In the present work zinc ferrite nanoparticles of different crystallite size were irradiated with 200 MeV Ag15+ ion beam. The structural and magnetic characterization performed for these samples indicate the presence of size dependent irradiation induced changes in the nanoparticles. The superparamgnetic nanoparticles do not alter their behavior after irradiation; however paramagnetic samples exhibit weak ferrimagnetism in the irradiated specimen. Results obtained from these measurements are in agreement with results obtained from the electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy.  相似文献

Simultaneous ionization and excitation of helium by electron impact is considered in an improved second Born approximation. The wave function of the low energy ejected electron is obtained in the field of residual He+ ion in 2s-state. The calculation has been done for the processe +He→e +He+(2s)+e in the coplanar asymmetric geometry with Hartree-Fock wave function of Byron and Joachain for the helium ground state and the results are compared with the absolute experimental data of Dupreet al [J. Phys. B25, 259 (1992)] at ∼ 5.5 keV incident energy. Our results are found to increase the ratio of the recoil peak to binary peak intensity by about 30% over the first Born results and thus to bring it closer to the experimental data.  相似文献

Absolute concentrations of all important chemiluminescent species, OH–A, CH–A, CH–B, and C2-d have been measured for the first time in methane-oxygen flames at low pressure. The optical detection system for chemiluminescence measurements has been calibrated with Rayleigh and Raman scattering of a cw laser, with the latter approach yielding superior results. The measured ratio between the concentration of CH–B and CH–A suggests that the electronically excited CH* is formed close to thermal equilibrium. Introduction of different rate constants for reactions leading to CH–A and CH–B were not necessary to explain the experimental results. Results are compared with a recent numerical model. Deviations in profile shape and peak positions are relatively small for stoichiometric flames, but become more pronounced in richer mixtures. Larger discrepancies are observed for the absolute concentrations, depending on the chemiluminescent species and the stoichiometry. In an attempt to find an alternative method for the quantification of chemiluminescent species, MIR-CRDS has been performed around 3.9 μm. While H2O and OH–X could be measured, the sensitivity was not high enough to detect the low sub-ppb concentration of OH–A—in part due to the limited reflectivity of mirrors in the MIR, in part due to a significant background of hot H2O lines.  相似文献

In this paper the distribution of the likelihood ratio test for testing the reality of the covariance matrix of a complex multivariate normal distribution is investigated. Some simplifications in the noncentral distribution are made and the noncentral distribution is derived for the special case where the rank of the noncentrality matrix is two. In the null case exact expressions for the distribution are given up to p = 6, and percentage points are tabulated. These percentage points were compared with percentage points derived from an asymptotic expansion of the distribution, and the accuracy of the approximation was found to be sufficient for several practical situations.  相似文献

One and two neutron transfer has been measured in the heaviest asymmetric nuclear system with semi magic nuclei showing superfluid properties, in 206Pb+118Sn collisions at an energy well below the Coulomb barrier with scattering orbits covering the largest angles. Particle-γ coincidence techniques using 5 Euroball-Cluster detectors (EB) combined in a set-up with the Heidelberg-Darmstadt NaI-Crystal Ball (CB) have been used. Transfer channels are identified with EB via their known γ-decays of the lowest excited states. Using the unique feature of the set-up with the CB, transfer to well defined final states with known quantum numbers (without feeding) are selected using the high efficiency multiplicity filter of the CB (no second γ-ray). The data are analysed using the semiclassical approach and transfer probabilities are obtained. The enhancement for the two-neutron transfer populating the low lying superfluid 2+ state in 120Sn (and 116Sn), while the Pb-branch is in the groundstate is deduced by comparison with the strongest single neutron transfer transition. Large enhancements (EF ≃ 103) are observed. This is the first direct measurement of enhancement for a heavy nuclear binary system with experimentally separated levels suggesting a strong contribution from superfluid pair transfer.
