ageing to be stopped at the stage of the formation of primary nuclei (ca. 2–3 nm from transmission electron microscopy data). Molecular mechanics and dynamic light scattering studies indicate a core-shell type structure of the catalysts, where the hydroxide core is stabilized by the molecular starch network (ca. 5–7 nm). The colloidal catalysts are highly efficient in oxidizing water with one electron oxidant Ru(bpy)33+ at pH 7 to 10. The influence of pH, catalyst concentration, and buffer nature on the oxygen yield is studied. The maximal yields are 72, 53, and 78 % over Fe-, Mn- and Co-containing catalysts, respectively, and turnover numbers are 7.8; 54 and 360, respectively. The Cu-containing catalyst is poorly effective to the water oxidation (the maximal yield is 28 % O2). The synthesized catalysts are of interest for stopped-flow kinetic studies of the mechanism of the water oxidation and as precursors for anchoring nanosized hydroxides onto various supports in order to develop biomimetic systems for artificial photosynthesis.  相似文献

By employing a tunable Ti:sapphire laser, we conducted an investigation into the effects of pump wavelength deviation on the laser performance of Yb:KLu(WO4)2 crystal. Pumping efficiencies exceeding 70% could be reached under lasing conditions with a 3-mm crystal of Yb concentration of 5.24 at.%, when the pumping wavelength was within the main absorption band centered at 981 nm extending from 974 to 990 nm. For different pumping wavelengths, the laser exhibited a single output–input relation with respect to absorbed pump power, giving an average slope efficiency amounting to 51%.  相似文献

Single-pass pumping of a thin disk consisting of an only 50 microm thick epitaxial layer of 32 at.% Yb-doped KLu(WO(4))(2) grown on a 0.35 mm thick undoped KLu(WO(4))(2) substrate is demonstrated. The thin-disk laser delivered 9 W of continuous wave output power near 1030 nm with a slope efficiency of 77%.  相似文献

We consider an exact expression for the 6j-symbol for the isosceles tetrahedron, involving SU(2)SU(2) group integrals, and use it to write the two-point function of 3d gravity on a single tetrahedron as a group integral. The perturbative expansion of this expression can then be performed with respect to the geometry of the boundary using a simple saddle-point analysis. We derive the complete expansion in inverse powers of the length scale and evaluate explicitly the quantum corrections up to second order. Finally, we use the same method to provide the complete expansion of the isosceles 6j-symbol with the explicit phases at all orders and the next-to-leading correction to the Ponzano–Regge asymptotics.  相似文献

The anticancer effect of thiacarpine, a synthetic analogue of the known cytotoxic alkaloid polycarpine isolated from the Pacific ascidian Polycarpa aurata, was investigated in vivo in experiments using mouse solid Ehrlich carcinoma tumor as the target. A high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique using a MR tomograph "PharmaScan" US70/16 (Bruker, Ettlingen, Germany) was used for visualization and quantification of tumor size. Fluorescence microscopy and image analysis were applied to determine Ehrlich carcinoma cell chromatin condensing (apoptosis) and necrosis in Ehrlich carcinoma cells at the action of thiacarpine in in vitro experiments. The scan and size calculations of the tumor and some mouse organs were carried out during the experiments. Thiacarpine in a total dose of 100 mg/kg was found to exhibit the delay in growth of the mouse tumor. The antineoplastic effect of this compound was accompanied by an increase in the lifetime of experimental mice in comparison with the control group of animals. Our data show that the ability of thiacarpine to induce apoptosis in carcinoma cells may contribute to thiacarpine anticancer effects against mice solid Ehrlich carcinoma in vivo detected by MRI.  相似文献
