We study a subspace of General Gauge Mediation (GGM) models which generalize models of gauge mediation. We find superpartner spectra that are markedly different from those of typical gauge and gaugino mediation scenarios. While typical gauge mediation predictions of either a neutralino or stau next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP) are easily reproducible with the GGM parameters, chargino and sneutrino NLSPs are generic for many reasonable choices of GGM parameters.  相似文献

Diels Alder reactivity of corannulene has been probed using density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP/6‐31G* level by employing it both as a diene and a dienophile in cycloaddition with ethylene and 1,3‐butadiene as typical partners. Computations reveal that corannulene acts better as a dienophile than as a diene and as a dienophile it undergoes normal electron demand type addition with 1,3‐butadiene, and as a diene corannulene undergoes inverse electron demand type addition with ethylene. When employed as a dienophile the addition takes place preferentially in the rim position than in the spoke position due to strong steric and electronic reasons. Further in the rim addition rim exo approach is favored kinetically and thermodynamically. As a diene, corannulene shows regioselectivity for rim–spoke addition over spoke–spoke addition. Concerted type cycloadditions have been studied and the reactions are seen to take place preferentially on the convex face. The effect of substituents in butadiene on the reactivity and the reaction of butadiene–pentaindenocorannulene (an extended corannulene) system has been investigated for the most favorable rim exo positions. Starting with the assumption that the triple-pomeronchukon-vertex vanishes when all three pomeronchukons have zero mass, we show that in the absence of pionization, total cross sections would fall at least logarithmically with energy, while the mean multiplicity would approach a constant. Several reasons are presented to suggest that some pionization must occur and that, otherwise, limiting fragmentation itself would vanish. A secondary result, that the P-P-P′ coupling will also vanish in certain regions, is also proved.  相似文献

We demonstrate the phenomenon stated in the title, using for illustration a two-dimensional scalar-field model with a triple-well potential {fx837-1}. At the classical level, this system supports static topological solitons with finite energy. Upon quantisation, however, these solitons develop infinite energy, which cannot be renormalised away. Thus this quantised model has no soliton sector, even though classical solitons exist. Finally when the model is extended supersymmetrically by adding a Majorana field, finiteness of the soliton energy is recovered.  相似文献

The syntheses, structures and magnetic properties of three new MnIII clusters, [Mn26O17(OH)8(OMe)4F10(bta)22(MeOH)14(H2O)2] (1), [Mn(0O6(OH)2(bta)8(py)8F8] (2) and [NHEt3]2[Mn3O(bta)6F3] (3), are reported (bta=anion of benzotriazole), thereby demonstrating the utility of MnF3 as a new synthon in Mn cluster chemistry. The "melt" reaction (100 degrees C) between MnF(3) and benzotriazole (btaH, C6H5N3) under an inert atmosphere, followed by dissolution in MeOH produces the cluster [Mn26O17(OH)8(OMe)4F10(bta)22(MeOH)14(H2O)2] (1) after two weeks. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1, and consists of a complicated array of metal tetrahedra linked by mu3-O2- ions, mu3- and mu2-OH- ions, mu2-MeO- ions and mu2-bta- ligands. The "simpler" reaction between MnF3 and btaH in boiling MeOH (50 degrees C) also produces complex 1. If this reaction is repeated in the presence of pyridine, the decametallic complex [Mn10O6(OH)2(bta)8(py)8F8] (2) is produced. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 and consists of a "supertetrahedral" [Mn(III)10] core bridged by six mu3-O2- ions, two mu3-OH- ions, four mu2-F- ions and eight mu2-bta- ions. The replacement of pyridine by triethylamine in the same reaction scheme produces the trimetallic species [NHEt3]2[Mn3O(bta)6F3] (3). Complex 3 crystallises in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c and has a structure analogous to that of the basic metal carboxylates of general formula [M3O(RCO2)6L3]0/+, which consists of an oxo-centred metal triangle with mu2-bta- ligands bridging each edge of the triangle and the fluoride ions acting as the terminal ligands. DC magnetic susceptibility measurements in the 300-1.8 K and 0.1-7 T ranges were investigated for all three complexes. For each, the value of chi(M)T decreases with decreasing temperatures; this indicates the presence of dominant antiferromagnetic exchange interactions in 1-3. For complex 1, the low-temperature value of chi(M)T is 10 cm(3) K mol(-1) and fitting of the magnetisation data gives S=4, g=2.0 and D=-0.90 cm(-1). For complex 2, the value of chi(M)T falls to a value of approximately 5.0 cm(3) K mol(-1) at 1.8 K, which is consistent with a small spin ground state. For the triangular complex 3, the best fit to the experimental chi(M)T versus T data was obtained for the following parameters: Ja = -5.01 cm(-1), Jb = +9.16 cm(-1) and g=2.00, resulting in an S=2 spin ground state. DFT calculations on 3, however, suggest an S=1 or S=0 ground state with J(a)=-2.95 cm(-1) and J(b)=-2.12 cm(-1). AC susceptibility measurements performed on 1 in the 1.8-4.00 K range show the presence of out-of-phase AC susceptibility signals, but no peaks. Low-temperature single-crystal studies performed on 1 on an array of micro-SQUIDS show the time- and temperature-dependent hysteresis loops indicative of single-molecule magnetism behaviour.  相似文献

The reaction of the hexacyanometalates K3[M(1)(CN)6] (M(1) = Cr(III), Fe(III), Co(III)) with the bispidine complexes [M(2)(L(1))(X)](n+) and [M(2)(L(2))(X)](n+) (M(2) = Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II); L(1) = 3-methyl-9-oxo-2,4-di-(2-pyridyl)-7-(2-pyridylmethyl)-3,7-diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-1,5-dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester; L(2) = 3-methyl-9-oxo-7-(2-pyridylmethyl)-2,4-di-(2-quinolyl)-3,7-diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-1,5-dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester; X = anion or solvent) in water-methanol mixtures affords trinuclear complexes with cis- or trans-arrangement of the bispidine-capped divalent metal centers around the hexacyanometalate. X-ray structural analyses of five members of this family of complexes (cis-Fe[CuL(2)]2, trans-Fe[CuL(1)]2, cis-Co[CuL(2)]2, trans-Cr[MnL(1)]2, trans-Fe[MnL(1)]2) and the magnetic data of the entire series are reported. The magnetic data of the cyanide bridged, ferromagnetically coupled cis- and trans-Fe[ML]2 compounds (M = Ni(II), Cu(II)) with S = 3/2 (Cu(II)) and S = 5/2 (Ni(II)) ground states are analyzed with an extended Heisenberg Hamiltonian which accounts for anisotropy and zero-field splitting, and the data of the Cu(II) systems, for which structures are available, are thoroughly analyzed in terms of an orbital-dependent Heisenberg Hamiltonian, in which both spin-orbit coupling and low-symmetry ligand fields are taken into account. It is shown that the absence of single-molecule magnetic behavior in all spin clusters reported here is due to a large angular distortion of the [Fe(CN)6](3-) center and the concomitant quenching of orbital angular momentum of the Fe(III) ((2)T2g) ground state.  相似文献

Mechanistic pathways for the aromatic hydroxylation by [CuII(L1)(TMAO)(O)](-) (L1=hippuric acid, TMAO=trimethylamine N-oxide), derived from the O--N bond homolysis of its [CuII(L1)(TMAO)2] precursor, were explored by using hybrid density functional theory (B3LYP) and highly correlated ab initio methods (QCISD and CCSD). Published experimental studies suggest that the catalytic reaction is triggered by a terminal copper-oxo species, and a detailed study of electronic structures, bonding, and energetics of the corresponding electromers is presented. Two pathways, a stepwise and a concerted reaction, were considered for the hydroxylation process. The results reveal a clear preference for the concerted pathway, in which the terminal oxygen atom directly attacks the carbon atom of the benzene ring, leading to the ortho-selectively hydroxylated product. Solvent effects were probed by using the PCM and CPCM solvation models, and the PCM model was found to perform better in the present case. Excellent agreement between the experimental and computational results was found, in particular also for changes in reactivity with derivatives of L1.  相似文献

A modular approach for the synthesis of isolable crystalline Schlenk hydrocarbon diradicals from m-phenylene bridged electron-rich bis-triazaalkenes as synthons is reported. EPR spectroscopy confirms their diradical nature and triplet electronic structure by revealing a half-field signal. A computational analysis confirms the triplet state to be the ground state. As a proof-of-principle for the modular methodology, the 4,6-dimethyl-m-phenylene was further utilized as a coupling unit between two alkene motifs. The steric conjunction of the 4,6-dimethyl groups substantially twists the substituents at the nonbonding electron bearing centers relative to the central coupling m-phenylene motif. As a result, the spin delocalization is decreased and the exchange coupling between the two unpaired spins, hence, significantly reduced. Notably, 108 years after Schlenk's m-phenylene-bis(diphenylmethyl) synthesis as a diradical, for the first time we were able to isolate its derivative with the same spacer, i.e. m-phenylene, between two radical centers in a crystalline form.  相似文献
