We have investigated the excited-state properties and singlet oxygen ((1)Delta(g)) generation mechanism in phthalocyanines (4M; M = H(2), Mg, or Zn) and in low-symmetry metal-free, magnesium, and zinc tetraazaporphyrins (TAPs), that is, monobenzo-substituted (1M), adjacently dibenzo-substituted (2AdM), oppositely dibenzo-substituted (2OpM), and tribenzo-substituted (3M) TAP derivatives, whose pi conjugated systems were altered by fusing benzo rings. The S(1)(x) and S(1)(y) states (these lowest excited singlet states are degenerate in D(4)(h) symmetry) split in the low-symmetry TAP derivatives. The excited-state energies were quantitatively determined from the electronic absorption spectra. The lowest excited triplet (T(1)(x)) energies were also determined from phosphorescence spectra, while the second lowest excited triplet (T(1)(y)) states were evaluated by using the energy splitting between the T(1)(x) and T(1)(y) states previously reported (Miwa, H.; Ishii, K.; Kobayashi, N. Chem. Eur. J. 2004, 10, 4422-4435). The singlet oxygen quantum yields (Phi(Delta)) are strongly dependent on the pi conjugated system. In particular, while the Phi(Delta) value of 2AdH(2) is smallest in our system, that of 2OpH(2), an isomer of 2AdH(2), is larger than that of 4Zn, in contrast to the heavy atom effect. The relationship between the molecular structure and Phi(Delta) values can be transformed into a relationship between the S(1)(x) --> T(1)(y) intersystem crossing rate constant (k(ISC)) and the energy difference between the S(1)(x) and T(1)(y) states (DeltaE(S)(x)(T)(y)). In each of the Zn, Mg, and metal-free compounds, the Phi(Delta)/tau(F) values (tau(F): fluorescence lifetime), which are related to the k(ISC) values, are proportional to exp(-DeltaE(S)(x)(T)(y)), indicating that singlet oxygen ((1)Delta(g)) is produced via the T(1)(y) state and that the S(1)(x) --> T(1)(y) ISC process follows the energy-gap law. From the viewpoint of photodynamic therapy, our methodology, where the Phi(Delta) value can be controlled by changing the symmetry of pi conjugated systems without heavy elements, appears useful for preparing novel photosensitizers.  相似文献

Mechanically interlocked molecules incorporating cucurbituril (CB[6]) as a molecular 'bead' and their supramolecular assemblies are described. An efficient synthesis of 1D, 2D and 3D polyrotaxanes with high structural regularity and molecular necklaces has been achieved by a combination of self-assembly and coordination chemistry. The functional aspects of these interlocked molecules and their supramolecular assemblies, including molecular machines and switches based on [2]rotaxanes, a 2D polyrotaxane with large cavities and channels, pseudorotaxane-terminated dendrimers, and interaction of pseudorotaxanes containing polyamines and CB[6] with DNA are also described.  相似文献

[structure: see text]. Flexible, convergent access to 2,3-disubstituted benzo[b]thiophenes has been developed. The most concise approach involves sequential coupling of o-bromoiodobenzenes with benzylmercaptan and zinc acetylides to give benzyl o-ethynylphenyl sulfides which react with iodine to give 3-iodobenzo[b]thiophenes in a 5-endo-dig iodocyclization. These iodides can be further elaborated using palladium-mediated coupling and/or metalation techniques. This method has been applied to the synthesis of some novel tubulin binding agents.  相似文献

Head column-field amplified sample stacking (HC-FASS) is one of the most powerful concentration techniques in capillary electrophoresis. In the present work we demonstrate that a laboratory-designed pneumatic sampler not only enables us to easily perform HC-FASS from stagnant sample solutions but also permits us to carry out HC-FASS from sample stream, which creates an opportunity to lower the detection limit of analytes further. The influence of stacking time in case of the flowing sample on peak efficiencies and resolution is discussed. It is demonstrated that the sample plug length can be kept constant by monitoring the current in the capillary, which controls a feedback system based on backpressure at the capillary outlet.  相似文献

The Eglinton reaction of diethynyl(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl)phosphane (7a), that is, the oxidative coupling of 3, 4, 5, or 6 of these phosphane units, affords a mixture of the 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-membered macrocycles 8, 9, 10, and 11. Pure triphosphacyclopentadecahexayne 8 and pentaphosphacyclopentacosadecayne 10 were isolated by HPLC, while the mixture of 9 and 11 could not be separated. Multistep syntheses of open-chain polyphosphapolyynes are described, whose intra- or intermolecular coupling yields the phosphamacrocycles 8, 9, and 11. Eglinton coupling of bis(ethynylphosphanyl)butadiyne (17) gave a mixture of the 20-membered tetraphosphacycloicosaoctayne 9, the 30-membered hexaphosphacyclotriacontadodecayne 11, and the 40-membered octaphosphacyclotetracontahexadecayne 23 as result of a di-, tri-, and tetramerization, respectively. Intramolecular coupling of bis[(ethynylphosphanyl)butadiynyl]phosphane 25a gave 8, while intermolecular coupling gave 11; these two compounds were isolated by chromatography to give yields of 70 and 5%, respectively. The open-chain tetraphosphaeikosaoctayne 28 couples intramolecularly to give 9 and intermolecularly to give the 40-membered octaphosphacyclotetracontahexadecayne 23, which was isolated in the pure form. Octaphosphatetracontahexadecayne 32 cyclized to give 23, exclusively. The temperature-dependent 1H and 31P NMR spectra of the open-chain and cyclic ethynylphosphanes indicated a lowering of the inversion barrier of the tertiary phosphanes from the usual 130-140 kJ mol(-1) to 65-75 kJ mol(-1). Ab initio calculations proved that the dramatic reduction of the inversion barriers results from the interaction of the lone pair on phosphorus with the pi orbitals of the triple bonds in the planar transition state during inversion. The situation is comparable with the dramatic reduction of the P inversion barrier in phospholes, because of the planar, aromatic transition state. The polyphospha[m]cyclo[n]carbons may be considered as precursors to cyclic PmCn systems.  相似文献

A new technique for measuring CO(2) concentration in air samples, based on mass spectrometry, is described as an alternative to the common gas chromatographic method. Using a dual inlet isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS), the ratio of the abundances of the m/z peaks 44 and 28 is determined. The precision of measurements (standard deviation <3 ppmv) is generally as good as the analysis with gas chromatography for small air samples (<1 ml STP of air). A major advantage of this new method is the possibility of parallel elemental and isotopic measurements of many air components. The technique is further improved by new wide mass range mass spectrometers allowing simultaneous intensity measurements of several m/z values between 28 and 44, resulting in an uncertainty of <0.5 ppm. The precision is somewhat limited by the production of N(2)O and NO(2) from N(2) and O(2) in the ion source, which accounts for about half of the signal strength at m/z 44. This work reports preliminary studies on the characterisation of anhydrous ethanol (AEA) used as an automotive fuel mixed with gasoline in Porto Alegre (South Brazil). Pre-concentration of the impurities contained in 1000 ml of AEA was carried on through solid-phase extraction using XAD4 resin. The main compounds in the extract were identified by means of spectral data from the library of the equipment. The concentrate was then fractionated using a preparative liquid chromatographic column filled with activated silica gel and the elution procedure was carried out with, n-hexane, n-hexane-benzene (1:1, v/v) and dichloromethane. Prior to analysis by GC-MS, each fraction was reduced to 1 ml with a gentle stream of nitrogen. Saturated linear hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons eluted in the first fraction and oxygenated compounds such as aldehydes. ketones and alcohols, eluted in the second one. were the main compounds detected in the sample.  相似文献

This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of pyridine-substituted artificial oligopeptides with an aminoethylglycine backbone of varying length, which are designed to act as scaffolds for the self-assembly of multimetallic structures. The identities and purities of the oligopeptides are confirmed with mass spectrometry, (1)H NMR, HPLC, and pH titrations. The acid dissociation constants for the oligopeptides were determined and were found to decrease with increasing pyridine units. Titrations of the oligopeptides with Cu(II) and Pt(II) complexes containing the tridentate ligands 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine and pyridine 2,6-dicarboxylic acid were monitored using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy and showed stoichiometric binding based on the number of pyridines on the peptide strand. Metal titrations performed using an analogous oligopeptide with methyl substituents (in place of the pyridine ligands) showed very weak or no binding. In the case of the oligopeptides containing bound Pt(terpyridine)(2+) complexes, cyclic voltammetry reveals two sequential one-electron reductions at formal potentials that do not vary as a function of oligopeptide length. The measured diffusion coefficients were measured with chronoamperometry and were found to decrease with increasing oliopeptide length.  相似文献

The rotational spectra of the three carbon chain molecules vinyldiacetylene (hex-1-ene-3,5-diyne, C(6)H(4)), vinyltriacetylene (oct-1-ene-3,5,7-triyne, C8H4), and its cyano analog vinylcyanodiacetylene (1-cyanohex-5-ene-1,3-diyne, C7H3N) have been observed for the first time by Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy of a supersonic molecular beam. The molecules were observed as products of an electrical discharge through selected precursor mixtures: ethylene/diacetylene and vinylacetylene/diacetylene for the pure hydrocarbon molecules and vinylacetylene/cyanoacetylene for vinylcyanodiacetylene. The measurements yield precise sets of rotational constants that compare very well with theoretical constants obtained by quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP/cc-pVTZ level of theory. Since these three carbon chains are similar in structure and composition to known astronomical molecules and because of their significant polarity, all three are candidates for radio astronomical detection.  相似文献
