Observation of the locomotion of animals and human beings in difficult terrain makes it quite obvious that legged locomotion offers substantial mobility advantages over conventional wheeled or tracked systems. However, effective adaptation of legged locomotion principles to off-road vehicles has to date been frustrated by the complexity of the joint coordination control problem and by the lack of suitable sources of power for individual leg joints. This paper is addressed to the first problem and is intended to show that some of the techniques used in aircraft autopilots can be adapted to legged vehicle control. The main results presented are derived from a computer simulation study of a system in which vehicle speed and direction are determined by a human operator while individual joint commands are generated automatically by a digital computer. Present indications are that such a vehicle might be as easy to control as a conventional wheeled or tracked automotive system. 相似文献

Presented here are three kinematic representations of large rotations for accurate modeling of highly flexible beam-like structures undergoing arbitrarily large three-dimensional elastic deformation and/or rigid-body motion. Different methods of modeling torsional deformation result in different beam theories with different mathematical characteristics. Each of these three geometrically exact beam theories fully accounts for geometric nonlinearities and initial curvatures by using Jaumann strains, exact coordinate transformations, and orthogonal virtual rotations. The derivations are presented in detail, a finite element formulation is included, fully nonlinear governing equations and boundary conditions are presented, and the corresponding form for numerically exact analysis using multiple shooting methods is also derived. These theories are compared in terms of their appropriate application areas, possible singular problems, and easiness for use in modeling and analysis of multibody systems. Nonlinear finite element analysis of a rotating beam and nonlinear multiple shooting analysis of a torsional bar are performed to demonstrate the capability and accuracy of these beam theories. 相似文献

Electroreduction of nitric oxide (NO) to NH3 (NORR) has gained extensive attention for the sake of low carbon emission and air pollutant treatment. Unfortunately, NORR is greatly hindered by its sluggish kinetics, especially under low concentrations of NO. Herein, we developed a chlorine (Cl) vacancy strategy to overcome this limitation over FeOCl nanosheets (FeOCl-VCl). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed that the Cl vacancy resulted in defective Fe with sharp d-states characteristics in FeOCl-VCl to enhance the absorption and activation of NO. In situ X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) and attenuated total reflection-infrared spectroscopy (ATR-IR) verified the lower average oxidation state of defective Fe to enhance the electron transfer for NO adsorption/activation and facilitate the generation of key NHO and NHx intermediates. As a result, the FeOCl-VCl exhibited superior NORR activities with the NH3 Faradaic efficiency up to 91.1 % while maintaining a high NH3 yield rate of 455.4 μg cm−2 h−1 under 1.0 vol % NO concentration, competitive with those of previously reported literatures under higher NO concentration. Further, the assembled Zn-NO battery utilizing FeOCl-VCl as cathode delivered a record peak power density of 6.2 mW cm−2, offering a new route for simultaneous NO removal, NH3 production, and energy supply. 相似文献

Study of magnetoresistance and conductance of bicrystal grain boundary in La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 thin film
La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 (LBMO) thin film is deposited on a 36.7°C SrTiO3 bicrystal substrate using laser ablation technique. A microbridge is created across bicrystal grain boundary and its characteristics
are compared with a microbridge on the LBMO film having no grain boundary. Presence of grain boundary exhibits substantial
magnetoresistance ratio (MRR) in the low field and low temperature region. Bicrystal grain boundary contribution in MRR disappears
at temperature T>175 K. At low temperature, I-V characteristic of the microbridge across bicrystal grain boundary is nonlinear. Analysis of temperature dependence of dynamic
conductance-voltage characteristics of the bicrystal grain boundary indicates that at low temperatures (T<175 K) carrier transport across the grain boundary in LBMO film is dominated by inelastic tunneling via pairs of manganese
atoms and tunneling through disordered oxides. At higher temperatures (T>175 K), magnetic scattering process is dominating. Decrease of bicrystal grain boundary contribution in magnetoresistance

The catalytic properties and reduction behavior of mixed metal oxides with nominal compositions of LaxTh1−x(VO3−δ)4, where 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0, have been investigated as a function of the value of x. These compositions were synthesized by ceramic route and characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, and temperature-programmed reduction/oxidation/desorption techniques. The substituted samples were comprised of two distinct phases, one corresponding to tetragonal thorium metavanadate with partial substitution at A-sites, i.e. LaxTh1−x(VO3−δ)4, and the other a new phase identified as LaV4O11+δ. Both these phases exhibited considerable oxygen non-stoichiometry, depending upon the extent of substitution. Nevertheless, no significant change was observed in their respective crystal symmetry. Further, the substituted samples showed more reproducible redox behavior and also an improved catalytic activity for CO oxidation reaction. A definite correlation is found to exist between the micro-structural defects generated in the above-mentioned two phases because of the oxygen ion vacancies, resultant enhancement in thermal diffusitivity of lattice oxygen, and finally the catalytic activity of the substituted mixed oxides. It is envisaged that a kind of synergism between the micro-structural defects existing in the two inter-grown phases generated simultaneously during the synthesis may control the catalytic properties of composite metal oxide systems. 相似文献
