New methodology for making novel materials is highly desirable. Here, an “ingredients” approach to functional self‐assembled hydrogels was developed. By designing a building block to contain the right ingredients, a multi‐responsive, self‐assembled hydrogel was obtained through a process of template‐induced self‐synthesis in a dynamic combinatorial library. The system can be switched between gel and solution by light, redox reactions, pH, temperature, mechanical energy and sequestration or addition of MgII salt. 相似文献

We have measured the plasmon dispersion in polycrystalline Beryllium at wave vectors up tok=1.29 Å?1 with electron energy loss spectroscopy. The plasmon energy is 18.8±0.1 eV, the fitted quadratic dispersion coefficient is α=0.36±0.03 for 0<k<1.29 Å?1 and α L =0.52+0.04 fork<0.55 Å?1. We compare our results with the plasmon dispersion in other simple metals and point out discrepancies with the theories of the homogeneous electron gas. 相似文献

The Raman band of the stretch vibration of CO adsorbed on cold deposited silver films shifts to lower frequency and broadens with increasing coverage. Isotopic mixture experiments show that this is not caused by dipolar interactions. A possible explanation of this pure “chemical effect” based on a finite density of the CO 2π1 resonance at the Fermi energy is proposed and critically discussed. 相似文献

Summary The optode with fair selectivity for salicylate and aspirin is based on the use of a new lipophilic carrier for aromatic carboxylic acids, namely (±) n-butyl O-(1-naphthylaminocarbonyl) lactate (BNAL). The sensing scheme involves co-extraction of both salicylate anion and a proton from the aqueous sample medium into a pvc layer using BNAL as a salicylate carrier, and a pH-sensitive dye as a lipoid proton carrier, both contained in the pvc membrane. BNAL transports the salicylate anion into the pvc lipid membrane. In order to maintain electro-neutrality, the proton carrier dye simultaneously extracts a proton into the pvc membrane, thereby becoming protonated. As a result, the dye undergoes a colour change which is detected via measurement of fluorescence intensity. The sensor is fully reversible and has a dynamic range from 0.1 to 30 mmol/l salicylate at pH 5.00, but the response function is highly pH-dependent. The effect of 25 interfering anions was investigated, and optical selectivity coefficients were determined. It is also shown that by proper variation of the membrane composition, selectivities for other carboxy anions can be obtained.
