Recently, Nakashima and Sousa have reported2 a scheme for the generation of laser3 pulses consisting of several wavelengths in the visible, which are rather widely separated spectrally, but ovelap spatially and temporally4. In their scheme (ref. 2), several cells-each containing a distinct dye solution - were placed in tandem and were pumped from one side with a focussed N2 laser (337.1 nm) beam. Under these conditions each dye solution lased in its distinct wavelength and, by careful alighment of the dye cells, the emissions could be spatially superimosed to produce a single multi-wavelength laser pulse. 相似文献

Abstract EPR absorption measurements on ‘pure’, highly pure and A12O3 doped Cr2O3 powder have been made. The EPR absorption in the ‘pure’ powders obtained below Ntel temperature is shown to be due to background magnetic impurities present in the powders and not due to superparamagnetism as suggested by earlier authors. No EPR absorption could be observed below Nkl temperature in highly pure powders (total background impurity concentration less than 5 ppm). ‘Pure’ powders or highly pure powders mixed with A12O3 powder and annealed at high temperatures showed a symmetrical EPR absorption line at room temperature. The shape and the g value of this line are practically the same as those obtained for Cr3+ ions in Cr2O3 above Nee1 temperature or in other nonmagnetic crystals. It is concluded from these results that the impurities diffuse into Cr2O3 powder, the antiferro-magnetic coupling between some of the Cr3+ ions is broken and these Cr3+ ions become paramagnetic, even when the bulk of the material is in antiferromagnetic state. The variation of half-width of EPR lines with impurity concentration shows that the dipolar coupling between Cr3+ ions decreases with the increase in impurity concentration and when the impurity concentration is high the Néel temperature seems to shift to lower temperatures. A longer heat treatment of the ‘pure’ B powder resulted in the production of shining metal particles in the powder. The EPR of this powder showed excessive increase in the intensity of EPR absorption when the temperature of the powder was raised to a value just above the Néel temperature. A comparison of these reuslts with the work of earlier authors suggests that the shinning metal particles are those of chromium metal and are responsible for this increase in EPR absorption. 相似文献

ABSTRACTPresent study investigates the heat transfer and friction characteristics of heat exchanger tube fitted with perforated twisted tape (PTT) insert having V cuts. A copper tube of 1 m length and 0.032 m inner diameter is used as test section to collect the experimental data by varying the twist ratio of PTT from 2 to 6 for the Reynolds number range of 2,700–23,400. V cuts are introduced in the PTT and the V-cut relative pitch ratio is varied from 1 to 2. The maximum thermo-hydraulic performance parameter is found to be 1.58. 相似文献

Efficient water electrolysis catalyst is highly demanded for the production of hydrogen as a sustainable energy fuel. It is reported that cobalt derived nanoparticle (CoS2, CoP, CoS|P) decorated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composite aerogel catalysts for highly active and reliable hydrogen evolution reaction electrocatalysts. 7 nm level cobalt derived nanoparticles are synthesized over graphene aerogel surfaces with excellent surface coverage and maximal expose of active sites. CoS|P/rGO hybrid aerogel composites show an excellent catalytic activity with overpotential of ≈169 mV at a current density of ≈10 mA cm?2. Accordingly, efficient charge transfer is attained with Tafel slope of ≈52 mV dec?1 and a charge transfer resistance (Rct) of ≈12 Ω. This work suggests a viable route toward ultrasmall, uniform nanoparticles decorated graphene surfaces with well‐controlled chemical compositions, which can be generally useful for various applications commonly requiring large exposure of active surface area as well as robust interparticle charger transfer. 相似文献

In this paper, we prove that for any ?>0, an (n,d,λ)‐graph G admits a 1‐factorization provided that n is even, C0 ≤ d ≤ n?1 (where C0=C0(?) is a constant depending only on ?), and λ ≤ d1??. In particular, since (as is well known) a typical random d‐regular graph Gn,d is such a graph, we obtain the existence of a 1‐factorization in a typical Gn,d for all C0 ≤ d ≤ n?1, thereby extending to all possible values of d results obtained by Janson, and independently by Molloy, Robalewska, Robinson, and Wormald for fixed d. Moreover, we also obtain a lower bound for the number of distinct 1‐factorizations of such graphs G, which is better by a factor of 2nd/2 than the previously best known lower bounds, even in the simplest case where G is the complete graph. 相似文献

Novel Supramolecular fluorescence receptor derived from calix-system i.e. calix[4]resorcinarene bearing dansylchloride as fluorophore was designed and synthesized. The compound was purified by column chromatography and characterized by elemental analysis, NMR and Mass spectroscopy. Tetradansylated calix[4] resorcinarene (TDCR) shows a boat conformation with C2v symmetry. The complexation behaviour of metal cations [Ag(I), Cd(II), Co(II), Fe(III), Hg(II), Cu(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), U(VI) (1?×?10-4?M)] with tetra dansylated calix[4]resorcinarene (1?×?10-6?M) was studied by spectophotometry and spectrofluorometry. Red shift in the absorption spectra led us to conclude that there is strong complexation Fe(III), Co(II) and Cu(II) with TDCR. These metal cations also produce quenching with red shifts in the emission spectra. The maximum quenching in emission intensity was observed in the case of Fe(III) and its binding constant was also found to be significantly higher than that of Co(II) and Cu(II). Quantum yield of metal complexes of Fe(III) was found to be lower in comparison with Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes. Stern Volmer analysis indicates that the mechanism of fluorescence quenching is either purely dynamic, or purely static. 相似文献

A gamma-spectrometric method using an intrinsic high resolution germanium detector has been developed for the determination
of isotope ratios of plutonium from samples in solution form. The method is based on the assay of low energy gamma-rays of238Pu,239Pu,240Pu and241Pu and does not require the use of branching intensities or the knowledge of detection efficiencies for different gamma rays.
Since low energy gamma-rays are used, the effect of241Am has also been studied. It is found that results are not affected up to 0.5 wt% of241Am in plutonium samples. An accuracy of 3% is achievable in the determination of240Pu/239Pu and241Pu/239Pu atom ratios as demonstrated by carrying out measurements on isotopic standards of plutonium. 相似文献

A new, selective and sensitive method has been developed for the determination of tricyclic antidepressant drugs, amoxapine and nortriptyline, in human blood plasma and serum, involving their reaction with allyl isothiocyanate and extraction of thiourea derivatives with water-miscible organic solvent acetonitrile. The phase separation was effected by addition of ammonium sulphate, a process called salt-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction. The extract was analyzed by HPLC with UV detection at 254?nm. The method has been optimized for derivatization reaction time and temperature, solvent for extraction, and salt for solvent phase separation. Under the optimal conditions, a linear calibration graph was obtained between the amount of drug and the peak area of thiourea derivatives in the range of 0.002-20?mg/L drugs. The correlation coefficient and limit of detection values for amoxapine and nortriptyline in serum/plasma samples were in the range of 0.9953-0.9999 and 0.46-0.58?μg/L, respectively. The recovery in spiking experiments ranged, respectively, 75-88% (RSD 3.4-7.2%) and 79-97% (RSD 3.7-7.9%) for the two drugs. 相似文献
