A framework for analytical studies of superconducting systems is presented and illustrated. The formalism, based on the conformal transformation of momentum space, allows one to study the effects of both the dispersion relation and the structure of the pairing interaction in two-dimensional anisotropic high-T c superconductors. In this method, the number of employed degrees of freedom coincides with the dimension of the momentum space, which is different compared to that in the standard Van Hove scenario with a single degree of freedom. A new function, the kernel of the density of states, is defined and its relation to the standard density of states is explained. The versatility of the method is illustrated by analyzing coexistence and competition between spin-singlet and spin-triplet order parameters in superconducting systems with a tight-binding-type dispersion relation and an anisotropic pairing potential. Phase diagrams of stable superconducting states in the coordinates η (the ratio of hopping parameters) and n (the carrier concentration) are presented and discussed. Moreover, the role of attractive and repulsive on-site interactions for the stability of the s-wave order parameter is explained. 相似文献

A group of six pre‐graduated students of Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Mechatronics studied problems of dynamics of structures within a project called Vibration Busters implemented in a formula of Project Based Learning. They worked under supervision of professors from the above mentioned faculties. Students, according to their competencies, implemented a procedure of numerical analysis of the problem within Mathematica system, built a physical model of a frame and loaded it with vibrating electrical motors and measured behaviour of the structure. The aim of the project was to develop methods of passive and active controlling of vibrations of building structures. A technology of 3D printing was implemented to build a structure. Thanks to the project students had an opportunity to share their skills and knowledge and acquire several new hard and soft skills. It was also a unique experience for supervisors and a great opportunity to extend fields of interdisciplinary cooperation. Our recent studies identified a novel pathway of nicotinamide metabolism that involves 4-pyridone-3-carboxamide-1-β-D-ribonucleoside (4PYR) and demonstrated its endothelial cytotoxic effect. This study tested the effects of 4PYR and its metabolites in experimental models of breast cancer. Mice were divided into groups: 4T1 (injected with mammary 4T1 cancer cells), 4T1 + 4PYR (4PYR-treated 4T1 mice), and control, maintained for 2 or 21 days. Lung metastasis and endothelial function were analyzed together with blood nucleotides (including 4PYR), plasma amino acids, nicotinamide metabolites, and vascular ectoenzymes of nucleotide catabolism. 4PYR metabolism was also evaluated in cultured 4T1, MDA-MB-231, MCF-7, and T47D cells. An increase in blood 4PYR in 4T1 mice was observed at 2 days. 4PYR and its metabolites were noticed after 21 days in 4T1 only. Higher blood 4PYR was linked with more lung metastases in 4T1 + 4PYR vs. 4T1. Decreased L-arginine, higher asymmetric dimethyl-L-arginine, and higher vascular ecto-adenosine deaminase were observed in 4T1 + 4PYR vs. 4T1 and control. Vascular relaxation caused by flow-dependent endothelial activation in 4PYR-treated mice was significantly lower than in control. The permeability of 4PYR-treated endothelial cells was increased. Decreased nicotinamide but enhanced nicotinamide metabolites were noticed in 4T1 vs. control. Reduced N-methylnicotinamide and a further increase in Met2PY were observed in 4T1 + 4PYR vs. 4T1 and control. In cultured breast cancer cells, estrogen and progesterone receptor antagonists inhibited the production of 4PYR metabolites. 4PYR formation is accelerated in cancer and induces metabolic disturbances that may affect cancer progression and, especially, metastasis, probably through impaired endothelial homeostasis. 4PYR may be considered a new oncometabolite.Subject terms: Mechanisms of disease, Pathogenesis, Breast cancer 相似文献

The thermal, mechanical and electrical properties of polymeric composites combined using polythiophene (PT) dopped by FeCl3 and polyamide 6 (PA), in the aspect of conductive constructive elements for organic solar cells, depend on the molecular structure and morphology of materials as well as the method of preparing the species. This study was focused on disclosing the impact of the polythiophene content on properties of electrospun fibers. The elements for investigation were prepared using electrospinning applying two substrates. The study revealed the impact of the substrate on the conductive properties of composites. In this study composites exhibited good thermal stability, with T5 values in the range of 230–268 °C that increased with increasing PT content. The prepared composites exhibited comparable PA Tg values, which indicates their suitability for processing. Instrumental analysis of polymers and composites was carried out using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). 相似文献

C-13 and H-1 NMR spectra of some 1-(4′-dimethylaminobenzylideneamino)pyridinium perchlorates show that the angle of twist of the pyridine ring in unsubstituted, 1, and 2-alkyl substituted compounds 2–5 is comparable. However, it is considerably increased in 2,6-dialkyl derivatives. As seen from the spectral data, pyridine and phenyl rings in 2,6-diphenyl derivative 15 are not coplanar. The effect of 4-alkyl substituent is of hyperconjugative chacter. In general, the amount of the positive charge at C-4 in 2,6-dialkyl substituted salts is higher as compared to 2-monosubstituted compounds. 相似文献

Charge mosaic membranes contain a mixture of anionic and cationic elements separated by thin neutral regions. In order to maintain eloctroneutrality, the overall flux of salts from electrolytic solutions through such membranes must occur with equal transport of cationic and anionic charge. The flux rate depends on the resistivities of the exchange elements and the solution composition. It is shown that Na+ and K+ can have vastly different relative transport rates depending on the selection of the membrane formulation and the receiver composition. A comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art of the separation of various organically-bound metals and metalloids for speciation analysis is presented. Recent developments in chromatographic (gas, liquid and supercritical fluid), electrophoretic (free-flow and gel) and fractionation techniques are discussed, followed by a survey of pertinent applications to speciation analysis for organometals and metalloids.
