Chemical Composition and Potential Properties in Mental Illness (Anxiety,Depression and Insomnia) of Agarwood Essential Oil: A Review

As a valuable medicinal herb and spice, agarwood is widely used in the fields of daily chemistry, traditional medicine, religion and literary collection. It mainly contains sesquiterpenes and 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones, which are often used to soothe the body and mind, relieve anxiety, act as an antidepressant and treat insomnia and other mental disorders, presenting a good calming effect. This paper reviews the chemical composition of the essential oils of different sources of agarwood, as well as the progress of research on the sedative and tranquilizing pharmacological activity and mechanism of action of agarwood essential oil (AEO), and then analyzes the current problems of AEO research and its application prospects in the treatment of mental diseases.     

Developing an Efficient Processing System Treatment for the High Concentration of Eucalyptus Chemical Mechanical Pulp Wastewater

The current wastewater treatment method shows low efficiency in treating wastewater with high concentrations of chemical mechanical pulp (CMP). Therefore, a chlorine dioxide Pretreatment Anaerobic Treatment (DPAT) was developed and applied to treat the CMP wastewater to obtain higher efficiency, obtaining the following results: The biodegradability of CMP wastewater improved after chlorine dioxide pretreatment. The COD of wastewater treated with chlorine dioxide was reduced from 5634 mg/L to 660 mg/L. The removal rate for chemical oxygen demand (COD) was 88.29%, 29.13% higher than the common anaerobic treatment. The reasons for the high efficiency of the DPAT treatment were that chlorine dioxide pretreatment removed the toxic substances in the original wastewater and thereby promoted the proliferation and growth of the anaerobe. The results show that pretreatment with chlorine dioxide can effectively enhance the biodegradability of high-concentration CMP wastewater. Therefore, DPAT treatment of high-concentration CMP wastewater is beneficial to environmental protection.

Novel guanidinium-based ionic liquids as stationary phases for capillary gas chromatography

<正>The present study describes guanidinium-based ionic liquids(GBILs) as stationary phases for capillary gas chromatography (CGC) and to the best of our knowledge,no related reports are available up to now.In this study,a hexaalkylguanidinium ionic liquid(DOTMG-NTf_2) was synthesized and coated statically onto capillary columns.Selectivity of the stationary phase was evaluated by separating Grob test mixture,test mixture,alcohols mixture,and fatty acid methyl esters mixture,and thermal stability was investigated as well.The present study demonstrates that GBILs as CGC stationary phases exhibit satisfactory selectivity and thermal stability and have a great potential as new candidates for CGC stationary phases.

建立了中成药中多种蒽醌类化合物(芦荟大黄素、大黄酸、大黄素、大黄酚和大黄素甲醚)的含量测定方法,为中国药典中含蒽醌的中成药提供一致的测定方法.色谱柱Agela Venusil XBP-C18柱(4.6mm×250mm,5μm);流动相为乙腈-0.1％磷酸溶液,梯度洗脱;检测波长为226nm;流速为1.0mL·min-1;柱温为40℃.芦荟大黄素、大黄酸、大黄素、大黄酚和大黄素甲醚分别在0.040-1.200、0.010-1.200、0.040-1.200、0.040-1.200、0.020-0.600μg范围内呈良好的线性关系,相关系数分别为0.9998、0.9997、0.9991、0.9997、0.9993,平均回收率(n=9)分别为99.26％-102.18％(RSD1.68％-2.64％)、98.85％-99.61％(RSD 1.02％-1.94％)、100.29％-104.65％(RSD 1.90％-2.57％)、97.68 ％-98.68％ (RSD 1.47％-2.53％)、96.18％-100.21％ (RSD 1.57％-2.82％).方法快速简便,重复性好,测定结果准确可靠,能够用于大黄剂中蒽醌类衍生物的含量测定.

研究了围绕曲线的管状曲面上的曲率线,渐近线与测地线,给出它们的方程,揭示了这些曲线与Bertrand曲线或Mannheim曲线之间的关系,采用新的方法给出一条曲线是Bertrand曲线或Mannheim曲线的充要条件的另一种证明以及Mannheim侣线的曲率与挠率之间的关系．     

Critical behaviour of binary mixture of {xC6H5CN + (1 − x)CH3(CH2)7CH3}: Measurements of coexistence curves,light scattering,and heat capacity

Liquid + liquid coexistence, light scattering, and isobaric heat capacity per unit volume for the critical solutions of (benzonitrile + n-nonane) have been measured. The critical exponents relating to the coexistence curve β, the osmotic compressibility γ, the correlation length ν, and the heat capacity α have been deduced and the values are consistent with the 3D-Ising values in the range close to the critical point. The experimental results of the liquid + liquid coexistence were analyzed to examine the Wegner correction terms and the behaviour of the diameter of the coexistence curves. The light scattering data were well described by the crossover model proposed by Anisimov and Sengers, and showed a tendency of monotonic crossover of the critical exponents γ and ν from the 3D-Ising values to the mean-field values as the temperature departures from the critical point. From calorimetric measurements, the amplitude A^± and the critical background B_cr of the heat capacity in the critical region have been deduced and some universal ratios are tested.
