The interfacing study of biopolymer and supramolecular chemistry enables a better understanding of fundamental biochemical processes and the creating of new high-performance biomaterials. In this review, we introduced an “in vivo self-assembly” strategy which means in situ construction of functional self-assembled superstructures in specific physiological or pathological conditions in cell, tissue or animal levels that exhibit diverse biomedical effects. By using this strategy, unexpected phenomena and insights, e.g, assembly/aggregation induced retention (AIR) effect have been demonstrated where the self-assembled nanostructures showed extraordinary enhanced accumulation and retention of therapeutics in targeted sites. 相似文献

The silica nanoparticle (SiO2 NP)-deposited capillary fabricated by liquid phase deposition (LPD) was bonded by 3-(triethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate and then modified with poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) by polymerization. The resulting PNIPAAm modified SiO2 NP-deposited capillary was applied to in-tube solid-phase microextraction coupled to high-performance liquid chromatography (in-tube SPME-HPLC). To investigate the extraction performance of the prepared capillary, diethylstilbestrol (DES) with moderate polarity was selected as the model analyte. Results demonstrate that PNIPAAm modified SiO2 NP-deposited capillary exhibited obvious temperature responsive character. Finally, the PNIPAAm modified SiO2 NP-deposited capillary was applied to the analysis of three synthetical estrogens from milk samples. The detection limit of the method was found to be in the range 1.2-2.2 ng/g, and recovery was 71.7-98.9% with relative standard deviations in the range of 2.8-12.6%. 相似文献

Catechol adsorbed on TiO2 is one of the simplest models to explore the relevant properties of dye-sensitized solar cells. However, the effects of water and defects on the electronic levels and the excitonic properties of the catechol/TiO2 interface have been rarely explored. Here, we investigate four catechol/TiO2 interfaces aiming to study the influence of coverage, water, and defects on the electronic levels and the excitonic properties of the catechol/TiO2 interface through the first-principles many-body Green's function theory. We find that the adsorption of catechol on the rutile (110) surface increases the energies of both the TiO2 valence band maximum and conduction band minimum by approximately 0.7 eV. The increasing coverage and the presence of water can reduce the optical absorption of charge-transfer excitons with maximum oscillator strength. Regarding the reduced hydroxylated TiO2 substrate, the conduction band minimum decreases greatly, resulting in a sub-bandgap of 2.51 eV. The exciton distributions in the four investigated interfaces can spread across several unit cells, especially for the hydroxylated TiO2 substrate. Although the hydroxylated TiO2 substrate leads to a lower open-circuit voltage, it may increase the separation between photogenerated electrons and holes and may therefore be beneficial for improving the photovoltaic efficiency by controlling its concentration. COVID-19 caused by SARS-COV-2 is continuing to surge globally. The spike (S) protein is the key protein of SARS-COV-2 that recognizes and binds to the host target ACE2. In this study, molecular dynamics simulation was used to elucidate the allosteric effect of the S protein. Binding of ACE2 caused a centripetal movement of the receptor-binding domain of the S protein. The dihedral changes in Phe329 and Phe515 played a key role in this process. Two potential cleavage sites S1/S2 and S2′ were exposed on the surface after the binding of ACE2. The binding affinity of SARS-COV-2 S protein and ACE2 was higher than that of SARS-COV. This was mainly due to the mutation of Asp480 in SARS-COV to Ser494 in SARS-COV-2, which greatly weakened the electrostatic repulsion. The result provides a theoretical basis for the SARS-COV-2 infection and aids the development of biosensors and detection reagents. 相似文献
