In this paper, a mathematical model is presented for studying thin film damping of the surrounding fluid in an in-plane oscillating micro-beam resonator. The proposed model for this study is made up of a clamped-clamped micro-beam bound between two fixed layers. The micro-gap between the micro-beam and fixed layers is filled with air. As classical theories are not properly capable of pre-dicting the size dependence behaviors of the micro-beam, and also behavior of micro-scale fluid media, hence in the presented model, equation of motion governing longitudinal displacement of the micro-beam has been extracted based on non-local elasticity theory. Furthermore, the fluid field has been modeled based on micro-polar theory. These coupled equations have been simplified using Newton-Laplace and continuity equations. After transforming to non-dimensional form and linearizing, the equations have been discretized and solved simultaneously using a Galerkin-based reduced order model. Considering slip boundary conditions and applying a complex frequency approach, the equivalent damping ratio and quality factor of the micro-beam resonator have been obtained. The obtained values for the quality factor have been compared to those based on classical theories. We have shown that applying non-classical theories underestimate the values of the quality factor obtained based on classical theo-ries. The effects of geometrical parameters of the micro-beam and micro-scale fluid field on the quality factor of the res-onator have also been investigated.  相似文献

This paper reports a two-dimensional numerical prediction of premixed methane-air combustion in inert porous media burner by using of four multi-step mechanisms: GRI-3.0 mechanism, GRI-2.11 mechanism and the skeletal and 17 Species mechanisms. The effects of these models on temperature, chemical species and pollutant emissions are studied. A two-dimensional axisymmetric model for premixed methane-air combustion in porous media burner has developed. The finite volume method has used to solve the governing equations of methane-air combustion in inert porous media burner. The results indicate that the present four models have the same accuracy in predicting temperature profiles and the difference between these profiles is not more than 2 %. In addition, the Gri-3.0 mechanism shows the best prediction of NO emission in comparison with experimental data. The 17 Species mechanism shows good agreement in prediction of temperature and pollutant emissions with GRI-3.0, GRI-2.11 and the skeletal mechanisms. Also the effects of wall temperature on the gas temperature and mass fraction of species such as NO and CH4 are studied.  相似文献

We generalize the linear-time shortest-paths algorithm for planar graphs with nonnegative edge-weights of Henzinger et al. (1994) to work for any proper minor-closed class of graphs. We argue that their algorithm can not be adapted by standard methods to all proper minor-closed classes. By using recent deep results in graph minor theory, we show how to construct an appropriate recursive division in linear time for any graph excluding a fixed minor and how to transform the graph and its division afterwards, so that it has maximum degree three. Based on such a division, the original framework of Henzinger et al. can be applied. Afterwards, we show that using this algorithm, one can implement Mehlhorn’s (1988) 2-approximation algorithm for the Steiner tree problem in linear time on these graph classes.  相似文献

Polypropylene (PP)/silica aerogel (SA) composites were prepared and their thermal and flammability properties were studied. The PP/SA composites with different weight percent were prepared via melt compounding method using an internal mixer. Their morphology, thermal conductivity, thermal stability and combustion behavior were characterized. The SEM images confirmed the homogenous mixing of the components. The measurement of the thermal conductivities of samples indicated that PP would be a better thermal barrier in the presence of SA. The thermal gravimetric analysis results showed that combining the silica aerogel particles into polypropylene increased the decomposition temperature. The resultant composites displayed improved flame retardancy with a significant reduction in the peak heat release rate and increase of limited oxygen index value. It can be concluded that the flame retardant mechanism of PP/SA composites is associated with two decisive factors: a coat-like char effect and a physical crosslinking effect.  相似文献

Medication‐related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) poses an ongoing challenge for clinicians and researchers. Currently, there is a lack of preventative measures available for at‐risk patients undergoing tooth extractions, especially those with prior bisphosphonate treatment due to osteoporosis or bone metastasis diagnoses. Here, these issues are addressed using a preventative tissue engineering strategy against MRONJ development. This study evaluates the efficacy of a poly(ethylene glycol)‐heparin hydrogel as a tool for the delivery of arginylglycylaspartic acid (RGD) and recombinant human bone morphogenic protein‐2 (rhBMP‐2). Three groups of skeletally mature rats each receive two doses of intravenous zoledronic acid prior to surgery and undergo extraction of the right first mandibular molar with gingival closure. Experimental groups either have the sockets left empty, filled with hydrogel minus rhBMP‐2, or filled with hydrogel plus rhBMP‐2. Eight weeks postoperatively specimens are analyzed using radiological, histological, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. µCT analysis shows increased bone formation with hydrogel/rhBMP‐2 delivery compared to the empty socket. Hydrogel‐treated groups display increased presence of osteocytes and increased osteoclastic action compared to the empty sockets. These results represent the first step toward improved delivery of rhBMP‐2 and a potential MRONJ preventative for patients undergoing bisphosphonate treatment.  相似文献

Given a non-unit, non-zero-divisor, central element x of a ring Λ, it is well known that many properties or invariants of Λ determine, and are determined by, those of Λ/xΛ and Λx. In the present paper, we investigate how the property of “being tilting” behaves in this situation. It turns out that any tilting module over Λ gives rise to tilting modules over Λx and Λ/xΛ after localization and passing to quotient respectively. On the other hand, it is proved that under some mild conditions, a module over Λ is tilting if its corresponding localization and quotient are tilting over Λx and Λ/xΛ respectively.  相似文献
