Excitons in coupled quantum dots

Properties of excitons in vertically coupled GaAs/AlGaAs quantum dots were investigated using the variational method within the envelope function and effective mass approximations. It was found that when the thickness of the spacer layer becomes less than about one exciton Bohr radius, both the exciton binding energy and the fundamental optical transition energy are reduced compared to those in isolated quantum dots. This is a result of increased space extension of exciton due to the penetration of carrier wave functions into the spacer layer and corresponding reduction in confinement energy which dominates over the Coulomb interaction between the electron and the hole.     

Structural effects of multiple-bonds on aggregating tendencies of long-chain esters

The kinetics of the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl esters of three types of single-chain carboxylic acids, namely, saturated, olefinic and acetylenic, was investigated in two aquiorgano binary solvent systems, DMSO-H₂O and dioxane (DX)-H₂O. The ester probes used are: octanoic (C8), dodecanoic (C12) , stearic (C18) , oleic (C18-ol) , elaidic (C18-el ) and stearolic (C18-st). The order of measured CAgC values is: C18-ol>C18-el>C18>C18-st, whereas the order of decreasing magnitude of the observed hydrolytic rate constants of the monomeric species (k_m) is: C18>C18-el>C18-ol> C18-st. These rather unanticipated results are discussed.     

Complexes in polymers IV. FTIR microscopic characterization of thin organic polymer films containing embedded transition-metal carbonyl complexes

Thin films of polystyrene (PS), poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and polystyrene-polyacrylonitrile copolymer (PS-AN), containing various embedded transition-metal complexes, have been studied by FTIR microscopy. The spatial distributions of the transition-metal carbonyl complexes throughout the thin organic polymer films have been determined by a two-dimensional IR mapping procedure. The spectral variations observed in the distribution of the metal carbonyls throughout the different polymer films are discussed. The IR data show that the technique used to prepare the organometallic-embedded thin films (viz. freeze-drying of solutions followed by hot mechanical pressing of the residues) does in general lead to homogeneous films which may eventually find industrial application, e.g. as membrane sensors for small molecules.

为了研究排球比赛中的二传最优过程 ,本文基于决策论的理论和方法建立了排球二传最优过程的数学模型 .通过对模型的分析研究分别给出了最大概率准则和最大期望准则下的最优传球方式 .本文所得到的结果对排球队的训练和比赛有一定的指导意义 .     

Riemann Zeta函数的六阶和

利用概率论与组合数学的方法,研究了与Riemann-zeta函数ξ(k)的部分和ξ_n(k)有关的一些级数,计算出了一些重要的和式．特别的,Euler的著名结果5ξ(4)= 2ξ~2(2)能够从四阶和式直接推出．因此,通过计算全部的11个六阶和式,研究它们之间的非平凡关系,就有可能得到ξ(3)的数值．     

In situ observation of NaBi(WO4)2 dendrite growth and the study on microstructure of solidification

The dendrite growth process of transparent NaBi(WO₄)₂ with small prandtl and high melting point was studied by using the in-situ observation system. According to the dynamic images and detailed information, there are two kinds of restriction effect on the dendrite growth, the competition between arms and branches and the convection in the melt. The dendrite growth rate was time dependent, and the rate of arm growth reached the maximum 5.8 mm/s in the diffusive-advective region and rapidly decreased in the diffusive-convective region. The growth rate of branch had the same change trends as the arm’s. Based on the EPMA-EDS data of solidification structure of quenched NaBi(WO₄)₂ melt, it was found that there were component differences from stoichiometric concentration in the melt near the interface during the growth process. 河南省城市居民消费结构比较研究

本文主要应用聚类分析方法 ,对河南省 17个地市级城市居民的消费结构进行了比较统计分析 ,从而得到了各城市居民消费结构的一些特点和规律 ,并进一步探讨了其消费结构、可支配收入与总消费支出之间的关系     

Simplified analytic solutions and a novel fast algorithm for Yb-doped double-clad fiber lasers

In this paper, continuous wave Yb³⁺-doped double-clad fiber lasers (DCFLs) with linear-cavity are investigated theoretically and numerically using the rate equations. Under the steady state conditions, the simplified analytic solutions of Yb³⁺-doped DCFLs under considering the scattering loss are deduced in the strongly pump condition. Compared with the known analytic solutions in published literatures, our analytic solutions are more accurate, especially, at higher reflectivity of output mirror. In addition, a fast and stable algorithm based on the Newton-Raphson method is proposed to simulate numerically Yb³⁺-doped DCFLs. The results by simplified analytic solutions are in good agreement with those by the numerical simulation. Moreover, we have performed the optimization of an Yb³⁺-doped DCFL using the simplified analytic solutions and the numerical simulations, respectively.     

Generalized KKM Type Theorems in FC-Spaces with Applications (I)

The class KKM(X,Y) (resp., s-KKM(X,Y,Z)) of set-valued mappings with KKM (resp., s-KKM) property is introduced in FC-spaces without any convexity structure. Some generalized KKM (resp., s-KKM) type theorems are proved in FC-spaces under much weak assumptions. As applications, some new section theorems and coincidence theorems are established in FC-spaces. These theorems generalize many known results in literature. The further applications of these results will be given in a follow-up paper.     

Studies on the method of total synthesis of koumine: I. 4-Substituted 1,2-dihydropyridine derivatives and their function as a conjugated diene in Diels-Alder reaction

A route to the total synthesis of koumine has been suggested. Five 4-substituted 1, 2-d hydropyridine derivatives, which are supposed to be a conjugated diene of Diels-Alder reaction to produce the isoquinuclidine ring of koumine, have been synthesized. Only two of them were found to be able to undergo the Diels-Alder reaction. The stereochemistry of the reaction product has also been examined.
