Optical properties of mouse biotissues and their optical phantoms

The optical characteristics of a barrier discharge in a mixture of heavy water vapor with argon in the wavelength region 200–315 nm are presented. The dependence of the radiation intensity of the OD (A → X) band at λ = 309 nm on the partial pressure of the D₂O vapor is studied, the mechanism of hydroxyl formation in the plasma is considered, and optimal compositions of pollution-free and inexpensive mixtures based on Ar-D₂O are determined for application in UV lamps, which are promising for use in photomedicine.

Synthesis of kairomones and their analogs from 2-acylcyclohexane-1,3-diones with an unsaturated acyl side chain

Natural 2-[(9Z)-1-oxooctadec-9-en-1-yl]-, 2-[(9Z,12Z)-1-oxooctadeca-9,12-dien-1-yl]-, and 2-[(9Z,12Z,15Z)-1-oxooctadeca-9,12,15-trien-1-yl]cyclohexane-1,3-diones (components of flour moth Ephestia kuehniella kairomones) and some their analogs were synthesized from cyclohexane-1,3-diones and long-chain unsaturated carboxylic acid chlorides.     

Effect of the carbon filler on the curing kinetics of epoxycyanate cooligomer

The influence of carbon fibre on the curing kinetics of the prepolymer based on bisphenol A cyanurate and epoxy resin has been studied using infra‐red spectroscopy. It was found that curing process of prepolymer is very complicated. It is shown that in curing the prepolymer a number of the sequential transformations of ones cycle structure into others occurs. An introduction of the carbon fiber (CF) of two types, original CF and modified CF (MCF) containing phosphate groups, affect strongly the prepolymer curing. Both CF and MCF accelerate the conversion rate of epoxy groups. In the case of cyanate groups, the former does not practically affect their conversion whereas the latter decelerates strongly this process. In the paper the influence mechanism of CF is considered.
