Previous works on single bubble sonoluminescence in sulfuric acid solutions have stressed the fact that the sonoluminescence (SL) emissions are the highest ever found, but at the same time the bubble moves in orbits. We have fixed the SL bubble spatially and at the same time we have reached higher SL emissions using another harmonic acoustic signal to produce the acoustic excitation. Multiple harmonic excitation produces up to a fourfold increase in SL emissions, reaching the peak value of about 40 microW for a moving bubble and 15 microW for a nonmoving bubble. The ability to have a bright stationary bubble also opens new research opportunities. In particular, we develop a new method to measure the absolute radius evolution of the bubble that exploits this stability.  相似文献

We describe the synthesis of a series of covalently linked dimers of quadrupolar curcuminoid-BF2 dyes and the detailed investigation of their solvent-dependent spectroscopic and photophysical properties. In solvents of low polarity, intramolecular folding induces the formation of aggregated chromophores, the UV/Vis absorption spectra of which display the optical signature characteristic of weakly-coupled H-aggregates. The extent of folding and, in turn, of ground-state aggregation is strongly dependent on the nature of the flexible linker. Steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence emission spectroscopies show that the Frenkel exciton relaxes into a fluorescent symmetrical excimer state with a long lifetime. Furthermore, our in-depth studies show that a weakly emitting excimer lies on the pathway toward a photocyclomer. Two-dimensional 1H NMR spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) allowed the structure of the photoproduct to be established. To our knowledge, this represents the first example of a [2π+2π] photodimerization of the curcuminoid chromophore.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a non-trivial link between Baskakov type operators and their genuine Durrmeyer type modification as well as the kth order Kantorovich variant. Recursion formulas for the moments and the images of monomials are proved in order to derive asymptotic expansions. The influence of the use of the generalized Hermite polynomial on the Hermite-based lattice Bofiz- mann (LB) construction approach, lattice sets, the thermal weights, moments and the equilibrium distribution function (EDF) are addressed. A new moment system is proposed. In this paper we study the properties of the homology of different geometric filtered complexes (such as Vietoris–Rips, ?ech and witness complexes) built on top of totally bounded metric spaces. Using recent developments in the theory of topological persistence, we provide simple and natural proofs of the stability of the persistent homology of such complexes with respect to the Gromov–Hausdorff distance. We also exhibit a few noteworthy properties of the homology of the Rips and ?ech complexes built on top of compact spaces.  相似文献

The stability of large precessional magnetization motions induced by spin-polarized currents in spin-transfer nano-oscillators is discussed. Quantitative analytical predictions are obtained for the critical values of spin-polarized injected current and external magnetic field at which the oscillator magnetization precession becomes unstable. It is shown that the mechanism leading to instability is parametric resonance of well-defined pairs of magnetostatically coupled perturbation modes. The amplitude of these modes grows to large non-thermal values when the oscillator frequency matches the mean of the natural frequencies of the two coupled modes. Analytical predictions are obtained for the space-time structure and symmetry of the magnetization patterns that are formed at the instability. Analytical results are compared with numerical simulations of spin-transfer-driven magnetization dynamics.  相似文献
