Abstract

Reactions of O-tolyldithiocarbonate ligands, (o-, m-, and p-CH3C6H4O)CS2Na, with anhydrous FeCl2 (1:2 molar ratio) and with FeCl3 (1:1 and 1:3 molar ratio) yielded the complexes [{(CreO)CS2}2Fe] and [{(CreO)CS2}nFeCl3–n] (Cre = o-, m-, and p-CH3C6H4; n = 1 and 3), respectively. These complexes were reacted with nitrogen and phosphorus donor ligands in dichloromethane, which afforded the adducts corresponded to [{(CreO)CS2}2Fe.xL] and [(CreO)CS2FeCl2.xL] {x = 1, L = N2C12H8; x = 2, L = NC5H5, P(C6H5)3}. Elemental analyses and IR, UV-visible, and mass spectroscopic and magnetic studies indicated bidentate mode of bonding by dithiocarbonate ligands leading to sixcoordination around the iron atom as a consequence of Fe…Fe interaction in the complexes [{(CreO)CS2}2Fe] and [(CreO)CS2FeCl2]. The complexes exhibited antifungal activity. The fungicidal activity of the complexes has been tested by poisoned food technique using fungi Fusarium sp.

Sharp dynamic thermal gradient (∇T ≈ 45 °C mm−1) field‐driven assembly of cylinder‐forming block copolymer (c‐BCP) films filled with PS‐coated gold nanoparticles (AuNPs; dNP ≈ 3.6 nm, φNP ≈ 0–0.1) is studied. The influence of increasing AuNP loading fraction on dispersion and assembly of AuNPs within c‐BCP (PS‐PMMA) films is investigated via both static and dynamic thermal gradient fields. With φNP increasing, a sharp transition from vertical to random in‐plane horizontal cylinder orientation is observed due to enrichment of AuNPs at the substrate side and favorable interaction of PMMA chains with gold cores. Furthermore, a detachable capping elastomer layer can self‐align these random oriented PMMA microdomains into unidirectional hybrid AuNP/c‐BCP nanolines, quantified with an alignment order parameter, S.

An efficient synthesis of spiroannulated dihydroisobenzofurans is achieved using easily accessible carbohydrate-derived furanyl propargyl ethers via an AuCl3 promoted intramolecular Diels-Alder (IMDA) reaction. The scope of the spiroannulation protocol was demonstrated using a diverse range of pentofuranosyl, hexofuransoyl and hexopyranosyl derived substrates in order to synthesize spiroannulated dihydroisobenzofurans. The reaction is high yielding, moisture tolerant, fast and uses only a catalytic amount of AuCl3.  相似文献

Two new phenol based macroacyclic Schiff base ligands, 2,6-bis({N-[2-(phenylselenato)ethyl]}benzimidoyl)-4-methylphenol (bpebmpH, 1) and 2,6-bis({N-[3-(phenylselenato)propyl]}benzimidoyl)-4-methylphenol (bppbmpH, 2) of the Se2N2O type have been prepared by the condensation of 4-methyl-2,6-dibenzoylphenol (mdbpH) with the appropriate (for specific reactions) phenylselenato(alkyl)amine. These ligands with Cu(II) acetate monohydrate in a 2:1 molar ratio in methanol form complexes of the composition [(C6H2(O)(CH3){(C6H5)CN(CH2)nSe(C6H5)}{(C6H5)CO}2Cu] (3 (n = 2), 4 (n = 3)) with the loss of phenylselenato(alkyl)amine and acetic acid. In both these complexes, one arm of the ligand molecule undergoes hydrolysis, and links with Cu(II) in a bidentate (NO) fashion, as confirmed by single crystal X-ray crystallography of complex 3. The selenium atoms do not form part of the copper(II) distorted square planar coordination sphere which has a trans-CuN2O2 core. The average Cu–N and Cu–O distances are, respectively, 1.973(3) and 1.898(2) Å. The N–Cu–N and O–Cu–O angles are, respectively, 167.4(11)° and 164.5(12)°. The compounds 1–4 have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, mass spectrometry, IR, electronic, 1H and 77Se{1H} NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The interaction of complex 3 with calf thymus DNA has been investigated by a spectrophotometric method and cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Atomic force microscopy, reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray reflectivity studies reveal that poly(L-lactic acid) molecules in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films exist as 10(3) helices over nearly the entire length of the polymer chain. This feature gives rise to LB films with highly ordered nanoscale smectic liquid crystalline-like surface patterns with low surface roughness and lamellar spacings that scale with molar mass. These studies provide a new approach for controlling surface morphology with a biodegradable polymer commonly used for drug delivery and tissue engineering.  相似文献

A new probe, 3-[(3-benzyloxypyridin-2-ylimino)methyl]-2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzaldehyde (1-H) behaves as a highly selective fluorescent pH sensor in a Britton-Robinson buffer at 25 °C. The pH titrations show a 250-fold increase in fluorescence intensity within the pH range of 4.2 to 8.3 with a pK(a) value of 6.63 which is valuable for studying many of the biological organelles.  相似文献

The paper deals with the phenomenon of reflection of plane elastic waves in a free surface when the medium is initially stressed. It has been shown analytically that the reflected P and SV waves depend on initial stresses present in the medium. The numerical values of reflection coefficients for different initial stresses and the angle of incidence have been calculated by the Computer I.C.L. 1901-A and the results are given in the form of graphs. Many interesting results are found in the paper which are not seen in an initially stress-free medium.  相似文献
