We report on our research effort to generate large-scale multipartite optical-mode entanglement using as few physical resources as possible. We have previously shown that cluster-and GHZ-type N-partite continuous-variable entanglement can be obtained in an optical resonator that contains a suitably designed second-order nonlinear optical medium, pumped by at most \(\mathcal{O}\)(N 2) fields. In this paper, we show that the frequency comb of such a resonator can be entangled in an arbitrary number of independent 2 × 2 and 2 × 3 continuousvariable cluster states by a single optical parametric oscillator pumped by just a few optical modes.  相似文献

The photochemistry of CO(CN)2 in cryogenic matrixes has been investigated employing pulsed laser excitation at 193 nm. During irradiation, the parent molecule, the intermediate, and the final photoproducts were monitored by IR spectroscopy. Four new species were identified including the isocyano isomer of the parent NCC(O)NC, cyanogen NCCN, isocyanogen CNCN, and CO according to spectroscopic features and ab initio calculations. After prolonged irradiation, the only remaining species were CO and the two isomers NCCN and CNCN. A reaction scheme is proposed which is in agreement with the first dissociation step being a branching of the decay path into the radical channel to CN+OCCN and the molecular channel to CO+(CN)2. The caged radicals of the former reaction either recombine to the parent molecule and its isomer which are both photolyzed again or they react directly to the stable and final products.  相似文献

A laser Doppler based method for in situ single blade tip clearance measurements of turbomachines with high precision is presented for what we believe is the first time. The sensor is based on two superposed fanlike interference fringe systems generated by two laser wavelengths from a fiber-coupled, passive, and therefore compact measurement head employing diffractive optics. Tip clearance measurements at a transonic centrifugal compressor performed during operation at 50,000 rpm (833 Hz, 586 m/s tip speed) are reported. At these speeds the measured uncertainty of the tip position was less than 20 microm, a factor of 2 more accurate than that of capacitive probes. The sensor offers great potential for in situ and online high-precision tip clearance measurements of metallic and nonmetallic turbine blades.  相似文献

This paper reports on the measurements of the near-wall turbulence statistics in a fully developed channel flow. The flow measurements were carried out with a novel laser Doppler velocity profile sensor with a high spatial resolution. The sensor provides both the information of velocity and position of individual tracer particles inside the measurement volume. Hence, it yields the velocity profile inside the measurement volume, in principle, without the sensor being mechanically traversed. Two sensor systems were realized with different techniques. Typically the sensor has a relative accuracy of velocity measurement of 10−3 and the spatial resolution of a few micrometers inside the measurement volume of about 500 μm long. The streamwise velocity was measured with two independent sensor systems at three different Reynolds number conditions. The resulting turbulence statistics show a good agreement with available data of direct numerical simulations up to fourth order moment. This demonstrates the velocity profile sensor to be one of the promising techniques for turbulent flow research with the advantage of a spatial resolution more than one magnitude higher than a conventional laser Doppler technique.  相似文献

The physiological electron-transfer (ET) partners, cytochrome c peroxidase (CcP) and cytochrome c (Cc)1, can be modified to exhibit photoinitiated ET through substitution of Zn (or Mg) for Fe in either partner. Laser excitation of the Zn-porphyrin (ZnP) to its triplet excited state (3ZnP) initiates direct heme-heme ET to the ferriheme center of its partner across the protein-protein interface. This photoinitiated ET produces the charge-separated intermediate, I = [ZnP+CcP, Fe2+Cc], with a metalloporphyrin pi-cation radical (ZnP+) in the donor protein and a ferroheme acceptor protein. I, in general, is thought to return to the ground state by a thermal ET process that involves direct heme-heme back-ET to complete a simple photocycle. We here contrast intracomplex ET between yeast iso-1 Cc and ZnCcP(WT) (wild-type) with that for two ZnCcP(X) variants: X = W191F, with redox-active W191 replaced by Phe; WYM4, a W191F mutant with further replacement of four other potentially redox-active sites (W51F, Y187F, Y229F, and Y236F). The results show that W191 acts as an ET mediator, which "short-circuits" the direct heme-heme back-ET through a two-step, hopping process in which the ZnP+ cation radical formed by photoinitiated ET rapidly oxidizes W191, and the resultant W191+, in turn, rapidly oxidizes Fe2+Cc.  相似文献
