Cationic polymers can bind DNA to form polyplexes, which are noncovalent complexes used for gene delivery into the targeted cells. For more insight on such biologically relevant systems, the noncovalent complexes between the cationic polymer poly(ethylene imine) (PEI) and the nucleotide mimicking dye Cibacron Blue F3G‐A (CB) were investigated using mass spectrometry methods. Two PEIs of low molecular weight were utilized (Mn ≈ 423 and 600 Da). The different types of CB anions produced by Na+/H+ exchanges on the three sulfonic acid groups of CB and their dehydrated counterparts were responsible for complex formation with PEI. The CB anions underwent noncovalent complex formation with protonated, but not with sodiated PEI. A higher proportion of cyclic oligomers were detected in PEI423 than PEI600, but both architectures formed association products with CB. Tandem mass spectrometry studies revealed a significantly stronger noncovalent interaction between PEI and dehydrated CB than between PEI and intact CB. We designed, synthesized, and characterized a new Zr‐based metal–organic framework material, NU‐1100 , with a pore volume of 1.53 ccg?1 and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area of 4020 m2g?1; to our knowledge, currently the highest published for Zr‐based MOFs. CH4/CO2/H2 adsorption isotherms were obtained over a broad range of pressures and temperatures and are in excellent agreement with the computational predictions. The total hydrogen adsorption at 65 bar and 77 K is 0.092 g g?1, which corresponds to 43 g L?1. The volumetric and gravimetric methane‐storage capacities at 65 bar and 298 K are approximately 180 vSTP/v and 0.27 g g?1, respectively.  相似文献

Pitaya is one of the most preferred and produced tropical fruit species recently introduced to the Mediterrranean region in Turkey. Due to its nutritional fruits with high economic value, the popularity of pitaya increases steadily in Turkey as an alternative crop. No detailed nutritional analysis has been undertaken in Turkey so far on fruits of the pitaya species. In this study, we determined and compared some nutritional parameters in fruit flesh of two pitaya (dragon fruit) species (Hylocereus polyrhizus: Siyam and Hylocereus undatus: Vietnam Jaina) grown in the Adana province located in the eastern Mediterranean region in Turkey. The individual sugars, antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, phenolic compounds and volatiles were determined for the first time in Turkey on two pitaya species. The results showed that total phenol content and antioxidant capacity are notably higher in red-fleshed fruits than white-fleshed ones and the predominant phenolic compound in fruits of both species was quercetin. The total sugar content and most of the phenolic compounds in fruits of two pitaya species were similar. A total of 51 volatile compounds were detected by using two Solid Phase Micro Extraction (SPME) fibers, coupled with Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) techniques, and more volatile compounds were presented in the white-fleshed species. Total phenolic content (TPC) of the red-fleshed and white-fleshed pitaya species were 16.66 and 17.11 mg GAE/100 g FW (fresh weight). This study provides a first look at the biochemical comparison of red-fleshed and white-fleshed pitaya species introduced and cultivated in Turkey. The results also showed, for the first time, the biochemical content and the potential health benefit of Hylocereus grown in different agroecological conditions, providing important information for pitaya researchers and application perspective.  相似文献

Poly aniline and poly aniline doped with 2,5-dimethyl benzene sulfonic acid (PXSA), 4-hydroxy-m-benzene disulfonic acid (PDSA), 3-chloro-4-hydroxybenzene sulfonic acid (OCPSA) were prepared. The polymers are identified by FT-IR and UV–vis spectroscopy. The ionic conductivities of poly aniline and poly aniline doped with 2,5-dimethyl benzene sulfonic acid (PXSA), 4-hydroxy-m-benzene disulfonic acid (PDSA), 3-chloro-4-hydroxybenzene sulfonic acid (OCPSA) were studied as a function of weight of the dopant compounds. It is noted that an increase of the conductance of poly aniline by doping with OCPSA, and became equal to 0.001321 Ω?1 for 1 g higher than the conductance for the poly aniline when it is doped with OCPSA.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Various ferrocene-based organosilanols have been synthesized in four steps starting from achiral ferrocene carboxylic acid. Applying these novel planar-chiral ferrocenes as catalysts in asymmetric phenyl transfer reactions to substituted benzaldehydes afforded products with high enantiomeric excesses. The best result (91% ee) was achieved in the addition to p-chlorobenzaldehyde with organosilanol 2b, which has a tert-butyl substituent on the oxazoline ring and an isopropyl group on the silanol fragment.  相似文献

Chromatographic separation of the extract of Justicia heterocarpa T. ANDERS. afforded, in addition to known fatty acids, terpenoids and steroids, a new podophyllotoxin lignan. Structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, and the structure of the new lignan was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies, which have shown that there is a H-bonding stabilized dimer.  相似文献

For environmental reasons, as well as the dwindling source of petroleum, a new class of environmentally acceptable and renewable biolubricants based on plant oils is available. Even though plant oils possess excellent lubricant-related properties, there are some concerns about using it as biolubricant base oil. In this study we present a series of structures derived from oleic acid to be used as synthetic biolubricant basestocks. Measuring of pour point (PP), flash point, viscosity index (VI), oxidation onset temperature (OT) and signal maximum temperature (SMT) was carried out for each compound. Furthermore, the friction and wear properties were measured using a high-frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR). The resulting product structures were confirmed by NMR and FTIR spectroscopic analysis. The results showed that ethylhexyl 9-(octanoyloxy)-10-(behenoxy)octadecanoate with behenyl mid-chain ester exhibited the most favorable low temperature performance (PP ?48 °C) and ethylhexyl 9-(octanoyloxy)-10-(octyloxy)octadecanoate octyl mid-chain ester exhibited higher oxidation stability (OT 142 °C) than the other synthetic ester oils. On the other hand, the highest ball wear scan diameter was obtained for ethylhexyl 9-(octanoyloxy)-10-(behenoxy)octadecanoate while the lowest value was obtained for 9-hydroxy-10-octyloxyoctadecanoic acid. Overall, it was concluded that these synthetic ester oils have potential in formulation of industrial fluids for different temperature applications.  相似文献

Measurements have been made to determine the mass attenuation coefficients of undoped n-type InSe, and Gd, Ho, Er doped n-InSe single crystals using a Si(Li) detector in the energy region 15.746–40.930 keV X-ray energies with energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence systems. InSe, InSe:Gd, InSe:Ho and InSe:Er single crystals were grown by using the stockbarger method. The measured values are graphically compared with the theoretical ones obtained using WinXcom.  相似文献

In this study, channel waveguides fabricated in photopolymer films by direct-writing using a low-power CW laser, are used as phase objects in a simple plane-wave diffraction setup, and the refractive index modulation profiles of the waveguides are characterized using the recorded diffraction patterns. Index profiles are modeled by piece-wisely combining two Gaussian functions representing the central and the tail regions. Measured diffraction patterns are matched with patterns generated using the model. This simple model makes it possible to design various channel waveguides embedded into polymer substrates. The proposed model is tested on three distinctive waveguide profiles written on the same Acrylamide/Polyvinyl Alcohol based photopolymer with different exposures.  相似文献

Higher homotopy of graphs has been defined in several articles. In Dochterman (Hom complexes and homotopy theory in the category of graphs. arXiv math/0605275 v2,28/09/2006, 2006), the authors asked for a companion homology theory. We define such a theory for the category of unoriented reflexive graphs; it exhibits a long exact sequence for a pair of graphs (G, A), satisfies an excision property and a Hurewicz theorem. This allows us to compute the top homology of the graphical n-spheres showing that the theory is not trivial and is able to detect n-dimensional holes in a graph. The long-term objective is to compare the homotopy of the topological and graphical spheres.  相似文献
