In this work we introduce a spatio-temporal bounded noise derived by the sine-Wiener noise and by the spatially colored unbounded noise proposed by García-Ojalvo, Sancho, and Ramírez-Piscina (GSR noise). We characterize the behavior of the equilibrium distribution of this novel noise by showing its dependence on both the temporal and the spatial autocorrelation lengths. In particular, we show that the distribution experiences a stochastic transition from bimodality to trimodality. Then, we employ the noise here defined to study the emergence of phase transitions in the real Ginzburg–Landau model. Various phenomena are evidenced by means of numerical simulations, among which reentrant transitions, as well as differences in the response of the system to “equivalent” GSR additive noise perturbations.  相似文献

A series of linearly arranged donor-spacer-acceptor (D-S-A) systems 1-3, has been prepared and characterized. These dyads combine an Os(II)bis(terpyridine) unit as the photoactivable electron donor (D), a biphenylene (2) or phenylene-xylylene (3) fragment as the spacer (S), and a N-aryl-2,6-diphenylpyridinium electrophore (with aryl = 4-pyridyl or 4-pyridylium in 1 or 2/3, respectively) as the acceptor (A). Their absorption spectra, redox behavior, and luminescence properties (both at 77 K in rigid matrix and at 298 K in fluid solution) have been studied. The electronic structure and spectroscopic properties of a representative compound of the series (i.e., 2) have also been investigated at the theoretical level, performing Density Functional Theory (DFT)-based calculations. Time-dependent transient absorption spectra of 1-3 have also been recorded at room temperature. The results indicate that efficient photoinduced oxidative electron transfer takes place in the D-S-A systems at room temperature in fluid solution, for which rate constants (in the range 4 × 10(8)-2 × 10(10) s(-1)) depend on the driving force of the process and the spacer nature. In all the D-S-A systems, charge recombination is faster than photoinduced charge separation, in spite of the relatively large energy of the D(+)-S-A(-) charge-separated states (between 1.47 and 1.78 eV for the various species), which would suggest that the charge recombination occurs in the Marcus inverted region. Considerations based on superexchange mechanism suggest that the reason for the fast charge recombination is the presence of a virtual D-S(+)-A(-) state at low energy--because of the involvement of the easily oxidizable biphenylene spacer--which is beneficial for charge recombination via superexchange but unsuitable for photoinduced charge separation. To further support the above statement, we prepared a fourth D-S-A species, 4, analogous to 2 but with a (hardly oxidizable) single phenylene fragment serving as the spacer. For such a species, charge recombination (about 3 × 10(10) s(-1)) is slower than photoinduced charge separation (about 1 × 10(11) s(-1)), thereby confirming our suggestions.  相似文献

The levels of urinary catecholamine metabolites, such as homovanillic acid (HVA) and vanillylmandelic acid, are routinely used as a clinical tool in the diagnosis and follow‐up of neuroblastoma (NB) patients. Recently, in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory Unit of G. Gaslini Children Hospital, a commercial method that employs liquid chromatography coupled to electrochemical detection (LC‐EC) has been introduced for the measurement of these metabolites in the routine laboratory practice. Using this LC‐EC method, an unknown peak could be observed only in samples derived from NB patients. To investigate the nature of this peak, we used a combination of liquid chromatography‐time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (LC‐TOF‐MS) and liquid chromatography‐ion trap tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐IT‐MS). The first approach was used to obtain the elemental composition of the ions present in this new signal. To get additional structural information useful for the elucidation of unknown compounds, the ion trap analyzer was exploited. We were able to identify not just one, but three unknown signals in urine samples from NB patients which corresponded to three conjugated products of HVA: HVA sulfate and two glucuronoconjugate isomers. The enzymatic hydrolysis with β‐glucuronidase confirmed the proposed structures, while the selective alkaline hydrolysis allowed us to distinguish the difference between phenol‐ and acyl‐glucuronide of HVA. Summary. In this paper, the regularized solutions of an ill–conditioned system of linear equations are computed for several values of the regularization parameter . Then, these solutions are extrapolated at by various vector rational extrapolations techniques built for that purpose. These techniques are justified by an analysis of the regularized solutions based on the singular value decomposition and the generalized singular value decomposition. In this work, the phytochemical analysis of Teucrium chamaedrys L. collected in Italy was reported. Eight compounds were isolated and identified by means of classical column chromatography and spectroscopic techniques, such as NMR and MS. In detail, these compounds were: verbascoside (1), forsythoside b (2), samioside (3), alyssonoside (4), harpagide (5), 8-O-acetyl-harpagide (6), cirsiliol (7) and β-arbutin (8). The presence of these compounds, in particular iridoids and phenyl-ethanoid glycosides, has a chemotaxonomic relevance and results to be in perfect accordance with the current botanical classification of the species. In addition, it provides a phytochemical rationale for the use of this particular plant in the ethno-pharmacological field. Conversely, it is worth of mention the absence of potentially toxic components, unlike to what observed in other species of the genus which can no longer be used for ethno-medicinal purposes.  相似文献

The use of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) for the analysis of the major nucleobases, nucleosides, and nucleotides, and their chemically modified derivatives, has been developed and refined. The dimensions of the separating capillaries, the composition of the buffering systems, and the conditions used for electrophoresis were investigated in order to obtain the best performance. Particular emphasis was placed on the identification of the physiological constituents of nucleic acids and their chemically modified analogs: in vitro studies on calf thymus DNA exposed to genotoxic agents have demonstrated that adducted bases and nucleolides can be identified by MECC.  相似文献

A variety of rearrangements in the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene cause severe forms of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). However, current methods for searching these abnormalities in FH samples, e.g., Southern and Northern Blot, are labor-intensive and not routinely used by diagnostic laboratories. We developed a simpler approach based on the quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of part or all gene's coding sequences by a series of multiplex amplifications comprising three nonadjacent gene sections plus a fourth section used as an internal reference. Thereafter, the analysis of these PCR products by microchip electrophoresis revealed either deletions or duplications in the investigated gene sections through the simple comparison of electropherograms obtained from mutant and control samples. This required primers leading to well-resolved peaks with minimal size differences among coamplified products and PCR conditions allowing a linear quantitative response to template amount variations as those caused by duplication or deletion of specific gene sections. Also, the inclusion of exon 17 amplification product as an internal reference in each multiplex PCR allowed the normalization of quantitative results by dividing the area of each amplified section by the area of exon 17. The comparison of these ratios calculated from 10 carriers of 6 LDLR known rearrangements with those obtained from 14 control samples showed that gross deletions roughly halved and duplications doubled the ratio values of exons involved in the mutation. This allowed to distinguish gross mutations from sample-to-sample differences that reached at maximum 8% variation over mean values.  相似文献
