The wide spreading of utilizing of smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) for numerical studies of the complex and high rate deformations of continuums, led the current study to gain a more reliable simulation by employing a modified compressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (MCSPH) algorithm which could be a more accurate and stable technique in high tension regions, in despite of incompressible standard SPH. The main feature of the modified compressible SPH algorithm relies on a three steps solution procedure to calculate the pressure gradient, the deviatoric stress tensor, and the body forces separately. This algorithm is free of any artificial viscosity in its formulations, as well as welcoming to compressible effects which permits the pressure shock waves in high rate plastic deformation. To examine the accuracy of the algorithm, a benchmark problem of colliding rubber cylinders was simulated first and then a high velocity perforation process of an aluminum beam struck by a rigid projectile was simulated in various projectile speeds, and the failure response of the beam in each case was accompanied by crack propagation process. The prominent capability of the utilized MCSPH can be more illustrated when it was used in simulation of thickness crack propagation a tiny crack paths and defragmentation which can be encountered as a not easy numerical case study. The adequate assurance has been more fortified when the results were compared to those reported from a Finite Element method study.  相似文献

The photoanodes of solid state dye sensitized solar cells (ss-DSCs) embedded with different contents of TiO2 hollow spheres (HSs) were prepared and the photovoltaic performances were systematically characterized. TiO2 hollow spheres were synthesized by a facile sacrificial templating method, grounded and added in different ratios to TiO2 nanoparticle (NP) paste, from which composite HS/NP electrodes were fabricated. The composite photoanodes include hollow spheres of 300–700 nm with enhanced light scattering characteristics in visible range which leads to improved light absorption in conventional thin film electrodes of ss-DSC. By optimizing the amount of HSs in the paste, 40% improvement in efficiency was obtained in comparison to ss-DSC utilized pure NP electrodes. By increasing the fraction of HSs in the electrode the current density increased by 56% (from 2.5 to 3.9 mA cm?2). The improved photovoltaic performance of ss-DSC is primarily due to different morphology and altered charged trap distribution in HSs in comparison to NP which leads to significant enhancement in electron transport time and electron lifetime as well as charge collection efficiency and light absorption properties.  相似文献

One of the interesting subjects in supply chain management is supply management, which generally relates to the activities regarding suppliers such as empowerment, evaluation, partnerships and so on. A major objective of supplier evaluation involves buyers determining the optimal quota allocated to each supplier when placing an order. In this paper, we propose a multi-objective model in which purchasing cost, rejected units, and late delivered units are minimized, while the obtained total score from the supplier evaluation process is maximized. We assume that the buyer obtains multiple products from a number of predetermined suppliers. The buyer faces a stochastic demand with a probability distribution of Poisson regarding each product type. A major assumption is that the supplier prices are linearly dependent on the order size of each product. Since demand is stochastic, the buyer may incur holding and stockout costs in addition to the regular purchasing cost. We use the well-known L-1 metric method to solve the supplier evaluation problem by utilizing two meta-heuristic algorithms to solve the corresponding mathematical problems.  相似文献

We present a high aspect ratio microfluidic device for culturing cells inside an array of microchambers with continuous perfusion of medium. The device was designed to provide a potential tool for cost-effective and automated cell culture. The single unit of the array consists of a circular microfluidic chamber 40 microm in height surrounded by multiple narrow perfusion channels 2 microm in height. The high aspect ratio (approximately 20) between the microchamber and the perfusion channels offers advantages such as localization of the cells inside the microchamber as well as creating a uniform microenvironment for cell growth. Finite element methods were used to simulate flow profile and mass transfer of the device. Human carcinoma (HeLa) cells were cultured inside the device with continuous perfusion of medium at 37 degrees C and was grown to confluency. The microfluidic cell culture array could potentially offer an affordable platform for a wide range of applications in high throughput cell-based screening, bioinformatics, synthetic biology, quantitative cell biology, and systems biology.  相似文献

The effect of substitutional Li doping into NiOx hole transporting layer (HTL) for use in inverted perovskite solar cells was systematically studied. Li doped NiOx thin films with preferential crystal growth along the (111) plane were deposited using a simple solution-based process. Mott-Schottky analysis showed that hole carrier concentration (NA) is doubled by Li doping. Utilizing 4 % Li in NiOx improved the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of solar devices from 9.0 % to 12.6 %. Photoluminescence quenching investigations demonstrate better hole capturing properties of Li:NiOx compared to that of NiOx, leading to higher current densities by Li doping. The electrical conductivity of NiOx is improved by Li doping. Further improvements of the device were made by using an additional ZnO layer onto PCBM, to remove shunt paths, leading to a PCE of 14.2 % and a fill factor of 0.72.  相似文献

The diffusion dynamics of particles in heterogeneous media is studied using particle-based simulation techniques. A special focus is placed on systems where the transport of particles at long times exhibits anomalies such as subdiffusive or superdiffusive behavior. First, a two-dimensional model system is considered containing gas particles (tracers) that diffuse through a random arrangement of pinned, disk-shaped particles. This system is similar to a classical Lorentz gas. However, different from the original Lorentz model, soft instead of hard interactions are considered and we also discuss the case where the tracer particles interact with each other. We show that the modification from hard to soft interactions strongly affects anomalous-diffusive transport at high obstacle densities. Second, non-linear active micro-rheology in a glass-forming binary Yukawa mixture is investigated, pulling single particles through a deeply supercooled state by applying a constant force. Here, we observe superdiffusion in force direction and analyze its origin. Finally, we consider the Brownian dynamics of a particle which is pulled through a two-dimensional random force field. We discuss the similarities of this model with the Lorentz gas as well as active micro-rheology in glass-forming systems.  相似文献

Incorporation of an N,O-isopropylidenated threonine more than doubles the head-to-tail cyclization yield. A rapid, environmental friendly and low-cost method to prepare hydroxyapatite nanoparticles is proposed. In this method, hydroxyapatite is produced in a sonicated pseudo-body solution. The sonication time was found effective in the formation of the crystalline phase of nanoparticles. In our experimental condition, 15 min sonication resulted in the most pure hydroxyapatite phase. Also it was shown that growth temperature is a crucial factor and hydroxyapatite crystallizes only at 37 °C. The particles formed by sonication were generally smaller and more spherical than those obtained without sonication. Sonication increased the hydroxyapatite crystal growth rate up to 5.5 times compared to non-sonication condition. The comparison between the specific surface area of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles obtained by sonication and without sonication demonstrated that sonication increased the specific surface area from 63 m2/g to 107 m2/g and decreased the size of nanoparticles from 30 nm to 18 nm. Analysis on the pore structure demonstrated that the fractal structures obtained with and without sonication were considerably different.  相似文献

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) has been potentially considered as a supersede to Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor (CMOS) because of its inherent advantages. Many QCA-based logic circuits with smaller feature size, improved operating frequency, and lower power consumption than CMOS have been offered. This technology works based on electron relations inside quantum-dots. Due to the importance of designing an optimized decoder in any digital circuit, in this paper, we design, implement and simulate a new 2-to-4 decoder based on QCA with low delay, area, and complexity. The logic functionality of the 2-to-4 decoder is verified using the QCADesigner tool. The results have shown that the proposed QCA-based decoder has high performance in terms of a number of cells, covered area, and time delay. Due to the lower clock pulse frequency, the proposed 2-to-4 decoder is helpful for building QCA-based sequential digital circuits with high performance.  相似文献
