The effects of hydrodynamic interactions on the friction tensors for two particles in solution are studied. The particles have linear dimensions on nanometer scales and are either simple spherical particles interacting with the solvent through repulsive Lennard-Jones forces or are composite cluster particles whose atomic components interact with the solvent through repulsive Lennard-Jones forces. The solvent dynamics is modeled at a mesoscopic level through multiparticle collisions that conserve mass, momentum, and energy. The dependence of the two-particle relative friction tensors on the interparticle separation indicates the importance of hydrodynamic interactions for these nanoparticles.  相似文献

A reformulated set of equations for the closed-shell singles and doubles coupled-cluster (CCSD) method is presented. A computational cost of nv4n02+7nv3n03+1nv2n04 for the n6 steps is obtained, where nv is the number of virtual molecular orbitals included in the CCSD procedure, n0 is the number of doubly occupied molecular orbitals and n=n0+nv. Test calculations for the cis and trans isomers of FNNF and planar and pyramidal CH3 are presented. Equilibrium structures determined with large Gaussian basis sets at the second-order Møller-Plesset (MP2) perturbation level of theory are reported and used for the other electron correlation methods. With the largest one-particle basis set (144 contracted Gaussian functions), the equilibrium geometries of cis- and trans-FNNF agree with experiment. Based on analyses of planar and pyramidal CH3 wavefunctions and the calculated inversion barrier, it is suggested that the molecular anion may not exist in a planar configuration but that autodetachment of an electron occurs before the transition state is reached. Comparisons of our new CCSD procedure demonstrate that coupled-cluster methods are not significantly more expensive than similar electron correlation techniques.  相似文献

Temperature dependence of the surface tension of liquid Sn–Ag and Sn–Cu base lead-free solder alloys and oxygen partial pressure dependence of liquid Sn–Ag alloy were evaluated using the experimental data obtained, respectively, by the constrained drop method and the sessile drop method in the previous studies [1, 2]. The temperature dependences of the surface tension have maximum positive values when the mol fraction of Ag and Cu is about 0.7, while those for pure liquid Sn, Ag, and Cu have negative values. The calculated values based on Butler’s equations were found to be in reasonable agreement with those of the experimental data. The oxygen partial pressure dependences of the surface tension of liquid Sn–Ag alloys at 1253 K have a minimum value when the mol fraction of Ag is about 0.9 and the oxygen partial pressure is less than about 10−13 atm. From this, it is considered that the oxygen adsorption increased by adding Ag to Sn when the mol fraction of Ag is less than 0.9.  相似文献

The experimental data have been compared with the result of extensive compound nucleus calculations based on the statistical theory. The shapes and the absolute cross sections for the high energy parts of the proton- and -spectra are reproduced with a level density parametera 0·11 A MeV–1 and a moment of inertiaJ1·3J rig. The same parameters fairly well reproduce the angular distributions corresponding to the high energy parts of the spectra whereas deviations between theory and experiment are observed for the lower energies where particles emitted by higher order processes contribute. The observed total cross section for emission of an -particle is 500 mb or 1·7 times calculated value. For protons the corresponding numbers are 2313 mb and 3·0. The increase in cross section is ascribed to the process in which several particles are evaporated. Aliphatic alcohols and aldehydes were reacted with the Si(111)-H surface to form Si-O-C interfacial bonds from dilute solution by using ultraviolet light. The resulting monolayers were characterized by using transmission infrared spectroscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry, and contact angle measurements. The effect of different solvents on monolayer quality is presented. The best monolayers were formed from CH(2)Cl(2). The optimized monolayers were thoroughly characterized to determine the film structure and monolayer stability. The UV-promoted, alcohol-functionalized, and aldehyde-functionalized monolayers are of comparable quality to those previously prepared by other means. Although both molecules are tethered through a Si-O-C bond, the film reactivity is distinctly different with the aldehyde films being more chemically resistant. The differences in chemical reactivity, vibrational spectra, hydrophobicity, and ellipsometric thickness between the alcohol and aldehyde monolayers are attributed to a difference in molecular coverage and monolayer formation.  相似文献

The cyclization of 2-acetonylthionaphthalene, prepared from 2-mercaptonaphthalene (1) and chloro-acetone in the presence of sodium hydroxide, with polyphosphoric acid gave 1-methylnaphtho[2,1-b]thiophene (4) in 64% overall yield from 1. By bromination with N-bromosuccinimide, 4 was converted in 40% yield into l-bromomethylnaphtho[2,1-b]thiophene (8) . Treatment of 8 with potassium cyanide in a phase-transfer medium gave l-cyanomethylnaphtho[2,1-b]thiophene (10) in good yield. Compound 10 was reduced to the corresponding aldehyde 11 and then cyclized with polyphosphoric acid to phenaleno[l,9-bc]thiophene (12) in 24% overall yield from 10.  相似文献

1-Phenylcyclopropene (1) was synthesized by treatment of 1,1,2-tribromo-2-phenylcyclopropane (2) with 2.5 equiv of methyllithium followed by protonation. Compound 1 underwent ene dimerization to form ene dimer 5 followed by ene reaction with monomer 1 (enophile) to give an ene trimer 6. Both of these two ene reactions derived endo transition states. In the meantime, the [2+2] adduct, trans-1,2-diphenylbicyclo[3.1.0.0(2,4)]hexane (7), was also formed. When the adduct 7 was heated at THF refluxing temperature, 1,2-diphenylcyclohexa-1,4-diene (8) was obtained. Compound 8 was treated with DDQ to yield o-diphenylbenzene.  相似文献

A sensitive technique for the determination of trace Cu(II) in various samples after column preconcentration by adsorbing onto pulverized Amberlite XAD-4 loaded with N-benzoylphenylhydroxylamine (BPHA) was developed. Several experimental conditions, such as the size of XAD-4, adsorption flow rate, pH of sample solution, and so forth, were optimized. The interfering effects of diverse concomitant ions were investigated. Al(III), Fe(III), Ni(II), and Co(II) interfered, but the interference by these ions was completely eliminated by adjusting the amount of XAD-4-BPHA resin to 0.30 g. The dynamic range, the correlation coefficient (R2), and the detection limit obtained by the proposed technique were 1.0–60, 0.9953, and 0.83 ng/mL, respectively. For validating the technique, the aqueous samples (stream water, reservoir water, and wastewater), the diluted brass sample, and the plastic sample were used as real samples. Recovery yields of 94–102% were obtained. These measured data were not different from ICP-MS data at the 95% confidence level. This method was also validated by rice flour CRM (normal, fortified) samples. Based on the results of the experiment, it has been found that the proposed technique can be applied to the determination of Cu(II) in various real samples. X-ray reflectivity, cyclic voltammetry, and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) are used to examine the structure of alpha-SiW12O4(4-) or silicotungstic acid (STA) adsorbed on Ag(100) in acid solution. The voltammetry shows that STA passivates the Ag surface relative to electron transfer to a solution redox species. STM images reveal the formation of a series of lattice structures, one of which can be associated with a commensurate ( radical13x radical13)R33.69 degrees structural model. X-ray reflectivity measurements show uniquely that STA orients with its four-fold axis perpendicular to the Ag(100) surface and that the center of the STA molecule is 4.90 A above the top layer of the Ag substrate. Analysis of bond lengths leads to a footprint of STA on Ag(100), in which the four terminal O atoms are located near the hollow sites and have a Ag-O bond length of 2.06 A. This bond length is consistent with a strong covalent interaction between STA and the Ag surface.  相似文献

CO2 molecule chemisorbs selectively on the zigzag tube edge without an activation barrier, whereas it physisorbs on the armchair edge of nanotubes. In addition, carbon nanotubes can be etched by an adsorbed oxygen atom of CO2 molecule. From our results, we suggest a selective etching mechanism for tuning the chirality of the mass-produced carbon nanotubes.  相似文献
