Ce(x)Zr(1)(-)(x)O(2) solid solutions deposited over silica surface were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy (RS), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HREM) techniques in order to understand the role of silica support and the temperature stability of these composite oxides. For the purpose of comparison, an unsupported Ce(x)Zr(1)(-)(x)O(2) was also synthesized and subjected to characterization by various techniques. The Ce(x)Zr(1)(-)(x)O(2)/SiO(2) (CZ/S) (1:1:2 mole ratio based on oxides) was synthesized by depositing Ce(x)Zr(1)(-)(x)O(2) solid solution over a colloidal SiO(2) support by a deposition precipitation method and unsupported Ce(x)Zr(1)(-)(x)O(2) (CZ) (1:1 mole ratio based on oxides) was prepared by a coprecipitation procedure, and the obtained catalysts were subjected to thermal treatments from 773 to 1073 K. The XRD measurements disclose the presence of cubic phases with the composition Ce(0.75)Zr(0.25)O(2) and Ce(0.6)Zr(0.4)O(2) in CZ samples, while CZ/S samples possess Ce(0.75)Zr(0.25)O(2), Ce(0.6)Zr(0.4)O(2), and Ce(0.5)Zr(0.5)O(2) in different proportions. The crystallinity of these phases increased with increasing calcination temperature. The cell a parameter estimations indicate contraction of ceria lattice due to the incorporation of zirconium cations into the CeO(2) unit cell. Raman measurements indicate the presence of oxygen vacancies, lattice defects, and displacement of oxygen ions from their normal lattice positions in both the series of samples. The HREM results reveal, in the case of CZ/S samples, a well-dispersed nanosized Ce-Zr-oxides over the surface of amorphous SiO(2). The structural features of these crystals as determined by digital diffraction analysis of experimental images reveal that the Ce-Zr-oxides are mainly in the cubic geometry and exhibit high thermal stability. Oxygen storage capacity measurements by a thermogravimetric method reveal a substantial enhancement in the oxygen vacancy concentration of CZ/S sample over the unsupported CZ sample.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to synthesize several new pregnane derivatives and evaluate them as antiandrogens. From the commercially available 16-dehydropregnenolone acetate (7), two new steroidal compounds were synthesized: 17alpha-hydroxy-17beta-methyl-16beta-phenyl-D-homoandrosta-1,4,6-triene-3,20-dione (18) and 17alpha-acetoxy-17beta-methyl-16beta-phenyl-D-homoandrosta-1,4,6-triene-3,20-dione (19). The 5alpha-reductase inhibitory effect of the new compounds 18 and 19 together with the previously synthesized intermediates 7, 8, 13, 16, and 17 was determined in three different models: gonadectomized hamster flank organs diameter size, incorporation of [1,2-(14)C]sodium acetate into lipids in flank organs and conversion of [3H]testosterone (T) to [3H]dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by Penicillium crustosum. The evaluation of these steroids was carried out with three different controls: one group was treated with vehicle, the second with T and the third group with T plus finasteride. The pharmacological results from this work demonstrated that T significantly increases the diameter of the pigmented spot on the flank organs (p<0.05) as well as the incorporation of labeled sodium acetate into lipids in gonadectomized hamster flank organs (from 0.125 to 0.255 nmol per gland). In this study we also observed that broth of Penicillium crustosum converted [3H]T to [3H]DHT in a manner comparable to that of the flank organs. All experiments indicated that finasteride as well as steroids 7, 8, 13, 16-19 reduced significantly the conversion of T to DHT in P. crustosum. These compounds also decrease the size of the pigmented spot in the flank organs as well as reducing the incorporation of radiolabeled sodium acetate into lipids; T and the control sample (treated with vehicle only) were used for comparison. Apparently the presence of the 4,6-diene-3,20-dione moiety and also the C-17 ester group produce a higher inhibitory effect on the parameters used. PPThe data from this study indicated also that the three models used for the pharmacological evaluation exhibited comparable results.  相似文献

Co2+ ion exchange, at room temperature, from aqueous cobalt — sodium chloride solutions with NaY zeolite has been studied. The effect of contact time on the shape of the sorption curves of Co2+ using zeolite Y dehydrated at 600°C is similar to the one found in our previous work with a zeolite dehydrated at 150 °C. A fast sorption uptake is observed in which 1.8 meq of Na+ ions/g of zeolite are replaced by cobalt ions followed by a desorption process where the uptake decreases to 1.2 meq/g zeolite. The Co2+ sorption using zeolite Y dehydrated at 600 °C is increased when ethylenediamine solution is passed through the zeolite. The Co2+ sorption uptake, initially 2.0 meq/g, incrases to 2.8 meq/g of zeolite. This behavior is explained by the location and coordination of cobalt in zeolite Y sites. It is suggested that the highest uptake process is due to the blocking of zeolite sites by a Co complex compound.  相似文献

The molybdenum bimetallic interstitial carbides Fe(3)Mo(3)C and Co(3)Mo(3)C have been synthesized by temperature-programmed reaction (TPR) between the molybdenum bimetallic interstitial nitrides Fe(3)Mo(3)N and Co(3)Mo(3)N and a flowing mixture of CH(4) and H(2) diluted in Ar. These compounds have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, laser Raman spectroscopy, elemental analysis, energy dispersive analysis of X rays, thermal analysis (in air) and scanning electron microscopy (field emission). Their structures have been refined from X-ray powder diffraction data. These carbides crystallize in the cubic system, space group Fd3m[a= 11.11376(6) and 11.0697(3)[Angstrom] for Fe and Co compounds, respectively].  相似文献

Spectrofluorimetric characteristics of pindolol have been investigated with the aim of using this technique for analytical determinations. Other monosubstituted indole derivatives, 4-methoxy and 5-methoxyindole, have been also studied for comparative purposes. Corrected excitation and emission wavelengths in different solvents are reported and the effect of solvent on the Stokes shifts of these compounds has been analysed using the Lippert equation. In addition, the Stokes shift of pindolol has been determined in dioxan-water solvent mixtures and the presence of specific solvent effects is discussed. The fluorescence of pindolol is pH dependent, the quantum yields determined in water are lower than those in other solvents. With respect to the sensitivity, it has been found that the detection limits in aqueous solutions are improved in the presence of beta and methyl-beta-cyclodextrin. Finally, a fluorimetric analysis of the interaction between pindolol and different cyclodextrins has been carried out in order to determine the apparent stability constants of the complexes and the thermodynamic parameters associated to complexation.  相似文献

We describe the synthesis and photophysical properties of a series of neutral and cationic 3,4-tetrapyridinoporphyrazines, potential lead photosensitizers for photodynamic inactivation of bacteria. Tetracationic TPyPzs exist essentially as monomers in aqueous systems, but the presence of trialkylated compounds due to incomplete quaternization of the outer nitrogen atoms induces severe aggregation. The absorption, fluorescence, triplet, and singlet oxygen quantum yields for both the neutral and cationic compounds are comparable to those of the related phthalocyanines.  相似文献

Preparation of Langmuir monolayers of a mixture of trans- and cis-isomers of an azobenzene derivative, 4-[4-[(4-octylphenyl)azo]phenoxy]butanoic acid, results in the segregation of birefringent trans-isomer domains embedded in an isotropic medium of cis-isomers. Brewster angle microscopy observations allow us to identify different textures inside the domains depending on surface pressure, temperature, and domain size. The evolution of the monolayer in the dark, from initial droplets formed after spreading to a stable stripe texture, is described. The dynamics of domain coalescence and some morphological transitions induced by temperature and surface pressure changes are also discussed. A simple theoretical model is included to supplement some of these experimental observations.  相似文献

When excesses of ammonium thiocyanate and tetrabutylammonium chloride are added to a cobalt(II) solution, a water-insoluble ion-pair is formed; this compound is soluble in chloroform, isoamyl alcohol, and other solvents. The variables which affect the extractions by these two solvents are studied in order to obtain the optimal conditions and two alternative extraction procedures are proposed. Thus, the separation of cobalt as a previous step for its spectrophotometric determination is studied.  相似文献

The development of express method for detection of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) such as alkylphenols is required for ecological monitoring. Several attempts have been made to produce antibodies against 4-nonylphenol (NP) in recent years. This work describes the production of new antibodies against NP and also summarizes the characterization of antibodies obtained earlier. Three approaches used to produce alkylphenol-specific antibodies are compared; these are based on: 1. omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)nonanoic or omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)heptanoic acid NP derivatives designed to mimic the linear NP isomer; 2. 4-aminophenol, which potentially mimics various substituted phenolic compounds with different side-chain structures at position 4 of the benzene ring; and 3. a mixture of branched NP isomers, conjugated to the carrier protein via a benzene ring by the Mannich reaction, and expected to be the closest mimic of NP structure by preserving its natural alkyl moiety.Fluorescence polarization immunoassays based on different combinations of antibody and labeled antigen for screening detection of NP were developed and structural aspects of assay sensitivity and specificity were investigated. The assays based on the antisera raised against omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)nonanoic acid and NP conjugate via Mannich reaction are capable of express detection of NP with detection limit of 7 microg mL(-1 )and assay dynamic range of 18-300 microg mL(-1).  相似文献
