Hypophosphite ion is oxidised by Au(III) in aqueous hydrochloric acid to give phosphorus acid and Au(I). The kinetics of the reaction has been studied spectrophotometrically in the UV region at different temperatures. The oxidation of hypophosphorous acid is first order with respect to both Au(III) and substrate. Hydrogen ion has no effect on the rate in acid media (0.15–1.0)M. The energy and entropy of activations are 128 ± 3.0kJ mol?1 and 135.8 ± 6.5 JK?1 mol?1 respectively. The results are interpreted in terms of the probable formation of intermediate Au(lI). 相似文献

Two new copper(II) complexes, [Cu2(L1)2](ClO4)2 (1) and [Cu(L2)(ClO4)] (2), of the highly unsymmetrical tetradentate (N3O) Schiff base ligands HL1 and HL2 (where HL1 = N-(2-hydroxyacetophenone)-bis-3-aminopropylamine and HL2 = N-(salicyldehydine)-bis-3-aminopropylamine) have been synthesised using a template method. Their single crystal X-ray structures show that in complex 1 two independent copper(II) centers are doubly bridged through phenoxo-O atoms (O1A and O1B) of the two ligands and each copper atom is five-coordinated with a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The asymmetric unit of complex 2 consists of two crystallographically independent N-(salicylidene)-bis(aminopropyl)amine-copper(II) molecules, A and B, with similar square pyramidal geometries. Cryomagnetic susceptibility measurements (5–300 K) on complex 1 reveal a distinct antiferromagnetic interaction with J = ?23.6 cm?1, which is substantiated by a DFT calculation (J = ?27.6 cm?1) using the B3LYP functional. Complex 1, immobilized over highly ordered hexagonal mesoporous silica, shows moderate catalytic activity for the epoxidation of cyclohexene and styrene in the presence of TBHP as an oxidant. 相似文献

Habenaria edgeworthii Hook. f. ex Collett is an important terrestrial orchid used in different Ayurvedic formulations. In the present study, variations among morphological, phytochemical and molecular markers were assessed. A significant difference was observed among populations using morphological traits. Inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) data revealed lower genetic diversity at population level (He = 0.207) as compared to species level (He = 0.334). Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) indicates 74 % variation among populations and 26 % within population. Tuber extracts showed significantly (p < 0.05) higher total phenolics and flavonoids among the populations. Antioxidant activity determined by 2,2′-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assays exhibited considerable antioxidant potential. Furthermore, the associations between molecular and morphological and phytochemical attributes were studied using multiple regression analysis (MRA). Several ISSR fragments were associated with some morphological and phytochemical traits. These ISSR fragments can be useful for breeding programme of the species when no other genetic information, such as linkage maps and quantitative trait loci, is available. 相似文献

The solid‐state viscoelastic properties are examined for intercalated nanocomposites based on a copolyester and (2‐ethyl‐hexyl)dimethyl hydrogenated‐tallow ammonium montmorillonite. The nanocomposites are prepared via the direct melt intercalation technique using a conventional twin‐screw extruder. Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis of the nanocomposites is conducted using two different test setups. The dynamic mechanical relaxation spectra show an increase in the storage modulus of the nanocomposite over the entire temperature range under study as compared to the pristine polymer (except in the transition region from 70 to 80 °C). These results are analyzed using the empirical Havriliak–Negami (HN) equation. The four temperature independent HN parameters (α, β, E0, and E∞) and one temperature dependent parameter (τ, the relaxation time) are determined by solving the HN equation for each temperature over the range of temperatures. The calculated moduli results fit well with the experimental values of the relaxation spectra for the nanocomposites. This study shows that the HN model can be applied to polymer layered silicate nanocomposites, and it can be used to predict their dynamic mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies a priori. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We construct a supersymmetric left–right model in four dimension with gauge-Higgs unification starting from a SU(3)c×SU(4)w×U(1)B−L gauge symmetry in five dimension. The model has several interesting features, such as, the CKM mixings in the quark sector are naturally small while for the neutrino sector it is not, light neutrino masses can be generated via the seesaw mechanism in the usual way, and the model has a U(1)R symmetry which naturally forbid dimension five proton decay operators. A homopolymer of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and its copolymer with styrene at different compositions were synthesized and characterized.
Viscosity measurements of the synthesized homopolymer and the copolymers in toluene solutions were performed at 313 K. Different
equations were used to calculate the intrinsic viscosity, viscometric constants values, and molecular weight of the synthesized
polymers. The values of intrinsic viscosity and viscosity average molecular weight obtained by the two methods (single point
determination and graphical extrapolation) were compared in order to verify the validity of the single point determination

Differential pulse voltammetry was used to study the formation and level of thymine dimer in DNA duplex modified on a gold
electrode. The electrochemical signal of methylene blue coupled with ferricyanide can be obtained via DNA mediated electron
transfer, which would be blocked during the formation of thymine dimer. DNA duplexes with different sequences differ in the
level of thymine dimer under the same UV irradiation. Futhermore, the presence of guanine base directly preceding -TT- can
effectively decrease the level of thymine dimer, possibly due to the self-repair process in which guanine participates. The
proposed method can be further applied to DNA self-repair analysis. 相似文献
