Some Remarks on Left-Definite Hamiltonian Systems in the Regular Case

In the paper, a new method of constructing asymptotic solutions of differential equations on manifolds with singularities is presented. This method allows not only to widen essentially the space of asymptotics but also to obtain explicit formulas for asymptotic expansions, in particular, in the case when in a neighborhood of a singular point there exist strata of different dimensions.     

Positron-lifetime study of vacancy annealing in neutron-irradiated GaAs

Positron-lifetime measurements have been used to study the annealing of vacancies in neutron-irradiated GaAs. The vacancies which are interpreted as defects in the Ga sublattice disappear in a single annealing stage (at 500°C in GaAs doped with Si or Zn, and at 600°C in Cr-doped GaAs).     

Depth profiling of latex blends of fluorinated and fluorine‐free acrylates with laser‐induced secondary mass spectrometry

We explored phase separation and self‐assembly of perfluoroalkyl segments at the surface of polymer films obtained from latices of semifluorinated acrylate copolymers and the corresponding latex blends of nonfluorinated and semifluorinated polyacrylates. With laser‐induced secondary mass spectrometry the fluorine distribution was measured after annealing above the minimum film‐forming temperature of the polymers up to a depth of several micrometers. Depth profiles of a semifluorinated acrylate homopolymer and latex blends thereof with fluorine‐free alkylacrylates with 25, 50, and 75 mol % semifluorinated acrylate as well as a copolymer comprised of alkyl acrylate and semifluorinated acrylate (50/50 mol %) were investigated. In the case of latex blends containing both semifluorinated polyacrylates and fluorine‐free or low‐fluorine polymers, self‐assembly accounted for enrichment of the perfluoroalkyl segments at the surface. We derive several properties that an extremal code must satisfy, and we characterize the extremal codes for equiprobable source states as arising from symmetric balanced incomplete block designs. Meromorphic extensions of regular holonomic distributions

In this paper we consider distributions of the form 1/P and dy/P(x,y), whereP is a polynomial. Using results by Kashiwara and Kawai we give fairly accessible proofs that these expressions can be defined as regular holonomic distributions by utilising a meromorphic parameter. We also discuss distributions of the form /P and their direct image , when one knows that is a regular holonomic distribution. All these distributions are relevant to the study of renormalised Feynman integrals.
