Crystallized 4,7‐diphyenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline (BPhen) films deposited by convenient vacuum thermal evaporation technique have been found to be an efficient means to extract the substrate wave guided light in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). The optimized BPhen film working as organic scattering layer was successfully used with OLEDs for light outcoupling efficiency improvement. Enhancement of 26%, 15% and 6% in efficiency of the blue, green and red OLEDs were obtained, respectively. The achievement was found to be advantageous in terms of simplicity of fabrication method and feasibility for large area OLED applications. (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. A stability analysis of a non-linear prey-predator system under the influence of one dimensional diffusion has been investigated to determine the nature of the bifurcation point of the system. The non-liner bifurcation analysis determining the steady state solution beyond the critical point enables us to determine characteristic features of the spatial inhomogeneous pattern arising out of the bifurcation of the state of the system.  相似文献

The syntheses in good yields of some new difunctionalized 1,8-naphthyridines 4, 6, 8 and 9 and a novel triethylene glycol ether-linked dinaphthyridine, 10a, along with the mononaphthyridine-linked ether alcohol 10b are described. This paper presents the isotope hydrochemical results of groundwaters from southwest Punjab for assessing the uranium contamination and evaluating the factors leading to elevated uranium concentration. A total of 35 samples covering shallow and deep zones were collected for hydrochemistry and isotopes. Uranium concentration ranges between 2.3 and 357 µg L?1 and 66% of the samples are contaminated. Both shallow and deep zones show U contamination but high incidences are noticed in shallow zone. Hydrochemical correlations infer geological sources rather than anthropogenic sources responsible for U contamination. Isotopically there is no clear distinction between high and low U groundwater.  相似文献

Hemicellulose extracted from wood prior to processing the wood into paper or composite materials can be a resource for the production of biofuels or bioproducts. Mixed microbial cultures are capable of converting biomass into mixed carboxylic acids, which can be purified as products or converted to biofuels or other biochemicals. Mixed cultures are robust conversion systems and do not require added enzymes to hydrolyze biomass to sugars. We produced mixed carboxylic acids using mesophilic and thermophilic fermentation of raw, unconditioned green liquor and hot water hardwood extracts, as well as baseline sugar solutions. Daily samples were taken from the fermentations and analyzed for composition, pH, and gas volume. The extract digestions were capable of hydrolyzing oligomeric hemicellulose without supplemental enzymes and converting all types of released sugars. Lactic acid was prominent in lower pH systems and acetic acid, the main product at more neutral pH. Compared to thermophilic systems, mesophilic fermentations had higher hydrolysis conversion, carbohydrate conversion, acid yields, and selectivity for C3–C7 acids. Carbon balances on the wood extracts closed to within ±9%. Methane production in all cases was essentially zero.  相似文献

In the present paper, a mathematical model, originally proposed by Danziger and Elmergreen and describing the thyroid-pituitary homeostatic mechanism, is modified and analyzed for its physiological and clinical significance. The inuence of different system parameters on the stability behavior of the system is discussed. The transportation delays of different hormones in the bloodstream, both in the discrete and distributed forms, are considered. Delayed models are analyzed regarding the stability and bifurcation behavior. Clinical treatment of periodic catatonic schizophrenia is discussed in presence of transportation delays. Hybrid organic–inorganic light emitting devices combine the color purity and durability of inorganic light emitting diodes (LEDs) with high efficiency, flexibility and low processing cost of organic LEDs (OLEDs). A significant challenge is to incorporate inorganic nanocrystals inside the OLED structure. In the present work, thin films of CdS were successfully incorporated inside standard OLED structure using vacuum thermal evaporation technique. For the characterization of these films, they were deposited on plain glass plates at room temperature and studied using structural (XRD and TEM), morphological (SEM and AFM) and optical (UV and PL) techniques. The films were found to be composed of nanocrystals of CdS in which the size of the crystals increased with the increase in film thickness. The hybrid organic–inorganic LEDs showed improved luminance and efficiency as compared to the organic LED without CdS layers.  相似文献

The synthesis of fused isoquinolines from N-benzyl protected indoles and pyrroles is described. For example, treatment of t-butyl-2-(2-formyl-3,4-dihydro-1-naphthalenyl)-3-methyl-1H-indole-1-carboxylate with KOBut in DMF provided 14-methyl-8-phenylbenzo[h]indolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline in good yield. Analogous N-benzylpyrrole precursors could similarly be cyclized to give pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines.  相似文献
