A systematic investigation into the surface properties of siloxane rubber/carbon black (CB) nanocomposites has been performed, using an automated scanning probe microscope. In this way the influence of CB concentration and curing rate of the siloxane rubber matrix on roughness and conductivity of the composites was studied. Decreasing the curing rate while keeping the CB concentration resulted in a decrease in both roughness and surface conductivity, which can be explained by an additional siloxane‐rubber layer formed during curing.

A new multiple-layer matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS) sample-spotting technique is described. This fast and easy technique was evaluated with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) standards and optimized conditions for these synthetic polymers were obtained. PEGs up to 35 kDa were detectable with this approach and single monomer resolution was observed up to 20 kDa. The spotting was performed using a multiple-layer approach, which offers the capability of complex sample preparation without the requirement of premixing the different matrix, analyte and doping salt solutions. The technique reduces the time required for sample preparation and offers high flexibility with respect to sample composition and solvents utilized for the crystallization of the compounds. The technique is thus perfectly suited for applications in combinatorial material research.  相似文献

Fuel additives used in particle traps have to comply with environmental directives and should not support the formation of additional toxic substances. The emission of metal additives from diesel engines with downstream particle traps has been studied. Aspects of the optimisation of sampling procedure, sample preparation and analysis are described. Exemplary results in form of a mass balance calculation are presented. The results demonstrate the high retention rate of the studied filter system but also possible deposition of additive metals in the engine.  相似文献

Dielectric-barrier discharges (silent discharges) are used on a large industrial scale. They combine the advantages of non-equilibrium plasma properties with the ease of atmospheric-pressure operation. A prominent feature is the simple scalability from small laboratory reactors to large industrial installations with megawatt input powers. Efficient and cost-effective all-solid-state power supplies are available. The preferred frequency range lies between 1 kHz and 10 MHz, the preferred pressure range between 10 kPa and 500 kPa. Industrial applications include ozone generation, pollution control, surface treatment, high power CO2 lasers, ultraviolet excimer lamps, excimer based mercury-free fluorescent lamps, and flat large-area plasma displays. Depending on the application and the operating conditions the discharge can have pronounced filamentary structure or fairly diffuse appearance. History, discharge physics, and plasma chemistry of dielectric-barrier discharges and their applications are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Organically substituted metal alkoxides can be prepared by reaction of the parent alkoxides with complexing organic compounds. The chemical and structural consequences of such substitutions are discussed in this article. Examples are given showing how functional organic moieties, such as polymerizable groups, can be incorporated into sol-gel materials via the complexing ligands. Major structural differences between silica-based and metal-based hybrid materials originate from the different charge/coordination number ratios of silicon and most metals. This results in a high tendency for the molecular building blocks to aggregate. In many cases, metal oxide clusters are formed which are capped by the organic ligands. Such surface-modified clusters are themselves very valuable condensed matter units for materials syntheses.  相似文献

Two solid solutions of lead zirconium titanates PbZr x Ti1 – x O3 (x = 0.1 and 0.35) as well as the reference compounds lead titanate and lead zirconate were prepared from zirconium and titanium n-propoxide, dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol, by sol-gel process. The amorphous products after pyrolysis of the dried gels and the crystalline phases were studied by EXAFS spectroscopy to monitor the structural changes from the amorphous oxide mixture to the crystalline ceramics after calcination. Additionally, the crystalline phases were identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD).It follows from the analysis of the EXAFS data that the local order of the amorphous phases seems to be completely different from that of the crystalline phase. There is no indication of a preformation of the local order of the perovskite structure. The analysis of our EXAFS spectra can be interpreted very consistently with the assumption that in the amorphous samples a segregation exists on molecular level and the low crystallisation temperatures are a consequence of very short diffusion paths.  相似文献

A novel technique for in situ spatial, time-resolved element-specific investigations of corrosion processes is developed. The technique is based on an online hyphenation of a specially designed microflow-capillary set-up to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) using flow injection sample introduction. Detailed aspects of the method development, optimization of the sample microflow introduction and flow injection characteristics for the localized corrosion analysis are described. Moreover, specific challenges of the ICP-MS analysis as applied to the analysis of corrosion sample probes, e.g. high matrix load and limited sample volume, are discussed.  相似文献

Solid-state (13)C-NMR spectroscopy was used to characterize native cellulose pellicles from two strains of Gluconacetobacter xylinus (ATCC 53582, ATCC 23769), which had been statically cultivated in Hestrin-Schramm (HS) medium containing fully (13)C-labeled beta-D-glucose-U-(13)C(6) as the sole source of carbon. For both samples, the (13)C-NMR chemical shifts were completely assigned for each (13)C-labeled site of cellulose I(alpha) with the aid of 2D refocused INADEQUATE NMR. To determine the principal chemical shift tensor components, a pulse sequence based on the recoupling of anisotropy information (RAI) was applied at 10 kHz MAS. The detailed (13)C tensors of cellulose I(alpha) from different bacterial celluloses are thus available now for the first time, and these results have been compared with previously published data of nonenriched material and with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The structure/property relationship of Schrock-type alkylidene complexes with tungsten and molybdenum as central atoms was investigated. Terminal and, E and Z internal olefins as well as double bond substituted and unsubstituted unsaturated polymers served as metathesis substrates. According to the results obtained, it is possible to choose the optimal catalyst depending on the metathesis substrate and temperature, the central atom plays a decisive role. Examples concerning equilibrium polymerization demonstrate the practical utilization.  相似文献
