Cross coupling of dialkylmagnesium derivatives with allylic compounds catalyzed by copper salts

<Emphasis Type="Italic">N</Emphasis>-shaped voltage-current characteristic and current oscillations in Sm<Subscript>1−<Emphasis Type="Italic">x</Emphasis></Subscript> Sr<Subscript>x</Subscript>MnO<Subscript>3</Subscript> manganite

The voltage-current characteristics (VCC) of Sm_1?xSr_x MnO₃ samples with x=0.425 and x=0.450 were experimentally studied at a temperature of 77 K in pulsed and constant electric (E) and magnetic (H) fields up to 10 kOe for the H‖E and H⊥E orientations. N-shaped VCCs and high-frequency (up to 3 MHz) current oscillations were observed. It was found that the effect of colossal magnetoresistance had a threshold character and was smoothly reduced to zero with E→0.     

Markov Games with Several Ergodic Classes

We consider Markov games of the general form characterized by the property that, for all stationary strategies of players, the set of game states is partitioned into several ergodic sets and a transient set, which may vary depending on the strategies of players. As a criterion, we choose the mean payoff of the first player per unit time. It is proved that the general Markov game with a finite set of states and decisions of both players has a value, and both players have -optimal stationary strategies. The correctness of this statement is demonstrated on the well-known Blackwell's example (Big Match).     

Synthesis and reactions of metallocycles. 6. Stereoselective synthesis of 3,4-dialkyl-substituted aluminocyclopentanes by cyclometallation of α-olefins using trialkylalanes in the presence of Cp2ZrCl2

An efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of a new class of organoaluminum compounds, trans-3,4-dialkyl-substituted aluminocyclopentanes, via the cyclometallation of -olefins using R₃A1 in the presence of catalytic amounts of Cp₂ZrCl₂. Hydrolysis, deuterolysis, and oxidation of the resulting aluminocy-clopentanes generate the corresponding transformation products having exclusively the threo-configuration.For previous communication see [1].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 5, pp. 1141–1144, May, 1991.     

Conditions for positive definiteness of M-matrices

The present paper concentrates on conditions that are necessary and sufficient for M-matrices to be positive definite. The obtained results can be used in the analysis of productivity of the Leontief input-output model.     

Structure of vasicol

The structure of bromovasicol has been established on the basis of the results of x-ray structural analysis as 4-bromo-2-(3-hydroxy-2-oxypyrrolinomethl)aniline. Cyclo- and carbomagnesiation of 1,2-dienes catalyzed by Zr complexes

Cyclo- and carbomagnesiation of 1,2-dienes with EtMgR′ (R′=Et, Br) in the presence of Cp₂ZrCl₂ catalyst lead to alkylidenemagnesiocyclopentanes. Deuterolysis provides insights into the reaction pathways.     

Novel types of boronated chlorin e6 conjugates via ‘click chemistry’

Conjugates of chlorin e₆ with closo‐dodecaborate and cobalt bis(dicarbollide) anions were synthesized for the first time in high yields using the advanced ‘click’ methodology. In vitro study on A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells revealed that the synthesized boronated conjugates are able to penetrate and accumulate in cancer cells, but their intracellular concentration is not sufficient for effective photodynamic and boron neutron capture therapy of cancer. Synthesis of Catalyst for Hydrorefining with Domestic Raw Materials

Basic requirements to the physicochemical and texture properties of supports for hydrorefining catalysts are formulated. Methods have been developed for synthesizing supports and hydrorefining catalysts with the use of kaolin, bentonite, and regenerated zeolites.
