A major issue with the electrolytic conductivity measurement for pure water is the lack of standard or reference methods. A primary method traceable to SI and suitable for pure-water conductivity measurement was developed at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany, as the base for the calibration method for the conductivity measuring devices at the low conductivity level. This paper provides a novel method to calculate the bulk resistance of pure water using impedance measured at a single frequency, which is one of the key procedures for the primary methods.  相似文献

The replacement of an acetate function of the macrocyclic DOTA4-(DO3A-Nprop4-) or the acyclic DTPA5- in terminal position (DTTA-Nprop5-) has been recently shown to result in a significant increase of the water exchange rate on the Gd3+ complexes, which makes these chelates potential contrast agents for MRI applications. Here, two novel and straightforward synthetic routes to H4DO3A-Nprop are described. Protonation constants of DO3A-Nprop4- and stability constants with several alkaline earth and transition metal ions have been determined by potentiometry. For each metal, the thermodynamic stability constant is decreased in comparison to the DOTA chelates. The formation reaction of LnDO3A-Nprop- complexes (Ln=Ce, Gd and Yb) proceeds via the rapid formation of a diprotonated intermediate and its subsequent deprotonation and rearrangement in a slow, OH- catalyzed process. The stability of the LnH2DO3A-Nprop* intermediates is similar to those reported for the corresponding DOTA analogues. The rate constants of the OH- catalyzed deprotonation step increase with decreasing lanthanide ion size, and are slightly higher than for DOTA complexes. The kinetic inertness of GdDTTA-Nprop2- was characterized by the rates of its exchange reactions with Zn2+ and Eu3+. The rate of the reaction between GdDTTA-Nprop2- and Zn2+ increases with Zn2+ concentration, while it is independent of pH, implying that the exchange takes place predominantly via direct attack of the metal ion on the complex. In the Eu3+ exchange, the rate decreases with increasing concentration of the exchanging ion which is accounted for by the transitional formation of a dinuclear GdDTTA-NpropEu+ species. The kinetic inertness of the monopropionate GdDTTA-Nprop2- is decreased in comparison to GdDTPA2-: all rate constants, characterizing the dissociation reaction via either proton- or metal-catalyzed pathways being higher by 1-2 orders of magnitude. Similarly, a study of the acid-catalyzed dissociation of the macrocyclic CeDO3A-Nprop- showed a partial loss of the kinetic inertness with regard to the tetraacetate derivative CeDOTA-.  相似文献

Acrylamide and acrolein are two short-chained hazardous compounds with neurotoxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic effects. The aim of this paper is to describe a fast and simple procedure for simultaneous determination of both acrylamide and acrolein under standard conditions, suggest a suitable calibration protocol for custom analysis, and demonstrate its applicability to the analysis of gaseous products from, e.g., cigarettes, cigars, or electronic cigarettes. A gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) method was developed to quantify acrylamide and acrolein in smoke vapor from electronic cigarettes, tobacco cigarettes, and cigars. Nonionic and highly polar molecules with a low boiling point and molecular mass need a suitable derivatization method to achieve appropriate retention and selectivity on commonly used relatively nonpolar stationary phases and to enhance the molecular mass for easy MS detection. The derivatization of acrylamide and acrolein was carried out by a bromination method with elemental bromine. The dibromo derivatives were extracted into an organic solvent and following a dehydrobromination procedure the samples were injected into the GC–MS system. Important experimental parameters were varied, after which the bromination time was defined as 30 min, and the injector temperature and the starting temperature of gradient were set at 280 and 50 °C respectively. Acrolein was found in all tested samples, while acrylamide was detected only in smoke from normal tobacco. Possible mechanisms for the formation of these unsaturated compounds in the samples are discussed. After its validation the newly developed method was successfully and reliably applied to the analysis of both compounds. This short method provides an easy way to determine acrylamide and acrolein in gaseous samples.

Synthesis of the green spinel pigment Co0.46Zn0.55(Ti0.064Cr0.91)2O4 by a novel two-step method of preparation have been investigated. Inorganic pigments are almost always prepared by a solid state reaction. It is classical ceramic method which used oxides, hydroxides or carbonates as precursors. The reaction is performed at temperature higher than 1300°C and an agent of mineralization is usually present. The presented novel method of preparation decreases the calcining temperature necessary for reaching of bright and clear hue of the pigments prepared. Main attention was focused on the influence of two types of titanium raw materials on the temperature region of the spinel structure formation and on the colour properties of the pigments. The mixture of precursors with TiO2 gives a one-phase system when calcining at 1100°C but the colour properties are more interesting at 1150°C. Thermal stability of this pigment is limited by temperature 1300°C. This temperature is connected with partial oxidation of Cr(III) to Cr(VI). Thermal analysis provided the first information about the temperature region of the pigment formation and determined the thermal stability of pigment.  相似文献

A series of alkyl l‐heteroaryl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylates 6a‐u were synthesised in four steps from methyl (Z)‐2‐benzyloxycarbonylarmino‐3‐(dimethylamino)prop‐2‐enoate ( 1 ) and heterocyclic amines 2a‐s. Triazoles 6a‐o were tested against antimycobacterial activity. For the most active compound, n‐pentyl 1‐(6‐phenylpyridazin‐3‐yl)‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylate ( 6n ), minimum inhibitory concentration 3.13 μg/ml was determined.  相似文献

Thin films of fumaramide [2]rotaxane, a mechanically interlocked molecule composed of a macrocycle and a thread in a "bead and thread" configuration, were prepared by vapor deposition on both Ag(111) and Au(111) substrates. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and high-resolution electron-energy-loss spectroscopy were used to characterize monolayer and bulklike multilayer films. XPS determination of the relative amounts of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen indicates that the molecule adsorbs intact. On both metal surfaces, molecules in the first adsorbed layer show an additional component in the C 1s XPS line attributed to chemisorption via amide groups. Molecular-dynamics simulation indicates that the molecule orients two of its eight phenyl rings, one from the macrocycle and one from the thread, in a parallel bonding geometry with respect to the metal surfaces, leaving three amide groups very close to the substrate. In the case of fumaramide [2]rotaxane adsorption on Au(111), the presence of certain out-of-plane phenyl ring and Au-O vibrational modes points to such bonding and a preferential molecular orientation. The theoretical and experimental results imply that the three-dimensional intermolecular configuration permits chemisorption at low coverage to be driven by interactions between the three amide functions of fumaramide [2]rotaxane and the Ag(111) or Au(111) surface.  相似文献

Summary: The morphology and fracture behaviour of polycarbonate (PC)/multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWNT) composites have been studied by AFM and post‐yield fracture mechanics. The essential work of fracture (EWF) method has been used to distinguish between two terms representing the resistance to crack initiation and crack propagation. A maximum in the non‐essential work of fracture was observed at 2 wt.‐% MWNT, demonstrating enhanced resistance to crack propagation compared to pure PC. At 4 wt.‐% MWNT, a tough‐to‐brittle transition has been observed. The time‐resolved in‐situ strain field analysis revealed that the onset of crack initiation was shifted to a shorter time for nanocomposites with 4 wt.‐% MWNT compared to that with 2 wt.‐%, and thus explained the existence of a tough‐to‐brittle transition in these nanocomposites.
