The Hall coefficient and resistivity were measured on a series of samples of InTe in Pb0.4Sn0.6Te solid solutions with varying indium content from 0 to 5 molar%. All samples show a p-type conductivity with the concentration of holes 1019 cm−3 at 77 K. A considerable decrease of mobility calculated from the measurements was observed in the samples with high content of In. The contribution to the mobility, directly related to the scattering of holes into In atoms, was determined, and the scattering crosssection was estimated. We observed a drastic increase in the scattering crosssection with the rise of In content, which can be explained by the resonance scattering of holes into the band of quasi-local states of In. This result can also be explained with the use of the Breit–Wigner formula. The location of the In states in the valence band was also calculated using the Kane model. 相似文献

Background
Carbenoxolone (CBX) is a widely used gap junctional blocker. Considering several reports indicating that transient gap junctional blockade could be a favourable intervention following injuries to central nervous tissue, and some current enthusiasm in studies using systemic injections of CBX, it is imperative to consider the penetration of CBX into central nervous tissue after systemic administrations. So far, only very indirect evidence suggests that CBX penetrates into the central nervous system after systemic administrations. We present the synthesis and analysis of silica-coated Au/Ag bimetallic nanorods with controlled surface plasmon bands. Depending on the thickness of Ag shell deposited on the Au nanorod surface, there is a blue-shift on the longitudinal surface plasmon band of Au nanorods, which can be expressed by an approximate formula derived from the absorption profile of light in Ag films using finite difference time domain simulations. The subsequent coating of silica shell not only enhances the stability of the Au/Ag bimetallic nanorods but also provides a mesoporous host for optically active species. Minute red-shifts of the longitudinal resonance mode, induced by stepwise increased silica shell volumes, are shown. Application as carrier for fluorescent rhodamine B molecules is demonstrated by photoluminescence analysis. On the single-particle level, dark field microscopy of Au/Ag-silica nanorods was finally employed. This introduces a route towards revealing the relation between structure, shape, and optical (plasmonic) properties of complex composite metal particles as well as fabrication strategies for nanoassemblies of tailored structures in the field of nanoplasmonics. 相似文献

Size exclusion chromatography (SEC) was coupled on-line to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for speciation study of trace metals in cancerous thyroid tissues in comparison to healthy thyroids aimed to estimation of changes in metalloprotein speciation in pathological tissue. The study showed a presence of species binding Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in healthy thyroid tissue with a good reproducibility of chromatographic results, whereas the same species could not be detected in cancerous tissues. Thus, remarkable differences with respect to metal-binding species were revealed between healthy and pathological thyroid samples, pointing out a completely different distribution of trace metals in cancerous tissues. The metal-binding species could not be identified in the frame of this work because of a lack of appropriate standards. Nevertheless, the results obtained confirm the suitability of SEC-ICP-MS for monitoring of changes in trace metal distribution in cancerous tissue and will help to better understand the role of metal-containing species in thyroid pathology. 相似文献

Macrocycle acidity and Zn2+ ion coordination are reported for three porphyrin derivatives which differ in both steric and electronic substitution effects on the macrocycle π-conjugated system. The role of the electronic substitution effects in the macrocycle deprotonation and metal ion chelating was found to be dominating whereas the macrocycle nonplanar distortions contribute to the acidity and metal chelation rate of the studied porphyrins in less extent. The contributions of both resonance and inductive electronic substitution effects have been distinguished based on the relationship between the weighted sum of resonance and inductive Hammett constants and the acidity and metal ion chelation rate. 相似文献

The enantiomers (up to 99% ee) of both geraniol- and nerol-derived 2-cyclohexyl-5,9-dimethyldeca-4,8-dienoic acid, the active ingredient of the wound healing medication Cygerol, were prepared via a low-temperature alkylation, basic hydrolysis, derivatization with (S)-4-benzyloxazolidin-2-one and chromatographic separation steps. The absolute configuration of stereocenters in the antipodes having an (E)- or (Z)-geometry of the internal double bond was determined based on characteristic 1H NMR signals of the corresponding (S)-4-benzyloxazolidin-2-one-derived imides and on conversion to the known diethyl (S)-2-cyclohexylsuccinate and (S)-2-cyclohexylbutane-1,4-diol with reported specific rotations. 相似文献
