This paper examines nonlinear parabolic initial-boundary value problems with a discontinuous forcing term, which is locally of bounded variation. Assuming that there exist an upper solution and a lower solution , we prove the existence of a maximal and of a minimal solution within the order interval [,] L P (P xZ). Our approach is based on a Jordan-type decomposition for the discontinuous forcing term and on a fixed point theorem for nondecreasing maps in ordered Banach spaces.  相似文献

We have investigated a new optically active photochromic homopolymer poly[(R)-3-methacryloyloxy-1-(4′-cyano-4-azobenzene)pyrrolidine] containing in the side-chain a chiral group of one prevailing configuration linked to a trans-azoaromatic system. As expected it exhibits in solution homogeneous conformations with a prevailing chirality induced by dipole-dipole interactions between side-chain chromophores. Copolymers with the enantiomeric monomer (S)-3-methacryloyloxy-1-(4′-cyano-4-azobenzene)pyrrolidine have also been prepared in order to evaluate the effect on the photoinduced optical properties of side-chain chiral groups of opposite configuration in various ratios. The possibility of producing reversible photomodulation of linear birefringence without any significant degradation of these materials seems to be promising for their use in optical data storage.  相似文献

The elucidation of the WGSR promoted by ruthenium carbonyls in acidic media started with the detection of the Ru(0), Ru(I), and Ru(II) intermediate complexes, namely Ru(3)(CO)(12), Ru(2)[&mgr;-eta(2)-OC(CF(3))O](2)(CO)(6), and fac-[Ru(CF(3)COO)(3)(CO)(3)](-), which accumulate when CF(3)COOH is employed as an acid cocatalyst. Under catalytic conditions, the three were found to interconvert through elementary steps which produce CO(2) and H(2). In fact, Ru(0) is oxidized by H(+) to Ru(I) and half the hydrogen of the catalytic cycle is supplied by this reaction. On the other hand, Ru(I) disproportionates to Ru(0) and Ru(II), and this latter species undergoes nucleophilic attack by H(2)O. The decomposition of the metallacarboxylic acid intermediate gives back Ru(I), while H(2) and CO(2) are produced in a 1/2 molar ratio. The two alternating pathways for dihydrogen formation, namely Ru(0) oxidation by H(+) and the decomposition of a metallacarboxylic acid intermediate, involve H(2) reductive elimination from the same RuHCF(3)COO(CO)(2)L(2) intermediate (L = H(2)O, ethers). These findings define an acid-cocatalyzed WGSR whose distinctive features are (i) the intervention of a disproportionation reaction to generate a Ru(II) electron poor complex, whose CO ligands can undergo nucleophilic attack by water, (ii) the generation of the hydrido intermediate for dihydrogen production through two distinct reaction patways, and (iii) the reductive elimination of H(2) from the hydrido intermediate without involving H(+) from the medium.  相似文献

The previously known anion [(C6F5)3B(mu-OH)B(C6F5)3]- (2) has been prepared by a two-step procedure, involving deprotonation of (C6F5)3BOH2 to give [B(C6F5)3OH]- (1), followed by addition of B(C6F5)3. The solution structure and the dynamics of 2 have been investigated by 1H and 19F NMR spectroscopy. The reaction of [NHEt3]2 with NEt3 resulted in the formation of [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BOH]-, [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BH]-, and (C6F5)3B- (CH2CH=N+ Et2). This indicates that in the presence of a nucleophile anion 2 can dissociate to B(C6F5)3 and 1. The reaction of [HDMAN]2 with 1,8-bis(dimethylamino)naphthalene (DMAN) confirmed this trend. In the presence of water, 2 transformed into the adduct [(C6F5)3BO(H)H...O(H)B(C6F5)3]- (3), containing the borate 1 hydrogen-bonded to a water molecule coordinated to B(C6F5)3. The same compound is formed by treating (C6F5)3BOH2 with 0.5 equiv of a base. A competition study established that for 1 the Lewis acid-base interaction with B(C6F5)3 is about 5 times preferred over H-bonding to (C6F5)3BOH2. The X-ray single-crystal analysis of [2-methyl-3H-indolium]3 provided the first experimental observation of an asymmetric H-bond in the [H3O2]- moiety, the measured O-H and H...O bond distances being significantly different [1.14(2) vs 1.26(2) A]. The reaction of NEt3 with an equimolar mixture of B(C6F5)3 and bis(pentafluorophenyl)borinic acid, (C6F5)2BOH, afforded the novel borinatoborate salt [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BOB(C6F5)2]- ([NHEt3]4). X-ray diffraction showed that the B-O bond distances are significantly shorter than in [(C6F5)3B(mu-OH)B(C6F5)3]-. Variable-temperature 19F NMR revealed high mobility of the five aryl rings, at variance with the more crowded anion 2. 2D NMR correlation experiments showed that in CD2Cl2 the two anions [(C6F5)3BOH]- and [(C6F5)3BH]- form tight ion pairs with [NHEt3]+, in which the NH proton establishes a conventional (BO...HN) or an unconventional (BH...HN), respectively, hydrogen bond with the anion. The diborate anions 2-4, on the contrary, gave loose ion pairs with the ammonium cation, due both to the delocalized anionic charge and to the more sterically encumbered position of the oxygen atoms that should act as H-bond acceptors.  相似文献

Supramolecular dendrimers resulting from the dimerization of fullerene-functionalized dendrons through a quadruple hydrogen-bonding motif were prepared. The synthetic strategy is based on the esterification of a tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc)-protected 2-ureido-4-[1H]pyrimidinone precursor possessing an alcohol function with fullerodendrons bearing a carboxylic acid unit at the focal point. Subsequent acidic treatment to cleave the protecting group and reaction of the resulting amine with octylisocyanate affords the targeted compounds. As demonstrated by the results of MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and 1H NMR spectroscopy, both of the 2-ureido-4-[1H]pyrimidinone derivatives form self-assembled dimers spontaneously through hydrogen-bonding interactions, thus leading to supramolecular structures containing two or ten fullerene moieties.  相似文献

The N-methylquinolinium tetrafluoroborate (NMQ(+))-sensitized photolysis of the erythro-1,2-diphenyl-2-arylsulfanylethanols 1-3 (1, aryl = phenyl; 2, aryl = 4-methylphenyl; 3, aryl = 3-chlorophenyl) has been investigated in MeCN, under laser flash and steady-state photolysis. Under laser irradiation, the formation of sulfide radical cations of 1-3, in the monomeric (lambda(max) = 520-540 nm) and dimeric form (lambda(max) = 720-->800 nm), was observed within the laser pulse. The radical cations decayed by first-order kinetics, and under nitrogen, the formation of ArSCH(*)Ph (lambda(max) = 350-360 nm) was clearly observed. This indicates that the decay of the radical cation is due to a fragmentation process involving the heterolytic C-C bond cleavage, a conclusion fully confirmed by steady-state photolysis experiments (formation of benzaldehyde and the dimer of the alpha-arylsulfanyl carbon radical). Whereas the fragmentation rate decreases as the C-C bond dissociation energy (BDE) increases, no rate change was observed by the replacement of OH by OD in the sulfide radical cation (k(OH)/k(OD) = 1). This suggests a transition state structure with partial C-C bond cleavage where the main effect of the OH group is the stabilization of the transition state by hydrogen bonding with the solvent. The fragmentation rate of 2-hydroxy sulfanyl radical cations turned out to be significantly slower than that of nitrogen analogues of comparable reduction potential, probably due to a more efficient overlap between the SOMO in the heteroatom and the C-C bond sigma-orbital in the second case. The fragmentation rates of 1(+*)-3(+*) were found to increase by addition of a pyridine, and plots of k(base) against base strength were linear, allowing calculation of the beta Bronsted values, which were found to increase as the reduction potential of the radical cation decreases, beta = 0.21 (3(+*)), 0.34 (1(+*)), and 0.48 (2(+*)). The reactions of 1(+*) exhibit a deuterium kinetic isotope effect with values that increase as the base strength increases: k(OH)/k(OD) = 1.3 (pyridine), 1.9 (4-ethylpyridine), and 2.3 (4-methoxypyridine). This finding and the observation that with the above three bases the rate decreases in the order 3(+*) > 1(+*) > 2(+*), i.e., as the C-C BDE increases, suggest that C-C and O-H bond cleavages are concerted but not synchronous, with the role of OH bond breaking increasing as the base becomes stronger (variable transition state). It is probable that, with the much stronger base, 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine, a change to a stepwise mechanism may occur where the slow step is the formation of a radical zwitterion that then rapidly fragmentates to products.  相似文献

During a random screening of representative libraries of nucleoside analogues we discovered that the adenine derivatives FEVB28 and FEG118 were Flaviviridae inhibitors endowed with potency comparable, if not superior, to that of ribavirin. Those studies prompted us to design a new class of protected nucleoside analogs, reported herein, which displays interesting anti-bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) activity and low cytotoxicity in cell-based assays (4, 23, 29 EC(50): 14, 11, 26 microM respectively, CC(50)>100 microM) and appreciable activity in enzyme assays against the RNA dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of BVDV (4, 23, 29, RdRp inhibition activity 27, 16, 15 microM respectively). A molecular modeling study was also carried out to highlight the possible interactions between this compounds class and the corresponding hepatitis C virus (HCV) enzyme.  相似文献

Aminopeptidase from Aeromonas proteolytica (AAP) is a binuclear zinc enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of the N-terminal amino acid residue of peptides and proteins. In this study, we used density functional methods to investigate the reaction mechanism of this enzyme. A model of the active site was constructed on the basis of the X-ray crystal structure of the native enzyme, and a model dipeptide was used as a substrate. It was concluded that the hydroxide is capable of performing a nucleophilic attack at the peptide carbonyl from its bridging position without the need to first become terminal. The two zinc ions are shown to have quite different roles. Zn2 binds the amino group of the substrate, thereby orienting it toward the nucleophile, while Zn1 stabilizes the alkoxide ion of the tetrahedral intermediate, thereby lowering the barrier for the nucleophilic attack. The rate-limiting step is suggested to be the protonation of the nitrogen of the former peptide bond, which eventually leads to the cleavage of the C-N bond.  相似文献

Basic proline-rich proteins (bPRPs) are a class of proteins widely present in saliva of humans and other mammals. They are synthesized as preproproteins and enzymatically cleaved into small peptides before secretion from the salivary glands. Recently, we characterized two proline-rich peptides (SP-A and SP-B) in parotid secretory granules of pig (Sus Scrofa) that are derived from three isoforms of a PRP proprotein (Swiss-Prot data bank: Q95JC9-1, Q95JC9-2 and Q95JC9-3). Together the coding regions for SP-A and SP-B, which are repeated many times, account for 52-70% of the coding regions of the PRP proproteins. This study was undertaken to identify peptides encoded by unassigned regions of the PRP proproteins. RP-HPLC-ESI-IT-MS analysis of enriched granule preparations from pig parotid glands by two different analytical strategies identified ten new proline-rich peptides derived from the three proproteins. Together with the coding regions for SP-A and SP-B already identified it was possible to assign 68-75% of the proproteins coding regions. The peptide sequences indicated a number of unusual proteolytic cleavage sites suggesting the presence of unknown proprotein convertases.  相似文献
