Microgel polymers containing a series of functional groups have been prepared. These microgels were composed of cross-linked poly(styrene) and were prepared by radical polymerization in solution. The microgel polymers exhibit good solubility in an array of different organic solvents, and in addition, they can be efficiently precipitated by the addition of methanol and isolated by filtration. A nine-member phthalide library was synthesized using an aminomethyl-functionalized microgel 5. To further demonstrate the versatility of these microgel polymers, tris(2-aminoethyl)amino microgel 11 was examined as a scavenger reagent to remove unreacted isocyanate after a urea synthesis. Finally, a microgel-supported ammonium borohydride reagent 14 was successfully prepared and used as a reducing agent. Notable features of these microgels are that in all applications the progress of the reaction could be monitored by standard NMR techniques and their preparation is performed using common glassware and techniques found in all organic laboratories. 相似文献

The adsorption structure of methylthiolate (CH3S) adsorbed on Au(111), a long-standing controversial issue, has been unambiguously determined by scanned-energy and scanned-angle S 2p photoelectron diffraction. The methylthiolate molecules are found to occupy atop sites with a S-Au distance of 2.42 +/- 0.03 A. The angular distribution of the S 2p photoelectrons due to forward scattering reveals that the S-C bond is inclined by approximately 50 degrees from the surface normal towards both the [211] and [121] (nearest-neighbor thiolate) directions. 相似文献

In order to study the local electronic structure of nitrogen impurity in rutile TiO2, we have measured double-quantum NMR spectra of short lived β-emitter 12N(I = 1, T 1/2 = 11 ms) implanted into a rutile single crystal by means of the β-NMR technique. The resonance line obtained at room temperature is well accounted for by the second order shift due to the quadrupole interaction at the oxygen substitutional site. The spectrum at 25 K has shown the other lines than the central diamagnetic line shifted by 10?15 kHz to both sides, which has been already shown in the previous data obtained with a different crystal orientation and an external field. Novel block copolymers, poly(3‐hexylthiophene)‐b‐poly(ethylene oxide) (P3HT‐b‐PEO) were synthesized via Suzuki coupling reaction of P3HT and PEO homopolymers. The copolymers were characterized by NMR, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimeter, and UV–vis measurements. A series of devices based on the block copolymers with a fullerene derivative were evaluated after thermal or solvent annealing. The device using P3HT‐b‐PEO showed higher efficiency than using P3HT blend after thermal annealing.
