Summary Xylenol orange reacts very sensitively with gallium(III), indium (III) and thallium(III) to form reddish violet colored chelates having max 560 nm in case of Ga and In and max 590 nm in case of Ti at PH 4.0. The molar ratio for all the chelates is 1 1 (metal reagent). Optimum conditions including the range for adherence to Beer's law, effect of PH on the color intensity, effect of excess reagent, and sensitivity are reported for the photometric determination of these metal ions using Xylenol orange.
Zusammenfassung Xylenolorange reagiert sehr empfindlich mit Gallium(III), Indium(III) und Thallium(III) unter Bildung rötlich-violetter Chelate mit einem Absorptionsmaximum bei 560 nm im Falle von Ga und In bzw. 590 nm für Tl bei pH 4,0. Das Molverhältnis ist in jedem Fall 11. Die besten Arbeitsbedingungen, der Gültigkeitsbereich des Beerschen Gesetzes, der Einfluß des PH auf die Farbintensität und des Reagensüberschusses sowie die Empfindlichkeit werden für die photometrische Bestimmung der genannten Ionen angegeben.

We have performed molecular dynamics simulations of liquid water at 298 and 258 K to investigate the effects of hydrogen-bond environment on various single-particle and pair dynamical properties of water molecules at ambient and supercooled conditions. The water molecules are modelled by the extended simple point charge (SPC/E) model. We first calculate the distribution of hydrogen-bond environment in liquid water at both temperatures and then investigate how the self-diffusion and orientational relaxation of a single water molecule and also the relative diffusion and relaxation of the hydrogen-bond of a water pair depend on the nature of the hydrogen-bond environment of the tagged molecules. We find that the various dynamical quantities depend significantly on the hydrogen-bond environment, especially at the supercooled temperature. The present study provides a molecular-level insight into the dynamics of liquid water under ambient and supercooled conditions.  相似文献

Kinetics and mechanism of the hydrogen abstraction reaction between trifluoromethyl formate, CF3OCHO, and OH radical have been investigated by using ab initio molecular orbital theory up to G2(MP2) level. The hydrogen abstraction rate constant has been calculated for the first time over a temperature range of 250–450 K by using standard transition state theory including the tunneling correction. Arrhenius parameters of the reaction have been estimated from the temperature dependence of the calculated rate constant. The calculated value for the rate constant (2.0 × 10?14 cm3 molecule?1 s?1) at 298 K is found to be in very good agreement with the recent experimental results. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Manganese(II) complexes having the general composition Mn(L)2X2 (where L = 3‐bromoacetophenone semicarbazone, 3‐bromoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone, 1‐tetralone semicarbazone, 1‐tetralone thiosemicarbazone, flavanone semicarbazone or flavanone thiosemicarbazone and X = Cl? or ½SO42?) were synthesized. All the complexes were characterized using elemental analyses, molar conductance and magnetic moment measurements, and mass, 1H NMR, infrared, electron paramagnetic resonance and electronic spectral studies. The molar conductance of the complexes in dimethylsulfoxide lies in the range 10–20 Ω?1 cm2 mol?1 indicating their non‐electrolytic nature. All the complexes show magnetic moments corresponding to five unpaired electrons. The possible geometries of the complexes were assigned on the basis of electron paramagnetic resonance, electronic and infrared spectral studies. Some of the synthesized ligands and their complexes were screened for their antifungal activities against fungi Macrophomina phaseolina, Botrytis cinerea and Phoma glomerata using the food poison technique and their antibacterial activities against Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris and Ralstonia solanacearum using the paper disc diffusion method. Transition metal complexes of Mn(II) and Ni(II) have been synthesized with novel bioactive Schiff's base ligand. Schiff's base ligand i.e. benzoylacetone‐bis(2‐amino‐4‐methylbenzothioazole) has been synthesized via condensation reaction between 2‐amino‐4‐methylbenzothioazole and benzoylacetone in 2:1 ratio, respectively. Synthesized ligand has been characterized using elemental analysis, infra‐red, 1H–NMR and mass spectroscopy techniques. Characterization of complexes was based on magnetic moment, molar conductance, elemental analysis, electronic spectra, infra‐red and EPR spectroscopic techniques. Molar conductance data suggest that metal complexes are non‐electrolytic in nature. Therefore, these complexes are formulated as [M(L)X2], where M = Mn(II), Ni(II), L = Schiff's base ligand, X = Cl?, CH3COO?, NO3?. Data of characterization study suggest octahedral geometry for Mn(II) and Ni(II) complexes. Geometry of metal complexes was also optimized with the help of computational study i.e. molecular modelling. Computational study also suggests octahedral geometry for complexes. Free ligand as well as its all metal complexes have been screened against the growth of pathogenic bacteria (E.coli, S.aureus) and fungi (C.albicans, C.krusei, C.parapsilosis, C.tropicalis) to assess their inhibition potential. The inhibition data revealed that metal complexes exhibit higher inhibition potential against the growth of bacteria and fungi microorganisms than free ligand.  相似文献

A competent and highly discriminating one-pot synthesis of highly diversified novel functionalized indenoquinoxalone grafted spiropyrrolidine linked chromene-3-carbonitrile conjugates accumulating three pharmocophoric cores, heterocyclic indenoquinoxalone, pyrrolidines and chromene-3-carbonitrile in a single molecular framework by means of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between indenoquinoxalone, proline/benzyl amine and chromene-3-carbonitrile in ethanol under classical and microwave conditions is described. The three component 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction proceeds via in situ generation of azomethine ylides by the decarboxylative condensation of indenoquinoxalone with proline/benzyl amine and their selectivity towards the endo cyclic double bonds of dipolarophile (chromene-3-carbonitrile) leading to the formation of highly functionalised regio- and diastereoselective molecular hybrids. This methodology exemplifies the green chemistry protocol such as mild reaction conditions, high yields, one-pot procedure and operational simplicity.  相似文献

A versatile, robust and efficient strategy for the synthesis of vast range of highly functionalized 5-substituted 1H-tetrazole derivatives by using one pot three-component synthesis from various aldehydes, hydroxylamine hydrochloride and sodium azide in presence of a catalytic amount of ceric ammonium sulphate, a non toxic, easily available, inexpensive, unexplored and reusable catalyst is reported. This one-pot synthesis has several advantages such as mild reaction conditions, shorter reaction time, low catalyst loading, good to moderate yields and functional group tolerance making this methodology practically feasible. The synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS.  相似文献

A library of 24 glycoconjugates related to glycosylated beta-amino acid derivative (I) was been prepared and screened against DNA topoisomerase-II of the filarial parasite S. cervi. Among these, compound 6 was found to be a potent inhibitor of DNA topoisomerase-II with 95% inhibition at 1.09 microM. Furthermore, compound 6 was at least three times more potent than the lead compound, glycosylated beta-amino acid derivative I.  相似文献

The reduction of triphenyltin piperidyl dithiocarbamate in acetone has been investigated using d.c. polarography and cyclic voltammetry. Polarographic reduction yielded four well-defined waves, two of which were diffusion-controlled and two of which appear to represent adsorption processes. The cyclic voltammetric study yielded results in close agreement with the polarographic data. Results appear to indicate the release of the dithiocarbamate moiety, followed by reduction to form the triphenyltin radical, which undergoes dimerization, as well as reduction to the triphenyltin anion. For comparison, the polarographic reduction of triphenyltinchloride was investigated. A mechanism similar to that proposed by earlier authors for the polarographic behaviour of tributyltin oxide was found. For convenience, the more commonly used terminology of piperidyl dithiocarbamate is used throughout the paper, in place of (piperidine-1-carbodithioato) triphenyltin (IV).  相似文献
