The optical properties including electronic absorption spectrum, emission spectrum, fluorescence quantum yield, and dipole moment of electronic transition of 7-diethylaminocoumarin (DEAC) laser dye have been measured in different solvents. Both electronic absorption and fluorescence spectra are red shifted as the polarity of the medium increases, indicating that the dipole moment of molecule increases on excitation. The fluorescence quantum yield of DEAC decreases as the polarity of solvent increases, a result of the role of solvent polarity in stabilization of the twisting of the intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) in excited state, which is a non-emissive state, as well as hydrogen bonding with the hetero-atom of dye. The emission spectrum of DEAC has also been measured in cationic (CTAC) and anionic (SDS) micelles, the intensity increases as the concentration of surfactant increases, and an abrupt change in emission intensity is observed at critical micelle concentration (CMC) of surfactant. 2×10−3 mol dm−3 of DEAC gives laser emission in the blue region on pumping with nitrogen laser (λex=337.1 nm). The laser parameters such as tuning range, gain coefficient (α), emission cross section (σe), and half-life energy have been calculated in different solvents, namely acetone, dioxane , ethanol, and dimethyforamide (DMF). The photoreactivity of DEAC has been studied in CCl4 at a wavelength of 366 nm. The values of photochemical yield (?c) and rate constant (k) are determined. The interaction of organic acceptors such as picric acid (PA), tetracyanoethylene (TCNE), and 7,7,8,8-tetracynoquinonedimethane (TCNQ) with DEAC is also studied using fluorescence measurements in acetonitrile (CH3CN); from fluorescence quenching study we assume the possible electron transfer from excited donor DEAC to organic acceptor forming non-emissive exciplex. 相似文献

Natural antioxidants derived from plants have played a vital role in preventing a wide range of human chronic conditions and provide novel bioactive leads for investigators in pharmacotherapy discovery. This work was designed to examine the ethnopharmacological role of Urtica dioica (UD), Capsella bursa-pastoris (CBP), and Inula racemosa (IR). The total phenolic and flavonoid contents (TPC and TFC) were illustrated through colorimetric assays, while the antioxidant activity was investigated through DPPH and ABTS assays. The evaluation of phytochemicals by FT-IR of UD and CBP revealed high contents of aliphatic amines, while IR showed a major peak for ketones. The antioxidant activity, TPC and TFC were highest in the ethanol extract of UD, followed by CBP, and IR showed the lowest activity. All of the extracts revealed significant antioxidant capacities along a dosage gradient. Through a HPLC analysis at a wavelength of 280 nm, UD leaves demonstrated an intense peak of quercetin, and the peak for rutin was less intense. CBP (whole plant), instead, demonstrated a major yield of rutin, and a peak for quercetin was not observed in CBP. IR (rhizomes) showed both quercetin and rutin. All of the extracts were significantly cytotoxic to HepG2 cells after 48 h with the trend IR > UD > CBP. The outcomes of this study may be effective in the selection of specific plants as realistic sources of the bioactive components that might be useful in the nutraceutical progression and other biomedical efficacies. 相似文献

The thermal decomposition behavior in air of SrC2O4 · 1.25H2O was studied up to the formation of SrO using DTA-TG-DTG techniques. The decomposition proceeds through four well-defined
steps. The first two steps are attributed to the dehydration of the salt, while the third and fourth ones are assigned to
the decomposition of the anhydrous strontium oxalate into SrCO3 and the decomposition of SrCO3 to SrO, respectively. The exothermic DTA peak found at around 300°C is ascribed to the recrystallization of the anhydrous
strontium oxalate. On the other hand, the endothermic DTA peak observed at 910°C can be attributed to the transition of orthorhombic-hexagonal
phase of SrCO3. The kinetics of the thermal decomposition of anhydrous strontium oxalate and strontium carbonate, which are formed as stable
intermediates, have been studied using non-isothermal TG technique. Analysis of kinetic data was carried out assuming various
solid-state reaction models and applying three different computational methods. The data analysis according to the composite
method showed that the anhydrous oxalate decomposition is best described by the two-dimensional diffusion-controlled mechanism
(D2), while the decomposition of strontium carbonate is best fitted by means of the three-dimensional phase boundary-controlled
