The magnetic susceptibility of UO2ThO2 solid solutions has been measured from room temperature to 2.0 K. The magnetic moment and the Weiss constant have been determined in the temperature range in which the Curie-Weiss law holds. For the solid solutions showing antiferromagnetic transition, the Néel temperature has been also determined. These values decrease monotonically with increasing ThO2 concentration. The results were analyzed using the molecular field theory which includes the interaction between next-nearest neighbor spins. The interactions between nearest neighbor spins, J1, and those between next-nearest neighbor spins, J2, both decrease with increasing ThO2 concentration. The change of J1 with composition is larger than that of J2. The effect of magnetic dilution with ThO2 is considered to be stronger on the interaction between nearest neighbor uranium ions. 相似文献

Liquid crystalline/polymer composite membrane-coated electrodes were prepared by casting a 1,2-dichloroethane solution of N-(4-ethoxybenzylidene)-4′-n-butylaniline (EBBA) and polycarbonate (PC) on an electrode surface. The temperature-dependence of the permeability of the EBBA/PC composite membrane on electrodes to Fe(CN)3?6 ion as a solution-phase redox ion was investigated by means of hydrodynamic voltammetry at a rotating disk electrode. The permeability changed with temperature over the range of the crystalline-nematic-phase transition temperature of EBBA. It is demonstrated that the observed temperature-dependence of the permeability reflects the thermotropic properties of EBBA in the EBBA/PC composite membrane. Furthermore, the dependence of the limiting current of the steady-state current-potential curves for the reduction of Fe(CN)—6 at the EBBA/PC composite membrane-coated electrode upon the membrane thickness, the blend ratio of EBBA and PC and the concentration of Fe(CN)3?6 in a bulk solution was examined in order to understand the transport process of Fe(CN)?36 through the EBBA/PC composite membrane from the membrane/solution interface to the electrode/membrane interface. Contrary to the precedents, 1,3-anti stereoselection was found in the intramolecular Michael addition of ethyl ,5-carbamoyloxy-4-trialkylsilyloxy-2-hexenoate to culminate in a synthesis of N-benzoyl-,-daunosomine. The antiperiplanar effect due to the group at 4-position was revealed to play a major role in the stereoselection in this type of reactions. Using a plasma-induced graft polymerization technique, which is well known as a surface modification method, the grafted polymer was formed in pores of the porous material. This study examined the filling mechanism. Five thin porous films were sandwiched together, and employed as the substrate. The substrate was treated by plasma, and the change in surface tension and radical formation was measured for each sheet after the sheet was separated. The only surface on which surface-tension change was detected, was that of the sheet directly exposed to the plasma. Although plasma treatment made polymer radicals primarily on the outer surface of the sheet, the treatment also formed a few radicals inside the sheets. The radicals inside the sheets reacted with methylacrylate and grafted polymer formed in the pores. The location of grafted polymer depended on the balance between monomer diffusivity and reactivity. The grafting rate depended on which monomer solvent was used for the polymerization. Analysis of the interaction between human plasma fibronectin and gelatin by affinity electrophoresis
The interaction between human plasma fibronectin and gelatin was analyzed by affinity electrophoresis, in which the fibronectin was subjected to electrophoresis in a 4% polyacrylamide gel in the presence and absence of gelatin, as an affinity ligand, and the fibronectin band was stained by an immunoblotting method. The apparent dissociation constants (Kd) of fibronectin for gelatin were calculated from affinity plots based on the original affinity equation at different pHs, urea concentrations, and temperatures. The fibronectin exhibited much lower affinity in the presence of urea. The Kds at 37 degrees C were 1.49 X 10(-7) M, 2.50 X 10(-6) M, and 3.58 X 10(-6) M with 2 M, 3 M, and 4 M urea, respectively. The van't Hoff plots of Kd values against absolute temperature (T) showed that the value of log Kd decreased in proportion to the increase in the value of 1/T within the range of 15-50 degrees C. The standard enthalpy, the standard free energy change at 37 degrees C, and the entropy change at 37 degrees C for association were calculated to be -124.7 kJ/mol, -33.23 kJ/mol, and -295.1 J/mol/deg, respectively. These results suggest that a hydrophilic interaction, such as hydrogen bond or van der Waals interaction, plays an important role in the binding of plasma fibronectin to gelatin. 相似文献

Pseudo-stationary phases for electrokinetic chromatography were prepared by the alkylation of starburst dendrimers (SBDs). The SBD-supported pseudo-stationary phase with dodecyl groups showed higher efficiency than short-akyl derivatives, and maintained the hydrophobic property inthe presence of methanol. The dodecyl-modified SBD provided wide migration time windows ar high methanol content to effect the separation of sixteen aromatic hydrocarbons, the priority pollutants designated by EPA, in 65% methanol. The selectivity of polymer-supported pseudo-stationary phase can be varied simply by changing the length of the alkyl groups. The dodecyl SBD showed relatively similar selectivity as sodium dodecyl culfate micelle, whereas short alkyl derivatives showed preference towards rigid and planar compounds based on the rigid and planar compounds based on the rigid polymer backbones. The selectivity of SBD-supported pseudo-stationary phases was dominated by the chain length of the alkyl groups, with the minor effect of the structure of the core and the generation of SBD where alkyl groups were attached. 相似文献

A method for rotaxane synthesis by enlargement of the size of the terminal phenol group of the axle component by aromatic bromination has been developed. This method may be regarded as an end-capping strategy involving the swelling of the phenol group at the axle terminal. The advantages of the present strategy include: ready availability of axle components with a variety of swelling precursors, wide product scope (19 examples given including a [3]rotaxane), mild conditions for the swelling process, rich potential for the derivatization of the brominated rotaxanes, and possible release of the axle component by degradative dethreading of the thermally stable brominated rotaxanes under the basic conditions. 相似文献

We formulate the fixed-charge multiple knapsack problem (FCMKP) as an extension of the multiple knapsack problem (MKP). The Lagrangian relaxation problem is easily solved, and together with a greedy heuristic we obtain a pair of upper and lower bounds quickly. We make use of these bounds in the pegging test to reduce the problem size. We also present a branch-and-bound (B&B) algorithm to solve FCMKP to optimality. This algorithm exploits the Lagrangian upper bound as well as the pegging result for pruning, and at each terminal subproblem solve MKP exactly by invoking MULKNAP code developed by Pisinger [Pisinger, D., 1999. An exact algorithm for large multiple knapsack problems. European Journal of Operational Research 114, 528–541].
