Flavonols, a class of flavonoids, are present in flowers, fruits and vegetables. They are jointly responsible for antioxidant activity as free radical acceptors. The redox behaviour of myricetin, quercetin, isorhamnetin, fisetin, morin and kaempferol is investigated using cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Quantum chemical calculations of proton affinities and electron transfer enthalpies were performed to identify possible reactive sites and radical species to compare them with measured oxidation potentials of the flavonols. Regarding to their chemical structure, these flavonols showed an oxidation order: myricetin > quercetin > isorhamnetin > fisetin > morin > kaempferol.  相似文献

An automated system for derivaatization was coupled on-line with solid-phase extraction-gas-chromatography (SPE-GC). The system was optimized for the determination of phenol and chlorinated phenols in aqueous samples. The test analytes were acetylated with acetic anhydride; proper buffering of the sample was a critical factor. Next, the phenol acetates were enriched on a SPE cartridge and transferred to a GC; two appraoaches were studied. In the first approach, the derivatives were enriched on disposable C18 cartridges (ASPEC type) and desorbed with methylacetate. Aan aliquot of the final eluate was injected on-line the GC by means of a loop-type interface. In the second approach, trace enrichment was performed on 10 × 2 mm i.d. LC-type precolumn packed with polystyrenedivinylbenzene copolymer (PLRP-S) this precolumn was dried with a mitrogen purge and the phenol acetates were desorbed with ethyl acetate which was injectedon-line into the retention gap of the GC under partially concurrent solvent evaporation (PCSE) conditions. The Derivatization-SPE-GC system which was based on the loop-type interface has the advantage of simplicity and easy operation, the main drawback is the impossibility to determine phenol acetates which elute prior to trichlorophenol acetates. With the derivatization-SPE-GC approach using PCSE-based desorption, even the most volatile analyte of the test series, phenol acetate, can be determined successfully. The entire procedure, including the derivatization step, was fully automated and integrated in one set-up. The precision data for the integrated on-line derivatization-SP-FID system were fully satisfactory, with RSD values of 1–12 % at the 1 μg/1 level. When a sample volume of 2.2 ml was analyzed, The detection limits for the chlorinated phenol acetates were in the 0.1–0.3 μg/1 range.  相似文献

Platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes of the potentially hexadentate P,N-donor ligand family Ar2P-X-PAr2 (X = (CH2)2 [dmape], cyclic-C5H8 [dmapcp]; Ar = o-N,N-dimethylanilinyl) are described. In CH2Cl2, the dmape complexes exist as equilibrium mixtures of MCl2(P,P'-dmape) and [MCl(P,P',N-dmape)]Cl isomers (M = Pd, Pt), governed by deltaH(o) = -19 +/- 4 kJ mol(-1) and deltaS(o) = -100 +/- 30 J mol(-1) K(-1) for M = Pt, and deltaH(o) = -11 +/- 7 kJ mol(-1) and deltaS(o) = -60 +/- 20 J mol(-1) K(-1) for M = Pd. The water-soluble dmapcp complexes exist solely in the [MCl(P,P',N-dmapcp)]Cl form, but the free and coordinated anilinyl rings in these complexes are in slow diastereoselective exchange. X-ray crystal structures for MCl2(P,P'-dmape) (M = Pd, Pt), and the [PdCl(P,P',N-dmape)]+ and [PtCl(P,P',N-dmapcp)]+ cations, are presented. Some of the complexes show marginal activity in water for the catalyzed hydration of maleic to malic acid, giving about 6-7% conversion in 24 h at 100 degrees C and substrate:catalyst loadings of 100:1. Attempts to synthesize a PdCl(P,P',N-dmapm)+ species led instead to isolation of [Pd(mu-Cl)(P,P'-dmapm)]2[PF6]2 (dmapm = Ar2PCH2Ar2).  相似文献

In order to gain insight into the preactivation of merocyanine 540 (MC540) 1 for the photodynamic therapy (Gulliya et al., 1990a, Photochem. Photobiol. 52, 831-838) its photo-oxidation was investigated. After irradiation of MC540 1 on a preparative scale three main photodegradation products were isolated with 16-20% yields. They turned out to be derivatives of benzoxazole, thiouracil and thiohydantoin with the structures 4, 5 and 6, respectively. It may be possible that they contribute to the cytostatic and antiviral activity of preactivated MC540 1.  相似文献

Fatty acids can be conveniently derivatized in less than one minute with (chloro)alkyl chloroformates such as methyl chloroformate, 2-chloroethyl chloroformate and 2,2,2-trichloroethyl chloroformate. 2,2,2-Trichloroethyl chloroformate is the most reactive reagent, and yields a reaction product which can be sensitively detected by GC ECD (detection limit 50 ng/ml, i.e. 25 pg/injection, for C8, C10, and C12 acids). In non-aqueous media 3-picoline, N-methylpiperidine, and dimethylaminopyridine show catalytic activity comparable with that of pyridine and can, therefore, replace it. N-methylpiperidine is the best basic catalyst in aqueous media (i.e. media containing up to 40 % water).  相似文献

We discuss the relaxation dynamics of glycerol-water mixtures, as studied by dielectric spectroscopy in the frequency range from 1 Hz to 250 MHz and at temperatures between 173 and 323 K. The experimental results obtained for the glycerol-rich mixtures suggest that the main dielectric relaxation process, as well as the so-called high-frequency "excess wing" (EW) and dc conductivity, follow the same temperature dependence. This result indicates that all of these processes are induced by the same molecular origin. A new phenomenological function is proposed to describe the whole dielectric spectrum in the covered frequency range, and some possible mechanisms of dielectric behaviors through the dc conductivity, the main relaxation process, and the EW are discussed.  相似文献

Densely grafted polyacrylic acids (d-PAAs) with overcrowded PAA side chains on the polyacrylate main chains were synthesized and characterized. Acryloyl poly(tert-butyl acrylate) macromonomer [M-P(tert-BA)] was prepared with a definite chain length (n=29) by atom-transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), then homopolymerization was carried out to produce densely grafted P(tert-BA)s with polyacrylate main chains of two different lengths (m=27 and 161). The two d-PAAs were obtained by hydrolyzing d-P(tert-BA)s in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). The d-PAAs exhibit intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonding between the carboxylic groups of PAA side chains in dioxane and pyridine; both were investigated using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy. The intermolecular hydrogen bonding was found to be dependent on polymer concentration, temperature, and water content. The intramolecular association between the PAA side chains was found to produce a contraction of the hydrodynamic volume of the d-PAA. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding produces aggregates, as demonstrated by dynamic light scattering (DLS). The clusters were found to shrink as the overall water concentration decreased, and this effect is tentatively explained by considering the gradient in chemical potential of water inside the clusters in comparison with the solvent phase.  相似文献

The ASPEC (Automatic Sample Preparation with Extraction Columns) system has been coupled on-line to capillary GC-ECD by means of a loop-type interface equipped with a solvent vapour exit. Both ASPEC and GC conditions have been optimized leading to an effective clean-up of the extracts analyzed. By means of solid-phase extraction cartridges filled with silica, it has been possible to analyze concentrated surface water extracts for a group of 18 electron-capturing compounds present in the water at ppt levels. ASPEC-GC has also been applied to the determination of synthetic pyrethroids at ppt levels in surface water. The complete analytical procedure is greatly facilitated by automation and miniaturization. Miniaturization results in a considerable decrease in the sample volume required. The potential of the method for the analysis of other pesticides is estimated.  相似文献

Using spatially modulated illumination (SMI) light microscopy it is possible to measure the sizes of fluorescent structures that have an extension far below the conventional optical resolution limit (“subresolution size”). Presently, the sizes are determined as the object extension along the optical axis of the SMI microscope. For this, however, “a priori” assumptions on the fluorochrome distribution (“shape”) within the examined fluorescent structure have to be made. Usually it is assumed that the fluorochrome follows a Gauss-distribution or a spherical distribution. In this report we overcome the necessity to make an assumption on the shape of the fluorochrome distribution. We introduce two new experimentally obtained parameters which allow the determination of a shape measure to describe the spatial distribution of the fluorescent dye. This becomes possible by independent measurements with different excitation wavelengths. As an example, we present shape parameter measurements on individual fluorescent microspheres with a nominal geometrical diameter (“size”) of 190 nm. In the case investigated, the experimental shape correlated well with a homogeneous fluorochrome distribution (“spherical shape”) but not with a variety of other “shapes”.  相似文献

The mono-ortho chlorobiphenyls (CBs) 60, 74, 114, 123, 157, 167 and 189 were determined in Aroclor mixtures and aquatic organisms by multidimensional gas chromatography with electron capture detection (MDGC/ECD), using a combination of an Ultra 2 and an FFAP column. MDGC/ECD is recommended as the most suitable technique for direct determination of these CBs, without a liquid chromatographic (LC) pre-separation of mono-ortho CBs from the other CBs. Dependent, to some extent, on the stationary phase used, single-column determinations of these CBs easily yield too high results due to the presence of interferences. The contribution of the mono-ortho CBs studied to the total 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) equivalents (TEQs) from CBs in fish is highly dependent on the toxic equivalency factors (TEFs) used and varies between 0.02 and 22%. This contribution is mainly due to CBs 74, 114, 157 and 167 which may easily be determined by taking three heart-cuts and combining them into one MDGC/ECD run. The analytical error is negligible compared with the huge uncertainty of the TEFs. A need for more precise TEFs is emphasized.  相似文献
