A method for determinig the mean molecular translational energy in gas flows of low intensity (1012–1014 molec. s–1) has been proposed. The method was verified using various gases (H2, N2, O2, and CO2 flowing into a vacuum out of a heated capillary. The translational energies were determined for CO and N2 molecules desorbing from the surface of polycrystalline Ir. The translational temperature (T tr) measured for CO equals 650±90 K and almost coincides with the surface temperature (T s = 600 K). In the case of nitrogen molecules,T tr = 4600±500 K atT s = 500 K. The method proposed is applicable to the determination of the spatial distribution of molecular beam particles.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. The method of temperature-programmed reaction (TPR) with the spatial resolution of desorbed product molecules and the measurements of their average rates (v) are used to study the transformation of methyl radicals adsorbed on polycrystalline copper. In the products of TPR, only methane is found. The spatial distribution of its desorption flow (SDDF) is described by the equation CH3 ·. The results of SDDF and I/I 0= cos16 measurements agree with each other. Under these conditions, translationally excited methane molecules are desorbed from the copper surface. The energy of these molecules is 10–15 times higher than the thermal energy.  相似文献

The self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method has been used for technical lignin utilization after long-term storage under atmosphere conditions. For the first time a new allotropic form of carbon, carbonized lignin, has been obtained and analyzed. It has been shown that, in terms of its parameters (dispersity, surface groups), the carbonized lignin is a suitable alternative to conventional brands of technical carbon in resin compounds.  相似文献
