On decomposition of r-partite graphs into edge-disjoint hamilton circuits

Let K(n;r) denote the complete r-partite graph K(n, n,…, n). It is shown here that for all even n(r ? 1) ? 2, K(n;r) is the union of $\text{n(r ? 1)}\text{2}$ of its Hamilton circuits which are mutually edge-disjoint, and for all odd n(r ? 1) ? 1, K(n;r) is the union of $\text{(n(r ? 1) ? 1)}\text{2}$ of its Hamilton circuits and a 1-factor, all of which are mutually edge-disjoint.     

Low-temperature synthetic method for size-controlled CdSe nanocrystals: utilization of boron selenide

By employing B(2)Se(3) as a selenium source, we demonstrate that at reaction temperatures as low as 60 [degree]C, relatively monodisperse, fluorescent CdSe nanocrystals can be conveniently prepared in various sizes selected from 2 to 13 nm.

A strategy to access fused triazoloquinoline and related nucleoside analogues

Fused triazoloquinolines have been prepared starting from (E)-3-(2-nitrophenyl)-1-aryl-prop-2-en-1-ones and sugar or benzyl azides in a sequential [3+2] cycloaddition reaction, followed by one pot Pd–C assisted reduction, cyclization and aromatization. The triazolyl fused quinolines with N¹-glycosyl substituents as unnatural nucleosides have inherent potential to generate a library of compounds for bioevaluations.     

Demonstration of a thick holographic Stokesmeter

A holographic Stokesmeter has the potential to be useful in high-speed polarization imaging applications. Highly polarization-sensitive gratings are an important component for this device. Using two sets of multiplexed gratings, we measured the Stokes parameters for three different polarization states of an input beam. These measured values compared well to values measured using the quarter-wave plate/linear polarizer method. This establishes the feasibility of such a Stokesmeter in its original configuration. We demonstrate further the basic mechanism behind a compact architecture for this device, requiring only a single substrate and a single imaging system, and describe a spectrally scanned polarimetric imaging system.
