The molecular electrostatic potential minimum (Vmin) observed for the arene pi system of a substituted benzene derivatives is found to correlate linearly with the substituent constant sigma(p) degrees . The use of Vmin as a measure of substituent effect is further confirmed by obtaining a linear correlation between Vmin and a thermodynamic measure of the substituent effect obtained from an isodesmic reaction scheme involving benzene derivatives. Vmin and the recently proposed electrostatic potential value at the nucleus of the para carbon atom (Vc) show a nearly identical trend toward quantification of substituent effects. Both quantities have been compared at three different density functional theory methods, viz. B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,2p), BPW91/6-311G(d,p), and B3LYP/aug-cc-pvtz, as well as the at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory, showing remarkable consistency among them.  相似文献

A selective synthesis of α-anomers of indoline nucleosides is described. Ribonucleosides of indoline, dimethylindoline and 5-bromoindoline are readily prepared in good yield by reacting indoline bases directly with the protected sugar, 2,3-O-(1-methylethylidene) 5-O-(triphenylmethyl)-D-ribofuranose in dry ethanol or methylene chloride in presence of molecular sieves at 40-60 °C.  相似文献

New bis‐ and tris(iminopyrrole)‐functionalized linear (1,2‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 2 ), 1,3‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 3 ), 1,4‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 4 ), 4,4′‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐(C6H4‐C6H4) ( 5 ), 1,5‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 6 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 7 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C14H8 ( 8 )) and star‐shaped (1,3,5‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N‐1,4‐C6H4)3‐C6H3 ( 9 )) π‐conjugated molecules were synthesized by the condensation reactions of 2‐formylpyrrole ( 1 ) with several aromatic di‐ and triamines. The corresponding linear diboron chelate complexes (Ph2B[1,3‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 10 ), Ph2B[1,4‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 11 ), Ph2B[4,4′‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐biphenyl]BPh2 ( 12 ), Ph2B[1,5‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 13 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 14 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐anthracenyl]BPh2 ( 15 )) and the star‐shaped triboron complex ([4′,4′′,4′′′‐tris(iminopyrrolyl)‐1,3,5‐triphenylbenzene](BPh2)3 ( 16 )) were obtained in moderate to good yields, by the treatment of 3 – 9 with B(C6H5)3. The ligand precursors are non‐emissive, whereas most of their boron complexes are highly fluorescent; their emission color depends on the π‐conjugation length. The photophysical properties of the luminescent polyboron compounds were measured, showing good solution fluorescence quantum yields ranging from 0.15 to 0.69. DFT and time‐dependent DFT calculations confirmed that molecules 10 and 16 are blue emitters, because only one of the iminopyrrolyl groups becomes planar in the singlet excited state, whereas the second (and third) keeps the same geometry. Compound 13 , in which planarity is not achieved in any of the groups, is poorly emissive. In the other examples ( 11 , 12 , 14 , and 15 ), the LUMO is stabilized, narrowing the gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO), and the two iminopyrrolyl groups become planar, extending the size of the π‐system, to afford green to yellow emissions. Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) were fabricated by using the new polyboron complexes and their luminance was found to be in the order of 2400 cd m?2, for single layer devices, increasing to 4400 cd m?2 when a hole‐transporting layer is used.  相似文献

Template-free cross-linking of single-stranded DNA bearing octadiynyl side chains at the 7-position of 8-aza-7-deazapurine moieties with bisfunctional azides is reported employing a Cu(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne "bis-click" reaction. Bis-adducts were formed when the bis-azide:oligonucleotide ratio was 1:1; monofunctionalization occurred when the ratio was 15:1. Four-stranded DNA consisting of two cross-linked duplexes was obtained after hydridization. Cross-linked duplexes are as stable as individual duplexes when ligation was introduced at terminal positions; ligation at a central position led to a slight duplex destabilization.  相似文献

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death among the American male population, and the cost of treating prostate cancer patients is about $10 billion/year in the United States. Current treatments are mostly ineffective against advanced-stage prostate cancer and are often associated with severe side effects. Driven by these factors, we report a multifunctional, nanotechnology-driven, gold nano-popcorn-based surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) assay for targeted sensing, nanotherapy treatment, and in situ monitoring of photothermal nanotherapy response during the therapy process. Our experimental data show that, in the presence of LNCaP human prostate cancer cells, multifunctional popcorn-shaped gold nanoparticles form several hot spots and provide a significant enhancement of the Raman signal intensity by several orders of magnitude (2.5 × 10(9)). As a result, it can recognize human prostate cancer cells at the 50-cells level. Our results indicate that the localized heating that occurs during near-infrared irradiation can cause irreparable cellular damage to the prostate cancer cells. Our in situ time-dependent results demonstrate for the first time that, by monitoring SERS intensity changes, one can monitor photothermal nanotherapy response during the therapy process. Possible mechanisms and operating principles of our SERS assay are discussed. Ultimately, this nanotechnology-driven assay could have enormous potential applications in rapid, on-site targeted sensing, nanotherapy treatment, and monitoring of the nanotherapy process, which are critical to providing effective treatment of cancer.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized with 22 and 24 membered tetramide macrocyclic ligands viz; 1,9,12,20-tetraaza-2,8,13,19-tetraone-5,16-dithiacyclodocosane [L1] and 1,9,13,21-tetraaza-2,8,14,20-tetraone-5,17-dithiacyclotetracosane [L2] and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic EPR spectral studies and electrochemical properties. The molar conductance of all the complexes in DMSO solution is corresponding to 1:2 electrolyte. Thus these complexes may be formulated as [M(L′)]Cl2 [where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) L′ = L1 and L2]. On the basis of spectral studies a distorted octahedral geometry has been assigned for all the complexes. The ligands and their complexes were also screened in vitro against two pathogenic fungi (F. moniliformae and R. solani) to assess their growth inhibiting potential.  相似文献

An amperometric immunosensor for the specific detection of Ricinus communis is reported. Screen printed electrodes (SPEs) were modified with gold nanoparticles (GNPs) loaded multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-chitosan (Ch) film. The ratio of MWCNT and GNP was optimised to get best electrochemically active electrode. Sandwich immunoassay format was used for the immunosensing of ricin. The revealing antibodies tagged with the enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP) converts the substrate 1-naphthyl phosphate into 1-naphthol that was determined with the amperometric technique. The amperometric current obtained was correlated with the concentration of ricin. The prepared GNP-MWCNT-Ch-SPE showed high stability due to the Ch film, short response time with good reproducibility and increased shelf life of the electrodes immobilised with antibodies. The electrochemical activity of the electrode improved because of optimization of composition of CNTs and gold nanoparticles. Under the optimal conditions, the modified electrode showed a wide linear response to the concentration of ricin in the range of 2.5-25 ng mL(-1) with a limit of detection of 2.1 ng mL(-1) and with a relative standard deviation of 5.1% and storage life of 32 days.  相似文献

Summary Xylenol orange reacts very sensitively with gallium(III), indium (III) and thallium(III) to form reddish violet colored chelates having max 560 nm in case of Ga and In and max 590 nm in case of Ti at PH 4.0. The molar ratio for all the chelates is 1 1 (metal reagent). Optimum conditions including the range for adherence to Beer's law, effect of PH on the color intensity, effect of excess reagent, and sensitivity are reported for the photometric determination of these metal ions using Xylenol orange.
Zusammenfassung Xylenolorange reagiert sehr empfindlich mit Gallium(III), Indium(III) und Thallium(III) unter Bildung rötlich-violetter Chelate mit einem Absorptionsmaximum bei 560 nm im Falle von Ga und In bzw. 590 nm für Tl bei pH 4,0. Das Molverhältnis ist in jedem Fall 11. Die besten Arbeitsbedingungen, der Gültigkeitsbereich des Beerschen Gesetzes, der Einfluß des PH auf die Farbintensität und des Reagensüberschusses sowie die Empfindlichkeit werden für die photometrische Bestimmung der genannten Ionen angegeben.

A rapid method for selective cleavage of aryl methylethers can be achieved in the presence of a protic acid and a catalytic amount of phase-transfer catalyst (Aliquat-336). Aliquat-336 accelerates the rate of reaction and affords the corresponding phenols in excellent to good yields on a wide variety of substrates.
