Organometallic reactions of α-haloimines as a useful tool in organic synthesis

The reaction of organometallic reagents, e.g. alkyllithiums, cuprates and alkylcoppers, with α-haloimines gave selectively a variety of synthetically useful reactions, including coupling to 1,4-diimines, homologation, and production of heterocycles.     

Extraction du titane(IV) d'une phase aqueuse chlorhydrique par des mélanges de thénoyltrifluoroacétone—tri-n-butylphosphate et d'oxyde de tri-n-butylphosphine en solution dans le 1,2-dichloroethane

The extraction of titanium(IV) from hydrochloric acid solutions by thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) in the presence of tributylphosphate (TBP) or tri-n-butylphosphine oxide (TBPO) was studied in 1,2 dichloroethane. It is shown that there is a synergic effect because of the formation of a 1:1:1 HTTA—TBP (or TBPO)—Ti(IV) complex. The apparent stability constants of these complexes increase with the acidity of the aqueous phase.     

On semianalytic subsets of rigid analytic varieties

We show some topological properties of semianalytic subsets of rigid analytic varieties: curve selection lemma, the closure of a semianalytic subsetS is semianalytic, for every quasi-compact morphismf. As an application we show that a morphismf: X Y of rigid analytic varieties is open at a pointx X if and only if SpecO _X,x SpecO _Y,f(x) is surjective.

Transformation of acridines and azepines into the corresponding 3-oxo-heterocycles by means of hypervalent aromatic iodine compounds

Summary The acridines3,5, and6, as well as the dibenzo[b,f]-azepine4 were converted into the 3-oxo-derivatives7–10 using hypervalent iodine compounds (iodosylbenzene and bis-(trifluoroacetoxy)iodopentafluorobenzene).

Zusammenfassung Die Acridine3,5 und6 sowie das Dibenzo[b,f]azepin4 wurden mit Hilfe der beiden hypervalenten Jod-Verbindungen Jodosobenzol (1) und Bis-trifluoroacetoxyiodbenzol (2) zu den entsprechenden 3-Acridinonen7,9 und10 sowie zum Dibenzoazepin-3-on8 oxidiert.
