In this paper, a multiple-objective linear problem is derived from a zero-sum multicriteria matrix game. It is shown that the set of efficient solutions of this problem coincides with the set of Paretooptimal security strategies (POSS) for one of the players in the original game. This approach emphasizes the existing similarities between the scalar and multicriteria matrix games, because in both cases linear programming can be used to solve the problems. It also leads to different scalarizations which are alternative ways to obtain the set of all POSS. The concept of ideal strategy for a player is introduced, and it is established that a pair of Pareto saddle-point strategies exists if both players have ideal strategies. Several examples are included to illustrate the results in the paper.  相似文献

The planar point-objective location problem has attracted considerable interest among Location Theory researchers. The result has been a number of papers giving properties or algorithms for particular instances of the problem. However, most of these results are only valid when the feasible region where the facility is to be located is the whole space 2, which is a rather inaccurate approximation in many real world location problems.In this paper, the feasible region is allowed to be any closed, not necessarily convex, setS in 2. The special structure of this nonconvex vector-optimization problem is exploited, leading to a geometrical resolution procedure when the feasible regionS can be decomposed into a finite number of (not necessarily disjoint) polyhedra.  相似文献

Pure goethite particles in the nanometer size range (from approximately 200 to approximately 80 nm) with an elongated shape (axial ratio from approximately 5 to approximately 8) useful as iron precursors for magnetic recording have been prepared by oxidation of the suspensions resulting from the addition of sodium carbonate to Fe(II) sulfate aqueous solutions under a restrictive set of experimental conditions (Fe(II) concentration, carbonate/Fe(II) mole ratio, temperature, and air flow rate). In all cases, the goethite particles were formed by a dissolution-recrystallization mechanism through an intermediate green-rust phase. The particle size was determined by the carbonate/Fe(II) ratio (which controls the formation pH), the FeSO(4) concentration, and the air flow rate. The smallest particles (length 80 nm) were obtained for a high carbonate/Fe(II) mole ratio (>/=3), a low Fe(II) concentration (0.075 mol dm(-3)), and an air flow rate of 2 dm(3) min(-1). The goethite particles were also characterized by the electron diffraction and high-resolution TEM finding that they were monocrystalline, having the crystalline c axis parallel to the longest particle dimension.  相似文献

We give an explicit PDE characterization for the solution of the problemof maximizing the utility of both terminal wealth and intertemporal consumption undermodel uncertainty. The underlying market model consists of a risky asset, whosevolatility and long-term trend are driven by an external stochastic factor process. Therobust utility functional is defined in terms of a HARA utility function with risk aversionparameter 0 < α < 1 and a dynamically consistent coherent risk measure, whichallows for model uncertainty in the distributions of both the asset price dynamics andthe factor process. Ourmethod combines recent results by Wittmüß (Robust optimizationof consumption with random endowment, 2006) on the duality theory of robustoptimization of consumption with a stochastic control approach to the dual problemof determining a ‘worst-case martingale measure’.  相似文献

In this paper we analyze how to improve the benefits of n producers when: (1) each producer i faces a linear production problem given by max {ci xi:Ai xibi,xi 0}, and (2) maintaining the production capabilities of each producer is mandatory. In order to maximize the benefits, the producers decide to trade their resources while ensuring their initial individual gains. α-Amino nitrile compounds have a profound impact on bio-chemical sciences, as they have been prepared from inexpensive starting materials and have become valuable intermediates in the chemical synthesis of vitally important heterocyclic and carbocyclic molecules, which serve as suitable models in pharmacological and biological research. The α-amino nitrile moiety has been found in the structure of different alkaloids, while the α-amidoacetonitrile group is an essential fragment of new anti-hyperglycemic drugs and promising pharmacological and agrochemical agents. Due to their synthetic, biological and practical importance, this review highlights the recent information about the preparation of α-amino nitriles through the Strecker-type and α-cyanation reactions, their chemical and biological properties, as well as their synthetic application, paying attention on the wonderful capacity for generating novel molecular diversity for pharmacological, biological and agrochemical researches, which ends with the total synthesis of complex alkaloids, preparation of new N-heterocycles and α-aminonitrile-containing drugs. Analyzing modern synthetic protocols for the Strecker-type reactions and cyanation reactions based on cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDD) process, the advantages and disadvantages of new catalysts and green reaction conditions are also discussed. In addition, remarkable biological properties of α-amidoacetonitrile derivatives as potent and selective protease inhibitors as well as promising pesticidal agents were briefly reviewed. In this paper we discuss the multicriteria p-facility median location problem on networks with positive and negative weights. We assume that the demand is located at the nodes and can be different for each criterion under consideration. The goal is to obtain the set of Pareto-optimal locations in the graph and the corresponding set of non-dominated objective values. To that end, we first characterize the linearity domains of the distance functions on the graph and compute the image of each linearity domain in the objective space. The lower envelope of a transformation of all these images then gives us the set of all non-dominated points in the objective space and its preimage corresponds to the set of all Pareto-optimal solutions on the graph. For the bicriteria 2-facility case we present a low order polynomial time algorithm. Also for the general case we propose an efficient algorithm, which is polynomial if the number of facilities and criteria is fixed.  相似文献
