In the current study, we report on the dielectric behavior of colossal-dielectric-constant Na1/2La1/2Cu3Ti4O12 (NLCTO) ceramics prepared by mechanochemical synthesis and spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 850 °C, 900 °C, and 925 °C for 10 min. X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that all the ceramics have a cubic phase. Scanning electron microscope observations revealed an increase in the average grain size from 175 to 300 nm with an increase in the sintering temperature. SPS NLCTO ceramics showed a room-temperature colossal dielectric constant (>103) and a comparatively high dielectric loss (>0.1) over most of the studied frequency range (1 Hz–40 MHz). Two relaxation peaks were observed in the spectra of the electrical modulus and attributed to the response of grain and grain boundary. According to the Nyquist plots of complex impedance, the SPS NLCTO ceramics have semiconductor grains surrounded by electrically resistive grain boundaries. The colossal dielectric constant of SPS NLCTO ceramics was attributed to the internal barrier layer capacitance (IBLC) effect. This article investigates the analytic solution for the flow of a third grade fluid past an infinite porous plate. The method of parameter differentiation is used to linearized the governing flow equation. The solution of the obtained linear equation is developed by differential transform method in combination with the method of superposition. The obtained results are compared with existing results in the literature and an excellent agreement is found. Iron has been determined in apple and vegetables spectrophotometrically, by complexing it with xylenol orange. 1:1 complex formed in a highly acidic medium is measured for its absorbance at its λmax of 585 nm. The results have been compared by employing atomic absorption technique. Apples and vegetable samples were collected from local markets of Pakistan. Statistical manipulations, t-test and F-test, were performed and it was found that the results from the two techniques have an excellent agreement. 相似文献

Kinetics of D-mannose oxidation by cerium (IV) was studied in a sulfuric acid medium at 40℃ both in absence and presence of ionic micelles. In both cases, the rate of the reaction was first-order in D-mannose and in cerium(Ⅳ), which decreased with increasing [H2SO4]. This suggested that the redox reaction followed the same mechanism. The reaction proceeded through formation of an intermediate complex, which was proved by kinetic method. The complex underwent slow unimolecular decomposition to a free radical that reacted with cerium (Ⅳ) to afford the product. The catalytic role of cationic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) micelles was best explained by the Menger-Portnoy model. The study of the effect of CTAB also indicated that a negatively charged species was reactive form of cerium (Ⅳ). From the kinetic data, micelle-cerium (Ⅳ) binding and rate constants in micellar medium were evaluated.The anionic micelle of sodium dodecyl sulfate plays no catalytic role. This article looks at the hydrodynamic elastico-viscous fluid over a stretching surface. The equations governing the flow are reduced to ordinary differential equations, which are analytically solved by applying an efficient technique namely the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The solutions for the velocity components are computed. The numerical values of wall skin friction coefficients are also tabulated. The present HAM solution is compared with the known exact solution for the two-dimensional flow and an excellent agreement is found. 相似文献

This Letter looks at the rotating flow of a second grade fluid past a porous shrinking surface. The fluid is electrically conducting in the presence of a constant applied magnetic field. The governing partial differential equations are first reduced into ordinary differential equations and then solved by homotopy analysis method (HAM). We have theoretically investigated two-dimensional atom localization using the absorption spectra of birefringence beams of light in a single wavelength domain.The atom localization is controlled and modified through tunneling effect in a conductive chiral atomic medium with absorption spectra of birefringent beams.The significant localization peaks are investigated in the left and right circularly polarized beam.Single and double localized peaks are observed in different quadrants with minimum uncertainty and significant probability.The localized probability is modified by controlling birefringence and tunneling conditions.These results may be useful for the capability of optical microscopy and atom imaging. 相似文献

In a photonic crystal composed of anisotropic constituents we quantify the range of input angles and the degree of collimation of the beam inside the crystal.
