Exciplex parameters: key factors in the dielectric behaviour of magnetodynamics

Photoinduced electron transfer reactions in solution produce two primary geminate radical ion pairs: contact ion pair or exciplex and solvent-separated ion pair. The magnetodynamics of radical ion pairs involves suppression of the spin-evolution between singlet and triplet states of a fraction of solvent-separated ion pairs, the partners of which undergo prior diffusion to attain the distance where exchange interaction is negligible, in the presence of an external low magnetic field of the order of the hyperfine interactions present in the system. This results in an increase in geminate recombination of the singlet solvent-separated ion pairs and enhancement in exciplex luminescence since the precursor radical ion pair is singlet. Although seemingly magnetodynamics is a diffusion-controlled phenomenon that should depend mainly on the dielectric constant of the medium (keeping viscosity almost constant), it is not true for all the exciplex systems since the nature of the magnetic field effect versus medium dielectric curves differ from each other in peak positions, peak heights and onset points. To investigate this differential nature, magnetic field effects among exciplex systems consisting of different derivatives of carbazole as electron donors are compared with a universal acceptor, 1,4-dicyano-benzene, with the pyrene—N,N-dimethylaniline exciplex system as reference. It was found that, apart from the solvent dielectric, the exciplex energy and the bulk effect of the steric constraints present on either donor or acceptor site, regulating the optimum inter-radical distance in the initially formed radical ion pair, are the key factors in controlling the magnetodynamic behaviour.     

Phase-locked solutions and their stability in the presence of propagation delays

We investigate phase-locked solutions of a continuum field of nonlocally coupled identical phase oscillators with distance-dependent propagation delays. Equilibrium relations for both synchronous and travelling wave solutions in the parameter space characterizing the nonlocality and time delay are delineated. For the synchronous states a comprehensive stability diagram is presented that provides a heuristic synchronization condition as well as an analytic relation for the marginal stability curve. The relation yields simple stability expressions in the limiting cases of local and global coupling of phase oscillators.     

波长色散X射线荧光光谱法测定钴精矿中钴、铜和锰含量

采用高纯氧化物经四硼酸锂和偏硼酸锂熔融制备人工标准样品,以氧化镱为内标,制作校准曲线,建立了波长色散型X射线荧光光谱法测定钴精矿中钴、铜、锰元素的分析方法。重点研究了混合熔剂、试样稀释比、氧化剂和内标选择、方法检出限、方法准确度和精密度等,结果表明,各元素校准曲线线性范围宽,相关系数均大于0.999, 钴、铜、锰元素检出限分别达到0.002%、0.001%和0.001%,测试准确度和精密度可靠,方法满足行业检测需求。     

LR-normal orthogroups

A new kind of regular orthogroups, namely, the LR-normal orthogroups is introduced and investigated. In particular, we will introduce the gearing techniques for fitting semigroup components on a semilattice in the construction of LR-normal orthogroups.     

Sr原子自电离态的电场效应

用多步激发的方法,将Sr原子从基态5s~2经价态4α~(-2)激发至(4d_(3/2)np,n_f)J=1和(4d_(5/2)np,nf)J=1自电离系列,观察其在外电场0～5kV/cm内的光谱.对所观察到的n=12,13,14附近的斯塔克谱图进行了分析与讨论.     

Eu原子4f76s(7S)np系列自电离谱的观察和测定

用激光三步共振激发方法观察了Eu原子的自电离谱。测定了Eu原子偶宇称,能量在45740.3—47341.0cm^-1范围的75个能级位置,识别了收敛于Eull 4f⁷6s ⁷S₃的4f⁷6s(⁷S)np(n=12—46)的自电离里德伯系列。报道了这一系列在此能量范围的能级位置及量子亏损数据。 关键词：     

Measurement of the figure of merit of indigenously developed Nd-doped phosphate laser glass rods for use in high power lasers

High energy, high power (HEHP) Nd:glass laser systems are used for inertial confinement fusion and equation of state (EOS) studies of materials at high temperature and pressure. A program has been undertaken for the indigenous development of Nd-doped phosphate laser glass rods and discs for HEHP lasers. In this paper, we report the characterization of the Nd-doped phosphate laser glass rods produced under this program and compare the indigenously developed laser glass to LHG-8 laser glass of M/s Hoya, Japan. We experimentally measured the values of the stimulated emission cross-section (σ) and coefficient of intensity-dependent refractive index (n ₂) and hence the figure of merit F = σ / n₂ of the indigenous phosphate laser glass rods. This value is found comparable to the reported value of identically doped Nd:glass rods.
