In this paper, the effect of quantum interference on the entanglement of a driven V-type three-level atom and its spontaneous emission field was investigated by using the quantum entropy. The results indicate that, in the absence of quantum interference the atom and its spontaneous emission field are always entangled at the steady-state. But, in the presence of full quantum interference their steady-state entanglement depends on the atomic parameters. Specifically, with appropriate atomic parameters they can be entangled or disentangled at the steady-state. We realized that the steady-state entanglement is due to completely destructive nature of quantum interference. On the contrary, the steady-state disentanglement is due to instructive nature of quantum interference. 相似文献

Simplified relations for the changes in SAW velocity and attenuation due to thin polymer coatings and vapor sorption are presented by making analytic approximations to the complex theoretical model developed earlier by Martin et al. [Anal. Chem. 66 (14) (1994) 2201–2219]. The approximate velocity relation is accurate within 4% for the film thicknesses up to 20% of the acoustic wavelength in the polymer film, and is useful for analyzing the mass loading, swelling and viscoelastic effects in SAW vapor sensors. The approximate attenuation relation is accurate within 20% for very thin films, (less than 2% of the acoustic wavelength in the film). Based on these relations, a new procedure for determination of polymer viscoelastic properties is described that exploits the frequency dependence of the velocity and attenuation perturbations, and employs multifrequency measurement on the same SAW platform. Expressions for individual contributions from the mass loading, film swelling and viscoelastic effects in SAW vapor sensors are derived, and their implications for the sensor design and operation are discussed. Also, a new SAW comb filter design is proposed that offers possibility for multimode SAW oscillator operation over a decade of frequency variation, and illustrates feasibility for experimental realization of wide bandwidth multifrequency SAW platforms. 相似文献

New multi‐stimuli responsive cationic copolymers based on N‐acryloyl‐N′‐ethyl piperazine (AcrNEP) and N‐isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) were prepared by thermal free‐radical solution polymerization in dioxane at 75 °C. The chemical composition of the copolymers was determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy and was found that the copolymers were slightly rich in NIPAM content than that of AcrNEP. The reactivity of the two monomers for the copolymerization reaction was evaluated by the extended Kelen‐Tüdös method. The distribution of monomer sequence in the copolymer chain was estimated using the terminal copolymerization model. The maximum tendency to alternation (~ 70%) was at 60 mol % of AcrNEP in the monomer feed. The copolymers were readily soluble in water at room temperature at all compositions and exhibited well‐defined lower critical solution temperature (LCST) phenomenon. The influence of various stimuli such as pH, temperature, simple inorganic salts, and surfactants on the LCST of the copolymers was studied in detail. Simple inorganic salts such as sodium chloride, sodium bromide, and sodium sulfate showed a salting‐out effect while sodium iodide showed a salting‐in effect. The salting‐out coefficient of the salts were calculated using the Sestchenow method, and the salting trend followed the order SO42? > Cl? > Br? > I?. The divalent salt was more effective in lowering the LCST than the monovalent salts. The cationic surfactant hexadecyl trimethylammonium bromide at concentrations above the critical micelle concentration caused a gradual increase in the LCST of the copolymer solutions. Comprehensive management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) using vaginal or rectal microbicide-based intervention is one of the strategies for prevention of HIV infection. Herbal products have been used for treating STIs traditionally. Herein, we present in vitro activity of 10 plant extracts and their 34 fractions against three sexually transmitted/reproductive tract pathogens – Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Haemophilus ducreyi and Candida albicans. The plant parts were selected; the extracts/fractions were prepared and screened by disc diffusion method. The minimum inhibitory and minimum cidal concentrations were determined. The qualitative phytochemical analysis of selected extracts/fractions showing activity was performed. Of the extracts/fractions tested, three inhibited C. albicans, ten inhibited N. gonorrhoeae and five inhibited H. ducreyi growth. Our study demonstrated that Terminalia paniculata Roth. extracts/fractions inhibited growth of all three organisms. The ethyl acetate fraction of Syzygium cumini Linn. and Bridelia retusa (L.) Spreng. extracts was found to inhibit N. gonorrhoeae at lowest concentrations. 相似文献

New hydrogels based on N-acryloyl-N′-ethylpiperazine (AcrNEP) and N,N-methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) were prepared by thermal initiated solution polymerization. The hydrogels swelled extensively in buffer solutions of low pH due to protonation of the amine functions of the monomers, while the swelling was less significant in buffer solutions of high pH. The increased swelling of the gel in low pH is due to the development and interaction of fixed charges within the gel network. As a result of the electrostatic repulsion between the charges the elastic constraint of the gel is modified which leads to pronounced swelling and hence to high water uptake. Water transport in the hydrogel both in buffer solutions of pH 2.6 and pH 8.4 was non-Fickian due to polymer relaxation (anomalous process). The gels demonstrated good uptake of divalent metal ions such as Ni2+, Co2+, and Zn2+, with high selectivity for Ni2+ ions due to the formation of a more stable ligand-metal complex. The metal uptake capacity increased with increase in pH of the solution, while an increase in the crosslinker amount of the hydrogel reduced its metal uptake capacity. In the presence of metal ions the swelling of the hydrogel reduced considerably due to the formation of additional physical crosslinks within the hydrogel network. The metal ion loaded hydrogels could be stripped and regenerated with 1 M sulfuric acid without any loss in swelling or metal uptake capacities. 相似文献
