Reaction of (phenylenedioxy)trihalophosphoranes with arylacetylenes: VI. Regiochemistry of the reaction of 2,2,2-trihalo-5-methylbenzo[<Emphasis Type="Italic">d</Emphasis>][1,3,2]dioxaphospholes with arylacetylenes

NMR and IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to show that the reaction of 2,2,2-trichloro- and 2,2,2-tribromo-5-methylbenzo[d][1,3,2]dioxaphospholes with para-substituted arylacetylenes proceeds with regioselective formation of 4-aryl-2-halo-7-methyl-2-oxobenzo[e][1,2]oxaphosphorines. With the trichlorophosphole, selective chlorination of the phenylene fragment in the para position to the endocyclic oxygen atom occurs. With the tribromophosphole, 6-bromo- and unsubstituted benzo[e][1,2]oxaphosphorines are formed as major products. Cyclization of the N-(diisopropoxyphosphoryl)monohydrazide of maleic acid

Stereoselective synthesis of spirophosphoranes with a phosphorus—carbon bond based on 2-(2-acetylphenoxy)benzo-1,3,2-dioxaphosphole

The reactions of 2-(2-acetylphenoxy)benzo-1,3,2-dioxaphosphole containing the carbonyl group in the δ position with respect to the phosphorus atom with chloral and hexafluoroacetone afford tricyclic spirophosphoranes containing a phosphorus—carbon bond with high regio and stereoselectivity. On the Fourier-Laplace transform of functionals on a space of infinitely differentiable functions on a convex compact

Classes of ultradifferentiable functions are classically defined by imposing growth conditions on the derivatives of the functions. Following this approach we consider a Fréchet-Schwartz space of infinitely differentiable functions on a closure of a bounded convex domain of multidimensional real space with uniform bounds on their partial derivatives. Our aim is to obtain Paley-Wiener-Schwartz type theorem connecting properties of linear continuous functionals on this space with the behaviour of their Fourier-Laplace transforms. Very similar problems were considered by M. Neymark, B.A. Taylor, M. Langenbruch, A.V. Abanin.     

Investigation of diterpenoid isosteviol ammonium derivatives by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry

Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectra of diterpenoid isosteviol ammonium derivatives have been analyzed. The compounds were synthesized as antibacterial agents. It has been found that peaks of salt cations were detected in positive ion MALDI mass spectra of mono-quaternary derivatives. The fragmentation of bis-quaternary salts depended on the distance between the ammonium centers. Clusters containing dication and acidic matrix anion have been observed for compounds with two quaternized nitrogen atoms connected by a nonanomethylene or a longer spacer. Similar clusters did not form for compounds containing pentamethylene or a shorter spacer between two quaternized nitrogen atoms.     

Supercritical fluid extraction of pesticides from human hair followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometric analysis

A supercritical fluid extraction process using supercritical carbon dioxide for the isolation of chlororganic and phosphororganic pesticides from human hair is developed. The effect of process parameters (temperature, pressure, duration) on the efficiency of pesticide extraction is studied. The gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technique is used for the quantitative analysis of pesticide concentration in hair.     

Curvature Extrema and Four-Vertex Theorems for Polygons and Polyhedra

Discrete analogs of extrema of curvature and generalizations of the four-vertex theorem to the case of polygons and polyhedra are suggested and developed. Several interrelated approaches are considered. For smooth curves and polygonal lines in the plane, a formula relating the number of extrema of curvature to the winding numbers of the curves (polygonal lines) and their caustics is obtained. One of the main results in the higher-dimensional case says that any regular triangulation of a d-ball containing at least d simplices has at least d so-called ears. Bibliography: 25 titles.
